Week 13 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football

Week 13 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football

Week 13 Sleepers 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Fantasy football owners have no more bye weeks to contend with for the rest of the season, but unfortunately many of them have injuries to key players that hurt them in Week 12. Hopefully the Week 13 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football options will help owners recover from roster hits if you had from players such as ARI RB Chris Johnson, SEA TE Jimmy Graham or CLEV QB J McCown to name a few. –  Good Luck this week

Quarterback Sleepers Week 13

OAK Derek Carr ( vs KC )-

The new and improved KC defense was anything but new and improved Week 12, when they let BUFF QB Tyron Taylor throw all over them for 291and 3 TDs. Carr will be comfortable playing in his own stadium

WASH Kirk Cousins (vs DAL )–

Capt. Kirk plays at home for the 3rd time in 4 weeks. In the 2 previous home games Weeks 10 & 12, Cousins threw for a combined 626 yards and 5 TD passes. Dallas is one of the better NFL teams vs the pass however

IND M Hasselbeck (at PITT)–

In Week 12, QB M Hasselbeck showed that he is getting even more comfortable as the Colts starting quarterback by throwing for 315 yards and 2 TDs. Hasselbeck also usually does hurt you with interceptions, he’s only thrown 2 picks in the 4 games he’s played in this year

Running Back Sleepers Week 13

CHI Jeremy Langford vs SF)-

In Week 12, when most fantasy football prognosticators thought RB Matt Forte was back and most likely getting his normal 20+ touches for the Bears, it turned out to be a close split between RBs Forte and Langford. For fantasy football owners of Langford, it was nice that he was given the goal line rush for the TD in the 2nd qtr. The Bears have reported that it will remain a close split of carries between the backs, and Week 12 showed it to be true. Nice match up Week 13

IND Dan Herron (vs PITT)-

It’s a lot easier to pass on the Steelers, than it is to run on them, so beat up RB Frank Gore should have a another bad week. The other back RB Herron might do well, with receptions and screen passes out of the back field

SF Shaun Draughn (at CHI )-

Especially in PPR leagues, RB S Draughn is the lead back in San Francisco and the Bears run defense is near the bottom is the NFL. He’ll has fantasy value just on volume of touches this week

CINN Gio Bernard (at CLEV)-

Gio has had some quiet games of late, but Cleveland won’t be hard to beat Week 13, with the loss of QB Josh McCown and starting QB Austin Davis. The Bengals will likely spend a lot time handing off to running backs to wind down the clock

Wide Receiver Sleepers Week 13

MIA DeVante Parker ( vs BALT)-

WR Rishard Matthews suffered “multiple fractured ribs” in the Dolphins’ Week 12 loss to the Jets,The Dolphins now figure to turn to first-round pick DeVante Parker as a starter down the stretch of their lost season

BALT Kamar Aiken (at MIA)–

The Miami Dolphins have the 27th worst defense in the NFL, and WR Aiken is the #1 wide receiver for the Ravens. New QB Matt Schaub seems to trust him, targeting him 10 times in Week 12, for 80 yards and 1 TD pass. Expect more of the same in week 13

PITT Markus Wheaton (vs IND)–

Even Pittsburgh’s coach Mike Tomlin hinted Markus Wheaton’s 201-yard breakout performance Week 12 was opponent specific and unlikely to recur. However, WR Martavis Bryant (hip) did not practice Wednesday, and the Steelers are being coy about what his “hip injury”. IF Bryant sits, Wheaton could have another breakout

SF Anquan Boldin (at IND)

SF QB Blaine Gabbert isn’t great, nor is the SF NFL team, but Gabbert does seem to like throwing to WR A Boldin. In Week 12 ( vs a very tough Arizona Cardinal team) Boldin caught 8-of-11 targets for 93 yards. He has a much easier contest Week 13 vs the Bears

ATL Roddy White (at TB)–PPR Sleeper

White has been a disappointment this year to say the least, but with WR Leonard Hankerson still out with the hamstring injury, White did secured 6-of-8 targets for 60 yards in the Falcons’ Week 12 loss to the Vikings

Tight End Sleepers Week 13

NE Scott Chandler (vs PHIL )-

If you read my “Sleepers” from Week 12-LINK–  TE S Chandler might already be on your roster. Chandler was a nice part of the offense Week 12 before Gronk’s injury. No one really knows how long Gronk will need to nurse his knee injury, but he has stated that he won’t return until he’s 100 percent healthy. Chandler will be a vital part of the NE offense for a few weeks

CHI Martellus Bennett ( vs SF)-

TE Bennett has been out of action for a while with injured ribs, even dropped in many fantasy football leagues, but is back healthy and ready for Week 13. Bennett is available in 15% of Yahoo leagues -UPDATE:  There’s an odd story coming out of Chicago about TE Bennett being “in an odd mental funk” and that his role in the offense could be in question

Defense Sleeper Week 13

TB (vs ATL)-

If you know what’s wrong with ATL QB Matt Ryan lately, please tell me, but something is. Maybe he’s just not confident with his other receivers and is forcing the ball to Julio too much. Whatever it is, he’s making a ton of mistakes- 5 interceptions in the past 2 games. Tampa Bay will want to keep the pressure on
