NFL Waiver Wire Week 17

NFL Waiver Wire Week 17 2015 By Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

For some, all of their hard work and diligence ended Week 15 & Week 16, either in a glorious victory or a devastating defeat. However, not every fantasy football league has their playoffs end this early, and in a couple leagues that I participate in, even go through Week 17, which is fun. For all of you fantasy football owners still battling, here are some NFL Waiver Wire Week 17 suggestions, although not a lot of great options, that might improve your current team. UPDATE: My original “Week 17 Waiver Wire” had SEA RB Marshawn Lynch as my top pick up following HC Pete Carroll’s positive comments- but Lynch has since been ruled OUT for Week 17, so I will leave it up to you to decide who is the top waiver wire Week 17 :)  Good Luck this week

Quarterbacks Waiver Wire Week 17

ATL Matt Ryan ( vs N.O. )- In Week 16, we saw that QB Matt Ryan still has some fight in him, throwing for over 300 yards and 1 TD vs a very tough Carolina defense. In Week 17 he gets a very easy Saint’s defense. Only owned in 83% of Yahoo leagues

BALT Ryan Mallett ( at CINN)- QB Mallett shocked the Steelers Week 16, beating them with 274 passing yards and 1 TD, and hurting the Steelers chances of the playoffs. His match up Week 17 is brutal however vs an angry Bengal team smarting from their week 16 loss to Denver

CINN AJ McCarron ( vs BALT )- Week 16 vs the #1 Denver defense,QB A.J. McCarron completed 22/35 passes for 200 yards and 1 touchdown ( zero INTS). Week 17 he gets a bad Baltimore defense in a game the Bengals need to win to secure to clinch a 1st round bye

HOU Brian Hoyer ( vs JACK )- This is a wait-and-see situation, but QB Hoyer is in the final stages of his concussion protocol and HC O’Brien also made it clear Monday that Hoyer will start against the Jaguars if he gets medical clearance- Tasty match up Week 17 vs the Jags, who gave up over 400 yards and  3 TDs to NO QB D Brees Week 16

Running Backs Waiver Wire Week 17

BUFF Mike Gillislee ( vs NYJ )- Gillislee is getting almost an even timeshare with RB Karlos Williams ( following RB L McCoy’s season ending injury) …… 9 carries for 93 yards and a TD Week 16

SF DuJuan Harris ( vs STL )- Following RB Shaun Draughn’s season ending injury, the 49res had a RBBC approach Week 16, with RBs Harris, Hayne and Gaskins all getting carries, but Harris emerged with the hottest hand (11/73 yards) and he’s probably the one to get Week 17, albeit a tough match up vs the Rams

WASH Pierre Thomas ( at DAL)- RB Thomas caught 7/8 targets in the division-clincher for Washington, finishing with 89 scrimmage yards. He is now the clear 3rd down back for Washington going into Week 17. PPR owners would get Thomas with a road game against Dallas in Week 17 and he could be an interesting play Week 17 if Washington rests their starters in the 2nd half, and I think they will

MINN Jerick McKinnon ( at GB )- A Recommendation Week 16- LINKDespite putting up great stats Week 16, RB McKinnon is still simply a back up to AP and fantasy football owners cannot count on another blowout where McKinnon comes in for mop up duty. That said, the waiver wire options for Week 17 are very limited

“Sleeper” JACK Jonas Grey ( at HOU)- Jaguars OC Greg Olson said the “plan” is to “get a good look” at RB Jonas Gray in the Week 17 finale

Keep an eye on- CAR Jonathon Stewart- HC Ron Rivera said Stewart “might be” ready for Week 17, and Utter-Fantasy doubts that he suits up Week 17- UPDATE: Jonathan Stewart (foot) has been ruled out for Week 17 against the Bucs

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Week 17

HOU Nate Washington ( vs JACK )- WR Nate Washington, one of the Texan’s team leaders, caught 3/5 targets for 42 yards and a TD in Week 16. He has been a frequent waiver wire recommendation of Utter-Fantasy this season and has a dream match up Week 17 vs the Jags

SEA Jermaine Kearse ( at ARI)- All of the 3 wide receivers for Seattle have seen their production soar in the past 3 weeks, as the Seahawks move from a hard-nose running team, to a team that moves offensively thru QB Russell Wilson. WR Kearse has 222 yards and 1 TD over the past 3 weeks

CINN  Marvin Jones/ Mohamed Sanu ( vs BALT)- QB AJ McCarron is now the quarterback for the Bengals following QB Dalton’s hand injury, and McCarron does a better job of incorporating all the Cincinnati weapons than Dalton did. Week 16 Sanu rushed 2 times for 10 yards and 1 TD and caught 3/3 targets for 29 yards

Deep League Wide Receiver considerations-

ATL Roddy White ( vs NO)- 5/6 targets for 67 yards in Week 16

CAR Corey Brown/D Funchess ( vs TB )- WR Ted Ginn Jr injured his knee in a collision with teammate Cameron Artis-Payne in the first half but only missed a few plays

Terrance Williams/ Brice Butler ( vs WASH) will start on the outside if WR Dez Bryant remains sidelined

Desperate call- SD Stevie Johnson ( at DEN) – Likely ready to play, but a bad match up vs Denver’s #1 DEF

Tight Ends Waiver Wire Week 17

PHIL Zach Ertz (at NYG)-A Waiver Wire Recommendation Week 15 and Week 16- LINKand a Recommendation again this week. Ertz has a whopping 30 targets in the past 2 weeks!!!- only owned in 58% of Yahoo leagues

CHI Zach Miller (vs DET)- A Waiver Wire Recommendation Week 15- LINK–  Injuries to the Bears entire receiving corps (WR Alshon Jeffrey placed on IR) puts TE Miller’s fantasy football value high, and in Week 16 he had 8 targets from QB Jay Cutler ( 6 targets in Week 15)

NYG Will Tye- ( vs PHIL)- The Giants had just a miserable game Week 16 in Minnesota, in very cold conditions. This week they are back home vs a porous Philly defense

Week 16 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football

Week 16 Sleepers 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Fantasy football owners have no more bye weeks to contend with for the rest of the season, but unfortunately many of them have suspensions or injuries to key players that hurt them in Week 15. Hopefully the Week 16 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football options will help owners recover from roster hits if you had from players such as suspended NYG WR Odell Beckham Jr, BUFF RB LeSean McCoy,  and possibly NO QB Drew Brees to name a few. –  Good Luck this week

Quarterback Sleepers Week 16

MINN Teddy Bridgewater ( at SF )-

QB Bridgewater isn’t here just because of his impressive Week 15 ( 248 total yards and 5 TDs)…you have to love his match up Week 16 vs the Giants. The New York Giants are the worst passing defense in the NFL!

SF Blaine Gabbert ( at DET )-

QB Blaine Gabbert has put up surprisingly good numbers in the 5 games that he’s started, especially Week 15 vs a very tough Cincy defense- 305 total yards and 1 TD. He will want to impress for next year, vs a subpar Detroit defense

MIA Ryan Tannehill ( vs IND )-

The Dolphins play their last 2 games at home, and in Week 17, New England comes to town. If QB Tannehill wants to impress the home crowd before the season is over, this is the week to do it. Indianapolis is 4th worst vs the pass

Running Back Sleepers Week 16

JACK Denard Robinson (vs ATL )-

RB Denard Robinson (foot) says he intends to play Week 16 against a very bad saints defense. If he does, he could have a big day

SEA Christian Michael (vs CLEV )-

Any running back facing Cleveland’s 31st worst rushing defense should be started and considered a favorite to put nice sleeper stats for Week 16

NYJ Bilal Powell ( at DAL)-

RB Bilal Powell- a Recommended Week 15 Sleepers Week 14-LINK– got a touchdown for the 3rd straight week

SD Donald Brown (at OAK)-

I like both of the backs this week at Oakland, but it’s RB Donld brown that is the “sleeper”. RB Melvin Gordon’s season ending injury gives the RB D Brown the start as the lead running back

Wide Receiver Sleepers Week 16

BALT Kamar Aiken (vs PITT)-

A favorite Waiver Wire mention of mine during the season -LINK– and the clear cut favorite target in Baltimore now, and for the rest of the season

NYG Rueban Randle (at MINN)-

WR Odell Beckham Jr’s 1 game suspension automatically lifts the fantasy value of all NY Giant’s offensive options- WR Dwayne Harris is also a considertation for a nice “sleeper” wide receiver week 16

MINN Stefon Diggs (vs NYG)-

Stefon Diggs caught 3 receptions for 55 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Week 15. He has a dream match up Week 16 vs the worst pass defense in the NFL

DAL Terrance Williams/ Cole Beasley (vs NYG)-

Dez Bryant (foot, ankle) has been ruled out for Week 16, so WRs terrance Williams and Cole Beasley naturally get a fantasy boost and Sleeper possibilities

SEA Jermaine Kearse (vs STL)-

SEA WR Doug Baldwin (hamstring) remained sidelined Thursday, and could be a game-time decision against the Rams. If Baldwin sits, Kearse will start opposite WR Tyler Lockett- Kearse caught 7/8 targets for 110 yards Week 15-  UPDATE: SEA Doug Baldwin (hamstring) was a full participant at Friday’s practice and is now ‘probable’ to play Week 16

TENN Dorial Green-Beckham (vs HOU)-

Coming on strong of late, DGB had 6-of-9 targets for 113 yards in Week 15, and his 100-yard day was his second in three weeks. He is probably the wide receiver that new QB Zach Mettenberger has practiced with the most

Tight End Sleepers Week 16

TENN Delanie Walker ( vs HOU )

The Titans won’t be able to run the ball vs the Houston run defense, so if they want to stay competitive in Week 16, expect QB Mettenberger to throw a ton

NYG Will Tye (vs CAR)-

A “Recommended Sleeper” Week 14- LINK– and a “Recommended Sleeper Week 15- LINK– TE Tye has 2 TDs in the past 2 games- WR Odell Beckham Jr’s 1 game suspension automatically lifts the fantasy value of all NY Giant’s offensive options- TE Tye has 2 TD receptions in his past 2 games with OBJ playing

DET Eric Ebron (vs SF)-

No TDs in the past 2 games, but he is getting 5 targets a game from QB Matt Stafford, and has become the solid 3rd option behind WRs Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate, other than running backs for Detroit

Defense Sleeper Week 16

JACK ( at N.O.) –

QB Drew Brees ( foot) is really hurting and may not play this game. Whoever starts will be under great pressure from the Jag’s defense

MINN ( vs NYG)-

The Giants will be without suspended WR Odell Beckham Jr, so the Vikings need only to stack the box against the New York running backs and make Eli beat you with WRs Rueban Randle and Dwayne Harris

Good Luck in your quest for a championship

Start Em Sit Em Week 16 2015

Start Em Sit Em Week 16 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Like other fantasy football prognosticators, below are my Start Em Sit Em Week 16 NFL Fantasy Football players, minus the obvious. ( No one needs to read that I think fantasy owners should start all your Pittsburgh players vs the #26 worst Baltimore defense ) For the Record- I don’t claim to have anymore insight on the games than the fantasy league owners reading these, but I do enjoy sharing my “opinions” on them, as well as reading yours-  Good Luck this week

Quarterbacks Start Em Week 16

SD Philip Rivers ( at OAK )- QB P Rivers was great for fantasy football owners for the first 8 weeks of the season, then tanked for them….until Week 15. Home against the Dolphins Rivers put up 311 yards and 3 TDs. Oakland is the 5th worst passing defense in the NFL

WASH Kirk Cousins (at PHIL)–  If you read my team reports in the preseason, in my Washington report- LINK– I was a clear believer in QB Cousins over QB RG3 and now it’s reported that the team and staff are as well. QB Cousins had 330 total yards Week 15 and 4 TDs. He has a nice match up week 16. Only owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues

MINN Teddy Bridgewater ( vs NYG) –I didn’t suddenly fall in love with QB Bridgewater because of his impressive Week 15 ( 248 total yards and 5 TDs)…but I do love his match up Week 16 vs the Giants. The New York Giants are the worst passing defense in the NFL!

Sleeper Start Em Week 16- SF Blaine Gabbert ( at DET )- QB Blaine Gabbert has put up surprisingly good numbers in the 5 games that he’s started, especially Week 15 vs a very tough Cincy defense- 305 total yards and 1 TD. He will want to impress for next year, vs a subpar Detroit defense

Start Em Week 16 No Brainers- QB Matt Stafford (vs SF )…..Cam Newton (at ATL)…..NYG Eli Manning (at MINN)…..JACK Blake Bortles (NO)

Running Backs Start Em Week 16

TB Doug Martin (vs CHI )- Bucs HC Lovie Smith said RB Doug Martin winning the rushing title is “important.” Currently with a 6-8 record, Lovie Smith can feel good about his rookie QB fairing pretty well in this first year, and getting Martin the rushing title. Chicago is 7th worst vs the run

SD Danny Woodhead/ Donald Brown (at OAK)- I like both of these backs this week at Oakland. Fantasy football owners who didn’t start Woodhead last week won’t make the same mistake twice, and RB Melvin Gordon’s season ending injury gives the RB D Brown the start as the lead running back

HOU Alfred Blue (at TENN )- Texans coach Bill O’Brien said Alfred Blue “ran with a purpose” Week 15 against the Colts. Blue should continue his recent success against a bad Titans defense

ARI David Johnson ( vs GB )-RB David Johnson was by far the #1 running back in Week 15- 187 yards and 3 TDs. Now he’s at home vs a subpar GB running defense

Start Em Week 16 Sleeper- SEA Christian Michael (vs CLEV )- Any running back facing Cleveland’s 31st worst rushing defense has to be started

Start Em Week 16 Sleeper and caution- NO Tim Hightower (vs JACK )- A lot of RB Hightower’s success Week 16 will depend if QB D Brees (foot) plays or not

Start Em Week 16 NFL No Brainers- KC C West ( vs CLEV )….MINN AP ( vs NYG)

Wide Receivers Start Em Week 16

Jeremy Maclin ( vs CLEV )- In the AFC wild-card chase has the New York Jets looking to bump either Pittsburgh or Kansas City for a playoff spot so the Chiefs will want to win this easy one

DET Golden Tate ( vs SF )- It appears that the Lions really want to end the season on high notes, and are playing their best football. QB Stafford’s go-to-guy is WR Tate right now, and SF has the 26th worst defense vs the pass

BALT Kamar Aiken (vs PITT)- A favorite Waiver Wire mention of mine during the season -LINK– and the clear cut favorite target in Baltimore now, and for the rest of the season

Sleeper Start Em Week 16- TENN Dorial Green-Beckham (vs HOU) Coming on strong of late, DGB had 6-of-9 targets for 113 yards in Week 15, and his 100-yard day was his second in three weeks. He is probably the wide receiver that new QB Zach Mettenberger has practiced with the most

Sleeper Start Em Week 16- NYG Rueban Randle (at MINN)-WR Odell Beckham Jr’s 1 game suspension automatically lifts the fantasy value of all NY Giant’s offensive options

Start Em Sit Em Week 16 No Brainers- TB Mike Evans ( vs CHI)…..JACK WRs A Robinson & A Hurns ( vs ATL)….BUFF Sammy Watkins ( vs DAL)……SEA Doug Baldwin ( vs STL)

Tight Ends Start Em Week 16

NYG Will Tye (at MINN)- WR Odell Beckham Jr’s 1 game suspension automatically lifts the fantasy value of all NY Giant’s offensive options- TE Tye has 2 TD receptions in his past 2 games with OBJ playing

TENN Delanie Walker ( vs JACK )- On fire of late ( 30 targets in the past 3 games and 3 TDs) and it makes sense that he’ll be targeted often as a safety valve receiver by new QB Z Mettenberger

WASH Jordan Reed (vs BUFF)-  A “Recommended Start Week 14- LINK and he paid off with 3 TD receptions in the past 2 games. TE Reed is a must start with Kirk Cousins as quarterback

PHIL Z Ertz ( vs WASH)- 20 targets in the past 2 games ……2 TD receptions in his past 3 games

Here’s a great link for rankings of NFL Teams vs the TE positionLINK

Defense Start Em Week 16

BUFF ( vs DAL)- New QB Kellen Moore did pretty well Week 15, replacing QB Matt Cassel vs the Jets Week 15. Many QBs have good days against defenses that did not prepare for them. Buffalo will come prepared

HOU (at TENN)– With no running game to speak of, and a new QB Z Mettenberger under center, JJ Watt and company should be more than rwdy for this one. Houston’s record will go to under .500 if they lose this game

Start Em Sleeper JACK ( at N.O.) – QB Drew Brees ( foot) is really hurting and may not play this game. Whoever starts will be under great pressure from the Jag’s defense

Start Em Sit Em Week 16 No Brainers- KC Defense vs CLEV….CAR Defense vs ATL

HERE’S A GREAT LINK TO ANALYZE DEFENSES- LINK

Quarterbacks Sit Em Week 16

DAL Kellen Moore (at BUFF)- Although QB Kellen Moore faired pretty well Week 15, replacing QB Matt Cassel vs the Jets Week 15, Buffalo will come prepared and I do not like any of the Cowboys players Week 16…except perhaps Dez

KC Alex Smith ( at CLEV )– Even in mouth-watering match ups, QB A Smith disappoints any fantasy football owners who make the mistake of starting this QB. The guy who I have named “Deacon Dunk”, has only 2 TD passes in the past 2 games, and that was against SD & BALT

ATL Matt Ryan ( vs CAR )- Even if QB M Ryan wasn’t having a disastrous season ( which he is)….I would not recommend starting vs this Carolina defense

Sit Em Week 16 No Brainers-CLEV J Manziel ( at KC )…….ST L Case Keenum  vs SEA

Running Backs Sit Em Week 16

BALT Javorius Allen (vs PITT)- It is a whole easier to pass against Pittsburgh than it is to run against them. ( PITT #5 vs the run)- Additionally, RB Allen seems to have hit an offensive wall, rushing for only 32 yards in his past 2 gamess

NYJ Chris Ivory (vs NE)-  RB Ivory’s numbers have dropped drastically ever since the Jets started involving RB Bilal Powell more in the offense. The Pat’s are 10th best defending the run, and Ivory has only scored 1 TD since Week 9

Caution on ATL Devonta Freeman (vs CAR)– QN Matt Ryan’s poor play and a Great Panther defense makes RB freeman a very risky play Week 16 for fantasy football owners. These 2 teams played each other just 2 weeks ago, and RB Freeman was held to only 40 yards rushing on 12 attempt

Sit Em Week 16 No Brainers- TENN Antonio Andrews( vs HOU)….NO CJ Spiller ( vs JACK)

Wide Receivers Sit Em Week 16

NE Danny Amendola (at NYJ )- Any Patriot player can surprise you any given week with a monster stat line, but with only 1 TD reception since Week 7, with only 1 reception Week 15, fantasy football owners can’t risk starting Amendola Week 16 in their championship playoff

CINN Marvin Jones (at DEN )- If you have WR AJ Green, you have to start him week 16, even against the #1 pass defense of the Denver Broncos and hope he does an “Antonio brown” on them. I wouldn’t start WR Marvin Jones however

N.O. Brandon Cooks/ Willie Snead (vs JACK) – If QB D Brees doesn’t play ( Asked when he’ll make clear Drew Brees’ (foot) status, N.O. HC Payton replied, “Before I let you guys know, it’ll be Sunday morning.”)…his back up is QB Matt “Ugh” Flynn

CLEV Travis Benjamin (at KC)- The only Cleveland offense player you can realistically start is TE Gary Barnidge

Sit Em No Brainers Week 16- SF WRs Torrey Smith ( at PHIL )…..STL WRs not named Tavon Austin

Tight Ends Sit Em Week 16

BALT Crockett Gillmore ( vs PITT )- Although Pittsburgh is one of the easier teams to throw against, Gillmore’s numbers have tanked since QB M Schaub’s injury

PITT Heath Miller (at BALT)- QB Ben Roethlisberger likes TE Miller, but he isn’t looking for him in the red zone at all…..zero TDs since Week 2. Also, Baltimore is the the #2 NFL defending the TE position

Caution on CLEV Gary Branidge (at KC )- TE G Barnidge will probably have a good Week 16 regardless, but the caution is: The Chiefs are the #1 NFL defending the TE position

Defense Sit Em Week 16

SF Defense ( at DET )– The 49er defense isn’t very good to begin with, and the Lions seem to be finally playing well, (albeit too late too save their season)

CLEV (vs KC)- The Chiefs play too safe of football to start a defense against them, especially a bad Cleveland defense

GB Defense ( vs ARI )- The Cardinals are playing too good, and the Packer’s defense is in the bottom half of the NFL statistically

Sit Em Defense Week 16 No Brainers- NYG ( vs MINN)…..N.O. (vs JACK)

NFL Waiver Wire Week 16

NFL Waiver Wire Week 16 2015 By Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

For some, all of their hard work and diligence ended Week 15, either in a glorious victory or a devastating defeat. However, not every fantasy football league has their playoffs end this early, and in a couple leagues that I participate and am the commishioner in, even go through Week 17 which is fun. For all of you fantasy football owners still battling, here are some NFL Waiver Wire Week 16 suggestions that might improve your current team. Good Luck this week

Quarterbacks Waiver Wire Week 16

MINN Teddy Bridgewater ( vs NYG )- I didn’t suddenly fall in love with QB Bridgewater because of his impressive Week 15 ( 248 total yards and 5 TDs)…but I do love his match up Week 16 vs the Giants. Not that QB Cam Newton and the Panthers aren’t playing great, but the grotty Giants defense was almost non-existent inside the red zone….they are bad! Only owned in 55% of Yahoo leagues

WASH Kirk Cousins ( at PHIL)- If you read my team reports in the preseason, in my Washington report- LINK– I was a clear believer in QB Cousins over QB RG3 and now it’s reported that the team and staff are as well. QB Cousins has a nice match up week 16. Only owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues

JACK Blake Bortles ( at N.O. )- Only owned in 66% of Yahoo leagues, QB Bortles is available in more leagues than he should be. He faces a team that is dead-last in defense Week 16

Running Backs Waiver Wire Week 16

Christine Michael ( vs STL )- Like so many team that loss their starting running back in recent weeks, fantasy football owners & fantasy football prognosticators could only guess as to who would get the most carries in the upcoming week(s). RB Bryce Brown was the waiver wire favorite, but ended up taking a backseat to former Seahawks Christian Michael ( 16 carries-84 yards Week 16)

SD RB Donald Brown ( at OAK)- 12 carries for 90 yards in Week 15 after RB Melvin Gordon’s injury- UPDATE: Melvin Gordon is OUT for the season

CAR Cameron Artis-Payne ( at ATL)- RB Fozzy Whitaker was thought to split carries, and may even start Week 15 over rookie Artis-Payne, but once again, this NFL team had other ideas, which we only discovered on game day….(14 carries for 59 yards in Week 15 and adding two catches for 34 additional yards)

NYG Rashad Jennings ( at MINN)- Knucklehead HC Tom Coughlin perhaps has figured out that a running back needs multiple carries to get going. ( only took him 14 weeks to discover this)- Week 14 RB jennings had 22 carries, and the Giants beat the Dolphins in Miami 31-24. Week 15 Jennings had 16 carries ( his 2nd most in 2015) and the Giants nearly beat the Panthers in a nail-biter- Run him Coughlin!

BUFF Karlos Williams/  Mike Gillislee (vs DAL)- RB LeSean McCoy left the game with a right knee injury, and we don’t know yet how severe his injury is. If McCoy can’t play Week 16 against the Cowboys, Gillislee and Williams will likely get split carries

NYJ Bilial Powell ( vs NE)- For the past couple weeks, I have suggested grabbing RB Powell as a solid handcuff for R C Ivory- LINK– but recently Powell has proved to be more than a handcuff, but a valuable fantasy contributor to the Jets offense-6 carries for 25 yards and a TD Week 15 and 7 receptions for 54 yards

Keep an eye on- JACK Denard Robinson ( suffered a sprained left foot in Week 15) his status for Week 16 is uncertain, as is RB TJ Yeldon- next on the roster- RBs Jonas Gray and Joe Banyard

With HD2HD playoffs locked up for some, this is the time to think about insurance RB HANDCUFFs-

PITT Jordan Todman …backing up RB DeAngelo Williams

MINN Jerick McKinnon…backing up AP…only owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Week 16

BALT Kamar Aiken ( vs PITT )- A favorite Waiver Wire mention of mine during the season -LINK– and the clear cut favorite target in Baltimore now, and for the rest of the season- Only owned in 15% of Yahoo leagues

GB James Jones ( at ARI )- Why QB Aaron Rodgers stopped throwing to this guy for a couple weeks is a mystery and Jones was dropped in many leagues. In Week 15 they got back on track with each other and Jones ended the day with 6/82/ 1 TD stat line. Tougher match up Week 16 however- Only owned in 76% of Yahoo leagues

TENN Dorial Green-Beckham (vs HOU)– Coming on strong of late, DGB had 6-of-9 targets for 113 yards in Week 15, and his 100-yard day was his second in three weeks

CINN  Marvin Jones (at SF)- QB AJ McCarron is now the quarterback in Cincinnati ( Dalton OUT for the season)- and with TE Eifert still sidelined, Jones is getting plenty of targets- he had 89 receiving yards in week 15- Still only owned in 29% of Yahoo leagues

SF Anquan Boldin ( at DET)- Can QB Blaine Gabbert actually play some QB? He can apparently get it to WR Anquan Boldin- 28 times on 44 targets in the past 5 games- and a TD pass in Week 15- Only owned in 49% of Yahoo leagues

Deep League Wide Receiver considerations-

CAR Corey Brown ( at ATL)-

SEA Jermain Kearse ( vs STL)-

BUFF Chris Hogan ( vs DAL)-

TB Adam Humphries ( vs CHI)-

You should have already picked up CAR Ted Ginn Jr, SEA Doug Baldwin & PITT Markus Wheaton-Recommended “Waiver Wire pick up Week 13- LINK

Tight Ends Waiver Wire Week 16

NYG Will Tye- ( at MINN)- For the past 3 weeks you can find TE Tye on my weekly Sleepers articles-LINK-, because he’s been a good-to-guy for QB Eli Manning especially around the goal line. 43 yards and 1 TD Week 15-Only owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues

PHIL Zach Ertz (vs WASH)-A Waiver Wire Recommendation Week 15- LINKand a recommendation again this week. Ertz had a whopping 13 targets Week 15, resulting in 78 yardsa and 1 TD- only owned in 16% of Yahoo leagues

CHI Zach Miller (at TB)- A Waiver Wire Recommendation Week 15- LINKTE Miller didn’t have quite the week I expected, but he did haul in all 6 targets from QB J Cutler Week 15, for 57 yards. He had 6 targets in Week 14 as well, and they went for 85 yards and a TD. All possible in Week 16

Start Em Sit Em Week 15 2015

Start Em Sit Em Week 15 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Like other fantasy football prognosticators, below are my Start Em Sit Em Week 15 NFL Fantasy Football players, minus the obvious. ( No one needs to read that I think fantasy owners should start Seattle’s QB Russell Wilson & most Seahawk players vs the #31 worst Cleveland defense ) For the Record- I don’t claim to have anymore insight on the games than the fantasy league owners reading these, but I do enjoy sharing my “opinions” on them, as well as reading yours-  Good Luck this week

Quarterbacks Start Em Week 15

SD Philip Rivers ( vs MIA )- QB P Rivers was the #1 fantasy quarterback for the first half of 2015, and now ( albeit due plenty to alot of team injuries), Rivers may be one of the worst now. Only 2 TD s in the past 2 games. Miami however gave up 4 TD passes to QB Eli Week 14- Rivers could throw 3 in this one

JACK Blake Bortles (vs ATL)–  QB Bortles is a must start with a great schedule and great weapons the rest of the season

NYJ Ryan Fitzpatrick ( at DAL) –Did you know that QB Fitz only has 2 games this season where he has thrown only 1 TD pass? Even in tough match ups Fitz finds a couple receivers for TD passes

Sleeper Start Em Week 15- MIA Ryan Tannehill ( at SD )- The Dolphins lost Week 14 to the #32 worst pass defense in the NFL, with QB Tannehill only passing for 234 yards and 1 TD. They were embarrassed at home and want to do the same to the Chargers in San Diego

Sleeper Start Em Week 15- CINN AJ McCarron ( at SF )- In a game where he didn’t even expect to play, QB McCarron came in for injured QB A Dalton and threw for 28 yards and 2 TDs. He’ll be more than prepared Week 15 and has plenty of weapons- SF 6th worst vs the pass

Running Backs Start Em Week 15

MIA Lamar Miller (at SD)- New OC Zac Taylor started his new job by announcing that the Dolphins would be “re-committed” to the run. Miller rushed for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 14, and should have that many in Week 14- fired HC Philbin was an idiot not running Miller

GB Eddie Lacy (at OAK )- Who hates to be in the doghouse? Lacy does. Week 14 he was out, and had 148 total yards and 1 TD. Oakland is only average vs the run, and in deeper leagues, RB James Starks can be started as well

JACK Denard Robinson (vs ATL )- RB D Robinson is one of those players who you can just tell, that he loves to play football. When given the opportunity, Robinson almost always comes thru for his team, and fantasy football owners. He came in Week 14 and had 87 total yards and 1 TD

ARI David Johnson ( at PHIL)- Since getting the Start after RB Chris Johnson went down, Johnson has had 41 carries in 2 weeks, and slotted for another 20+ day vs at Philadelphia ( who are 5th worst vs the run)

N.O. Tim Hightower ( vs DET)- Well, we know the #1 back in New Orleans isn’t RB CJ Spiller (figures)- RB Hightower had 29 touches to Spiller’s six Week 15 and faces the Lions Week 15

Start Em Week 15 Sleeper- SEA Bryce Brown (vs CLEV )- Newly acquired RB Bryce Brown would be a full-fledged “Start Em” Week 15, but as we know, only the coaching staff knows 100% right now who the #1 running back will be. Seattle cut RB DuJuan Harris, but have RBs Fred Jackson & C Michael also ready to run in RB Marshawn Lynch’s absense

Start Em Sit Em Week 15 NFL No Brainers- STL Todd Gurley ( vs TB )….MINN AP ( vs CHI)

Wide Receivers Start Em Week 15

MIA Jarvis Landry & Devante Parker ( at SD)- Embarrassed in a loss Week 14 in a game they should have won, the Dolphins will “bring it” Week 15 vs a bad Charger team

DET Calvin Johnson ( vs N.O.)- I know…I know…you’ve been burned before. But thanks to poor play and even worst coaching, the Lions are now playing for nothing but pride, so I expect QB Matt Stafford to now make Calvin happy by including him in the offense before the season is completely over- ( P.S. HC Jim Caldwell should be fired)

CAR Ted Ginn Jr (at NYG)- Even though I do not expect QB Can Newton or WR Ted Ginn Jr to play the whole game Week 15, I do expect Ginn to burn the Giants lousy pass defense at least once in this game

KC Jeremy Maclin (at BALT)- WR Maclin had 2 great games in Weeks 12 & 13, then put up a dud Week 14 at vs the Chargers. He has a good opportunity to get back on track again vs a sieve of a pass defense in Baltimore

Sleeper Start Em Week 15- Malcolm Floyd ( vs MIA)- WR Floyd is the only healthy wide receiver in San Diego right now, and had 9 targets in Week 14. One was a “drop” that would have gone for a long touchdown

Start Em Sit Em Week 15 No Brainers- NYJ Brandon Marshall ( at DAL)…..JACK WRs A Robinson & A Hurns ( vs ATL)

Tight Ends Start Em Week 15

CHI Zach Miller (at MINN)- TE Martellus Bennett is OUT for the season, and CHI QB Jay Cutler always likes to hit his tight ends, which is Zach Miller now. Week 14, 5 catches for 85 yards and 1 TD- Only owned in 3% of Yahoo leagues

GB Richard Rodgers ( at OAK)- A “Recommended Start Week 14- LINK– TE Rodgers only had 1 reception Week 14, but it was for a touchdown- 2 TDs in his past 2 games, and the Raiders are one of the worst teams in the NFL defending tight ends

WASH Jordan Reed (vs BUFF)-  A “Recommended Start Week 14- LINK and he paid off with 120 yards and 1 TD. TE Reed is a must start with Kirk Cousins as quarterback

Start Em Sleeper NYG Will Tye (vs CAR)- A “Recommended Sleeper” Week 14- LINK– 30 yards and 1 TD pass. TE Larry Donnell (neck) hasn’t seen the field since Week 8, so TE Tye has filled in for him. Tye has 30 targets from QB Eli Manning in the past 5 games

Here’s a great link for rankings of NFL Teams vs the TE positionLINK

Defense Start Em Week 15

STL ( vs TB)- Rookie QB Jameis Winston has run into a tough patch of late, throwing only 3 TD passes in his last 3 games. This week he is without WR Vincent Jackson, so he’s going to be in trouble

KC (at BALT )– The Ravens are just playing out the season, and they aren’t even sue who the starting QB will be Week 15. The Chiefs defense will have a fun day in this one

MIA (at SD)Although I expect QB Philip Rivers to rebound a little from his zero TD passes in 3 of his last 4 games, his going to make mistakes Week 15 and Miami will capitalize on them

Start Em Sleeper JACK ( vs ATL) – The Falcons and QB Matt Ryan are playing as bad as any team in the NFL right now. QB M Ryan only has 2 TD passes in his past 3 games

Start Em Sit Em Week 15 No Brainers- SEA Defense vs CLEV….NE Defense vs TENN

HERE’S A GREAT LINK TO ANALYZE DEFENSES- LINK

Quarterbacks Sit Em Week 15

PHIL Sam Bradford (at ARI)- Although QB Bradford doesn’t tend to throw a lot of interceptions, he also tend to throw a lot of TDs either- only 6 in his past 6 games. The Cardinal defense ranks #7 overall

TENN Marcus Mariota ( at NE )– The Patriots pass defense ranks #7 and QB Mariota is also running into a “rookie” wall….throwing zero TDs in 3 of his last 6 games

ATL Matt Ryan ( at JACK)- Now isn’t the time for fantasy football owners to start a quarterback playing as bad as Ryan is, even against a Jaguar pass defense that isn’t very good

Sit Em Week 15 No Brainers-CLEV J Manziel ( vs SEA)…….ST L Case Keenum  vs TB

Running Backs Sit Em Week 15

HOU RB Alfred Blue (at IND)- Another team that has decided to run 4 different backs in games

CAR Jonathon Stewart (at NYG)– Can’t see why the Panthers would risk getting RB Stewart hurt in a meaningless game? I like “Sleeper” CAR Cameron Artis-Payne better this week

WASH Alfred Morris/ Matt Jones (vs BUFF )-  Neither of these backs are playing well, averaging less than 3 yards per carry, and they split too much of the work to pay off for fantasy owners

IND Frank Gore (vs HOU )-  RB Gore is averaging only 40 yards per game over the past 4 games. The Houston defense will not let him “up” his average

SD Melvin Gordon (vs MIA)– Same write up as Week 13, just playing a different team. A “preseason favorite” of mine is turning out to be a bust of the “Trent Richardson” variety. ZERO TDs in 2015…….I repeat….ZERO TDs in 2015

Sit Em Week 15 No Brainers- DAL D McFadden( vs NYJ)….NO CJ Spiller ( vs DET)

Wide Receivers Sit Em Week 15

PHIL Jordan Matthews (vs ARI)- It’s tough enough to start a wide out who hasn’t topped 60 receiving yards since Week 9, but also one who is facing the #6 Arizona Cardinals pass defense

DAL Dez Bryant (vs NYJ )- Another big name roster guy that i am recommending you to sit, but truthfully, what ha he done for you lately? He’s only averaging 30 yards in his past 3 games ( zero TDs) because QB M Cassel doesn’t even try to get him the ball

PITT M Bryant/ M Wheaton (vs DEN) – WR Antonio Brown is just too darn talented to sit in any game, even vs the #1 Denver pass defense, but I would not trust Bryant or Wheaton this week

GB Davante Adams (at OAK)- Even in a tasty match up, Adams is no longer trustworthy as a starter, dropping more than he catches it seems. He has only 83 total receiving yards in past 4 games

Sit Em No Brainers Week 15- SF WRs A Boldin/ T Smith ( vs CINN )…..CLEV T Benjamin ( vs SEA)

Tight Ends Sit Em Week 15

DAL J Witten ( vs NYJ)- Since QB Tony Romo went down, I have advised against starting TE Witten, and he hasn’t topped 45 yards in any of the games- zero TDs

NE Scott Chandler (vs TENN)- With GRONK’s return, TE Chandler’s role plummeted to zero receptions Week 15. He will still be involved in the Pat’s offense, but not enough to start anymore

PITT Heath Miller (vs DEN)- 2 of the 3 wide receivers in Pittsburgh are getting sits from me Week 14, and so is TE Miller

Defense Sit Em Week 15

PHIL Defense ( vs ARI )- The Cardinals are playing too good, and the Eagle’s defense is playing too bad to start Week 15

TENN Defense ( at NE )– The Titans won’t be able to slow the Pats down, especially with GRONK back and maybe even WR J Edleman

DET Defense ( at N.O.)– The Lions couldn’t stop RB Todd Gurley Week 14, when the Rams were starting QB Case Keenum. They won’t stop QR Brees and company

Sit Em Defense Week 15 No Brainers- CLEV (at SEA)…..SD ( vs MIA)

NFL Waiver Wire Week 15

NFL Waiver Wire Week 15 2015 By Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

In Week 13, fantasy football owners didn’t wake up Monday morning, to find a bunch of their key players OUT for the season. Unfortunately we can’t say the same for Week 14-  On this Monday morning we found out that CINN QB Andy Dalton is likely OUT for the season. Similar bad news for SEA RB Thomas Rawls and CLEV WR Brian Hartline. We also don’t know how bad JACK RB TJ Yeldon is, NE RB LeGarrett Blount, TB WR Vincent Jackson, CINN TE Tyler Eifert or CAR RB Jonathon Stewart. Hopefully our NFL Waiver Wire Week 15 will help your fantasy football team of with names of available fantasy players on your waiver wire. Good Luck this week

Quarterbacks Waiver Wire Week 15

NYJ Ryan Fitzpatrick ( at DAL )- QBs Fitzpatrick and HOU QB B Hoyer are two NFL quarterbacks who can put decent numbers for fantasy football owners, and yet are usually available in about 75% of fantasy leagues. Not a great match up Week 15, but Fitz has weapons and is usually match up proof. Only owned in 23% of Yahoo leagues

HOU Brian Hoyer/ T.J. Yates ( at IND)- QB B Hoyer sustained a concussion in the 4th qtr of the game Week 14, so fantasy football owners need to monitor the QB situation all week to see who will start Week 15. The Colts are #26 worst vs the pass

KC Alex Smith ( at BALT )- If you lost CINN QB Andy Dalton, you may be scrambling this week for a replacement. QB Smith should have had a nice stat line Week 14, but ended with only 191 yards- 1 TD and 1 INT. Although he isn’t ideal for the playoffs, he does have a desirable match up Week 15 at Baltimore

QB A.J. McCarron (at SF )-  With QB A Dalton OUT for the season after sustaining a broken thumb in Week 14, McCarron came in and completed 22/32 passes for 280 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs in the Bengals’ Week 14 loss to the Steelers

Deep League Options: DAL Matt Cassel ( vs NYJ)…..STL Case Keenum ( vs TB)…..BALT Matt Schaub/ Ryan Mallett (vs KC)

Running Backs Waiver Wire Week 15

JACK Denard Robinson ( vs ATL)– Since we don’t know exactly who is going to be the lead man in Seattle, I like the #1 RB NFL Waiver Wire Week 15 to be RB Denard Robinson. RB T.J. Yeldon suffered a knee sprain against the Colts, the severity of which is still unknown. Finishing up in Week 15, Robinson ended the day with 87 total yards and 1 TD

N.O. Tim Hightower ( vs DET)- Well, we know the #1 back in New Orleans isn’t RB CJ Spiller (figures)- RB Hightower had 29 touches to Spiller’s six Week 15 and faces the Lions Week 15

SEA RBs Bryce Brown/ Christine Michael ( vs CLEV )- The loss of RB Thomas Rawls was huge for some fantasy football owners (OUT for the season) especially since the match up is so tasty Week 15 vs CLEV, who are next to last in the NFL vs the run. The Saints situation Week 14 showed us that it’s tough to predict who will be the lead back going forward-  UPDATE: There are reports that Bryce Brown and C-Mike will “share carries,” with Fred Jackson “coming in on third down.” Hopefully we’ll know more by Friday

CAR Cameron Artis-Payne ( at NYG)- The Panthers announced a week ago that they wouldn’t sit players Week 14, an for the most part they didn’t. RB Jonathon Stewart has been ruled OUT for Week 15. Fozzy Whitaker is said to get split carries, and may even start. Like the RB situation is Seattle, hopefully we’ll know more by Friday

NE James White/ Brandon Bolden (at HOU)- RB LeGarrette Blount left Sunday night’s Week 14 game against the Texans with a hip injury but walked off under his own power. We will know more of the severity of his injury later this week

With HD2HD playoffs locked up for some, this is the time to think about insurance RB HANDCUFFs-

PITT Jordan Todman …backing up RB DeAngelo Williams

NYJ Bilal Powell….handcuffing RB Chris Ivory- Recommended Week 14 Waiver Wire handcuff  Week 14- LINK– ended Week 14 with 82 total yards and 1 TD

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Week 15

N.O. Willie Snead ( vs DET)- Likely dropped in Week 12 due to an injury to his calf which sidelined him the rest of Week 12 and all of Week 13. Snead returned Week 14 and had 8 targets from QB D Brees for 122 receiving yards- Only owned in 16% of Yahoo leagues

SD Malcolm Floyd ( vs MIA )- Injuries to WRs D Inman and Stevie Johnson Week 13 leaves Malcolm Floyd as the only healthy wide receiver in San Diego- In Week 14 WR M Floyd had 9 targets from QB P Rivers- Only owned in 12% of Yahoo leagues

CINN  Marvin Jones (at SF)- QB AJ McCarron is now the quarterback in Cincinnati ( Dalton OUT for the season)- and Jones ended Week 14 with 8 targets- Only owned in 28% of Yahoo leagues

Other Deep League Wide Receiver considerations- CLEV Terrell Pryor….HOU Nate Washington….BUFF Robert Woods….TB Donteea Dye/Adam Humphries….deep deep Leagues KC Albert Wilson

You should have already picked up CAR Ted Ginn Jr & SEA Doug Baldwin Recommended “Waiver Wire pick up Week 13- LINK

Tight Ends Waiver Wire Week 15

CHI Zach Miller ( at MINN)- TE Martellus Bennett is OUT for the season, and CHI QB Jay Cutler always likes to hit his tight ends, which is Zach Miller now. Week 14, 5 catches for 85 yards and 1 TD- Only owned in 3% of Yahoo leagues

PHIL Zach Ertz (vs ARI)-Ertz caught the longest pass of his career in the fourth quarter, a 41-yard catch-and-run that set up the Eagles’ game-winning field goal. He ended the week with 5 catches for 98 yards and is only owned in 16% of Yahoo leagues

TB Austin Seferian-Jenkins (at STL)- WR Vincent Jackson is now OUT for several weeks, so Seferian-Jenkins now has a new big role in the Bucs offense. He reeled in 3/6 targets for 31 yards in the Buccaneers’ Week 14 loss to the Saints

Deeper league Addition: DET Eric Ebron ( at N.O.)- TE Brandon Pettigrew likely has a season-ending knee injury, so the disappointing TE Ebron could have an expanded role going forward. Only owned in 11% of Yahoo leagues

Week 14 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football

Week 14 Sleepers 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Fantasy football owners have no more bye weeks to contend with for the rest of the season, but unfortunately many of them have injuries to key players that hurt them in Week 13. Hopefully the Week 14 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football options will help owners recover from roster hits if you had from players such as NO RB Mark Ingram, CHI TE Matellus Bennett or any of the Charger WRs to name a few. –  Good Luck this week

Quarterback Sleepers Week 14

KC Alex Smith ( vs SD )-

1st time he’s been here! The Chargers are playing terrible and barely have a team, after so many key injuries to their roster. Also, Smith won’t hurt you with INTs. He hasn’t thrown one since Week 3

DEN Brock Osweiler ( vs OAK )-

The Raiders are better defending the run than they are defending the pass. QB Osweiler is getting more comfortable with his receivers every week, especially Demaryius Thomas, who has 2 TD passes in the past 3 games

HOU Brian Hoyer (vs NE )–

It’s a pretty safe guess to assume that the Texans will be playing from behind in this one, so QB Hoyer could 43 pass attempts like he did in Week 13 vs a tough defense like Buffalo has. Hoyer has thrown for at least 2 TDs in all the games he’s played in except 2, and hasnt thrown more than 1 INT in any of them

Running Back Sleepers Week 14

SF Shaun Draughn (at CLEV)-

“Sleeper” Recommendation Week 13- LINK– and he satisfied more than a Snickers candy bar can, with 86 total yards and 1 TD. He faces the Browns who are 2nd worst in the NFL at defending the run

DET Ameer Abdullah (at STL )-

This one is a stretch I’ll grant you, but the Rams are downright awful of late, and maybe….just maybe…that DET head coach has figured out to give the ball to Abdullah more. RB Abdullah has had 41 carries over the past 3 weeks, by far most on the team

NO CJ Spiller ( at TB)-

It pains me some to put him here, because hes a talented back who has burned fantasy football owners plenty, but RB Mark Ingram’s season ending injury opens the door for Spiller to finally do what we know he can. It could be RB Tim Hightower who takes over, we don’t know yet, but it makes sense to me to think Spiller does, having already worked with QB Brees all season

Wide Receiver Sleepers Week 14

MIA DeVante Parker ( vs BALT)-

WR DeVante Parker was a “Sleeper” Recommendation Week 13- LINK– and it turned out to be a good call-63 yards and 1 TD and his TD reception in the 2nd qtr made highlight reels. Parker plays the NY Ginats at home Week 14, who are dead last vs the pass

CAR Devin Funchess (at N.O.)-

The Panthers announced that they are sitting anyone, despite having a 12-0 record. If they are true to their word, then what a great opportunity for QB Can newton to get the rookie more action and experience before the playoffs, against the worst pass defense in the NFL

PITT Markus Wheaton (vs CINN)–

QB Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers talked up WR Markus Wheaton in the preseason, then forget about him in the regular season. He has come on in the past 2 games, racking up 251 yards receiving and 2 TDs. The Steelers are facing the Bengals in Cincinnatii who are tough against the run, not so tough vs the pass

Tight End Sleepers Week 14

NE Scott Chandler (at HOU )-

If you read my “Sleepers” from Week 12-LINK–  ( and Week 13) TE S Chandler might already be on your roster. Chandler was a nice part of the offense Week 12 before Gronk’s injury. No one really knows how long Gronk will need to nurse his knee injury, but he has stated that he won’t return until he’s 100 percent healthy. Chandler will be a vital part of the NE offense for a few weeks

TB Austin Seferian-Jenkins ( vs N.O.)-

In his 1st game back from injury, TE Seferian-Jenkins immediately got 6 targets from QB J Winston, and that was from just playing 21-of-71 snaps Week 13. He will get even more Week 14

NYG Will Tye (at MIA)-

TE Larry Donnell (neck) hasn’t seen the field since Week 8, so TE Tye has filled in for him. If you saw the game Week 13, you saw that Tye has some pretty good hands, hauling in 3 receptions for 70 yards- He has 25 targets from QB Eli Manning in the past 4 games

Defense Sleeper Week 14

SF (at CLEV)–

The Browns are starting Manziel this week, and as usual, there are those who think this guy is already great, even though his on-field and off-field record has been anything but. The 49res defense is better than it gets credit for

GB (vs DAL)–

The Cowboys have no choice but to run out QB Matt Cassel, who hasn’t thrown for 300 yards in any game, and who has only thrown 1 TD pass since Week 9

Start Em Sit Em Week 14 2015

Start Em Sit Em Week 14 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Like other fantasy football prognosticators, below are my Start Em Sit Em Week 14 NFL Fantasy Football players, minus the obvious. ( No one needs to read that I think fantasy owners should start Seattle’s QB Russell Wilson vs the sieve that is the Baltimore pass defense ) For the Record- I don’t claim to have anymore insight on the games than the fantasy league owners reading these, but I do enjoy sharing my “IMOs” on them, as well as reading yours-  Good Luck this week

Quarterbacks Start Em Week 14

MIA Ryan Tannehill ( vs NYG )- New York is the worst team vs the pass, but average vs the run, so Miami should throw a lot if they want to beat the Giants

JACK Blake Bortles (vs IND)–  QB Bortles is proving to be “match-up” proof. He had a tough match up Week 13, but still threw for over 300 yards and tossed 5 touchdown passes. He is playing at a very high level

TB Jameis Winston (vs N.O.) –QB Winston has plenty of good weapons around him, and the Saints can’t cover any of them

Sleeper Start Em Week 14- DEN Brock Osweiler ( vs OAK )- The Raiders are better defending the run than they are defending the pass. QB Osweiler is getting more comfortable with his receivers every week, especially Demaryius Thomas, who has 2 TD passes in the past 3 games

Sleeper Start Em Week 14- KC Alex Smith ( vs SD )- 1st time he’s been here! The Chargers are playing terrible and barely have a team, after so many key injuries to their roster. Also, Smith won’t hurt you with INTs. He hasn’t thrown one since Week 3

Start Em Week 14 No Brainers- Cam Newton vs ATL…..PITT B Roethlisberger vs IND

Running Backs Start Em Week 14

MIA Lamar Miller (vs NYG)- New OC Zac Taylor started his new job by announcing that the Dolphins would be “re-committed” to the run. Miller rushed for 100+ yards in Week 13, and should have that many in Week 14

Thomas Rawls (vs BALT )- I bet RB Marshawn Lynch would have liked to play in this game! The Seahawks will have the ball a lot, so Rawls will probably get as many carries as he can take

SF Shaun Draughn (at CLEV )- RB S Draughn played well the past 3 games, even though he was facing 3 tough defenses. Now he gets an easy one- The Cleveland Browns- 2nd worst defending the run

Start Em Week 14 Sleeper- DET Ameer Abdullah (at STL )- This one is a stretch I’ll grant you, but the Rams are awful right now, and maybe….just maybe…that DET head coach has figured out to give the ball to Abdullah more

Start Em Sit Em Week 14 NFL No Brainers- PHIL LeSean McCoy ( at PHIL )….CAR Jonathan Stewart ( vs ATL)

Wide Receivers Start Em Week 14

TB Mike Evans & Vincent Jackson ( vs N.O.)- The New Orleans Saints are dead last in total defense, and only the New York Giants are worst at defending the pass

MIA Jarvis Landry & Devante Parker ( vs NYG)- With the injury to WR Rishard Matthews, gave WR D Parker the start opposite WR Landry Week 13, and his TD catch in the 2nd qtr made highlight reels. The New York Giants are LAST defending the pass

CAR Ted Ginn Jr (at N.O.)- The Panthers announced that they are sitting anyone, despite having a 12-0 record. If they are true to their word, then WR Ginn should get plenty of targets and score for you Week 14

SEA Doug Baldwin (vs BALT)- With TE Jimmy Graham going down (OUT for the season), Baldwin has stepped it up in a big way- 240 yards and 5 TDs, in the past 2 games

KC Jeremy Maclin (vs SD)- I think WR Maclin is finally having fun this season ( 255 yards and 3 TDs, in the past 2 games) and the Chargers are the perfect team to help him have even more fun

Start Em Sit Em Week 14 No Brainers- JACK Allen Robinson vs IND…..A J Green (vs PITT)

Tight Ends Start Em Week 14

NE Scott Chandler (vs PHIL)- If you read Utter-Fantasy’s “Start Em” Week 13- LINK-, you would have scored  TE Scott Chandler on your fantasy football team. With Gronk OUT again Week 14, Chandler is a must start again

GB Richard Rodgers ( vs DAL)- Even before his “Hail Mary” 61 yard TD reception which ended the game Week 13 vs Detroit Lame-os…TE Rodgers had 85 receiving yards on 7 receptions. QB Aaron Rodgers will continue to look for TE Rodgers, especially with WR Davante Adams dropping almost every pass thrown his way lately

WASH Jordan Reed (at CHI)- 25 targets from QB Kirk Cousins in the past 3 games. Note however, that the Bears are 4th best at defending the TE position

Start Em Sleeper TB Austin Seferian-Jenkins ( vs N.O.)- In his 1st game back from injury, TE Seferian-Jenkins immediately got 6 targets from QB J Winston, and that was from just playing 21-of-71 snaps Week 13. He will get even more Week 14

Start Em Sleeper NYG Will Tye (at MIA)- TE Larry Donnell (neck) hasn’t seen the field since Week 8, so TE Tye has filled in for him. If you saw the game Week 13, you saw that Tye has some pretty good hands, hauling in 3 receptions for 70 yards- He has 25 targets from QB Eli Manning in the past 4 games

Start Em Sit Em Week 14 No Brainer- G Olsen (vs ATL)…JACK Julius Thomas ( vs IND)……KC T Kelce (vs SD)

Here’s a great link for rankings of NFL Teams vs the TE positionLINK

Defense Start Em Week 14

DET ( at STL)- Over the last 4 weeks, the Rams have averaged just 9.0 points per game and have 10 turn overs in the same span as well. QB Nick Foles is playing as bad as anyone at the position right now- (completing 15/35 passes for 146 yards and 1 INT in Week 13) so all defenses have to do is stack the box against RB T Gurley

KC (vs SD)– Few teams are as beat up as the Chargers are right now, and QB Rivers has gone from being the top fantasy passer for fantasy football owners to 0 TD passes in 2 of his past 3 games

SF (at CLEV)The Browns are starting Manziel this week, and as usual, there are those who think this guy is already great, even though his on-field and off-field record has been anything but. The 49res defense is better than it gets credit for

Start Em Sit Em Week 14 No Brainers- SEA Defense at BALT….CAR Defense vs ATL

HERE’S A GREAT LINK TO ANALYZE DEFENSES- LINK

Quarterbacks Sit Em Week 14

MINN Teddy Bridgewater (at ARI)- The easy part here is because the Vikings are playing the Cardinals, but regardless of who Minnesota is playing, QB Bridgewater is not playing very good. He is not a quarterback that will help you win in fantasy football Week 14. Only 3 TD passes in the past 6 games

SD Philip Rivers ( at KC )– The Chiefs defense is playing at a high level again and Rivers has gone from being the top fantasy passer for fantasy football owners to 0 TD passes in 2 of his past 3 games- UPDATE: Reports out of San Diego has Rivers with sever flu symptoms- He’ll likely play, but he won’t do much

OAK Derek Carr ( vs DEN)- Now isn’t the time for fantasy football owners to start a quarterback against the #1 pass defense in the NFL

ATL Matt Ryan ( vs CAR)- The Falcons have lost 5 straight and QB Ryan is one of the reasons for certain. Ryan has thrown more INTs ( 3) in the past 2 games than TD passes (2)

Sit Em Week 14 No Brainers- BALT Matt Schaub ( vs SEA)…….ST L Nick Foles  vs DET…..CLEV Manziel vs SF

Running Backs Sit Em Week 14

HOU RB Alfred Blue (vs NE)- Here’s what HC Belichick does….he takes away your #1 RB ( A Blue)…your #1 WR ( D Hopkins) and forces you to beat them with whoever is left

OAK Latavius Murray (at DEN)– To start with, Murray has under 60 yards rushing in 3 of his past 4 games, and has scored only 5 touchdowns all season. The Broncos are the 2nd overall defense and 5th vs the run

STL Todd Gurley (vs DET )-  A “Sit Em” Week 13- LINK– and a “Sit Em” again Week 14. Gurley has only 18 carries over the past 2 games for 60 yards- 0 TDs

BALT Javorius Allen (vs SEA )-  You have to love what RB Allen has done since getting the starting gig, but that was against the Rams, Browns and Dolphins. You won’t love him against the Seahawks defense

SD Melvin Gordon (vs KC)– Same write up as Week 13, just playing a different team. A “preseason favorite” of mine is turning out to be a bust of the “Trent Richardson” variety. ZERO TDs in 2015…….I repeat….ZERO TDs in 2015

Sit Em Week 14 No Brainer- NYG R Jennings ( at MIA)….NO CJ Spiller ( at TB)

Wide Receivers Sit Em Week 14

OAK Amari Cooper (at DEN)- The #1 pass defense will shut down Cooper Week 14

TENN Dorial Green-Beckham ( at NYJ )- Fantasy Football owners likely took notice of DGB’s Week 13 stat-line…..5/119 yards and 1 TD, and made him a hot waiver wire commodity. I myself, would have to see more than one flukey week and DGB is playing the Jets this week with Darrelle Revis (concussion) back practicing Thursday. You should look elsewhere

SD Malcolm Floyd ( at KC) – As practically the only healthy wide receiver left on the Chargers roster, the Chiefs won’t have a hard time deciding who to shut down

NOTE: I am also concerned about ATL Julio Jones Week 14- QB Matt Ryan is playing his worst football ever, and Atlanta plays in Carolina vs the red hot Panthers

NOTE: I am also concerned about HOU DeAndre Hopkins– see notes on- Running Backs Sit Em Week 14- HOU RB Alfred Blue

Sit Em No Brainers week 14- MINN St Diggs/ Mike Wallace ( at ARI)…..BALT Kamar Aiken ( vs SEA)

Tight Ends Sit Em Week 14

BALT Crockett Gillmore( vs SEA )- It’s just going to be a tough day for all the Ravens Week 14, especially playing for nothing but pride

DAL J Witten ( at GB)- When QB Tony Romo is starting, TE Witten is a good fantasy football option. When QB Matt Cassel is starting, TE Witten is a bad fantasy football option

CHI Zack Miller ( vs WASH) Maybe with TE Martellus Bennett OUT for the season….Miller steps it up and produces, but Washington is one of the best team vs the TE position.

Sit Em No Brainer Week 14 DEN Vernon Davis ( vs OAK)

Defense Sit Em Week 14

SAN DIEGO Defense ( at KC )-This page is riddled with Sit Em Chargers, so why shouldn’t their defense be here as well. Besides, QB Alex Smith hasn’t thrown an interception since Week 3

ATL Defense ( vs CAR)– The Panthers are 12-0 ecasue they are playing great, the Falcons are not

CLEV Defense ( vs SF )– Despite playing a team that isn’t very good ( the 49ers), the Browns shouldn’t be started Week 14. They are ranked #31 worst defense regardless of who they playing

Sit Em Defense Week 14 No Brainers- ATL (at CAR)……BALT ( vs SEA)

Good Luck this week

NFL Waiver Wire Week 14

NFL Waiver Wire Week 14 2015 By Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

For once, many fantasy football owners didn’t wake up Monday morning Week 13, to find a bunch of their key players OUT for the season. In previous weeks, fantasy football owners had lost big name players such as SEA Marshawn Lynch, ARI Chris Johnson, SEA TE Jimmy Graham, IND RB Ahmad Bradshaw or DAL QB Tony Romo to name a few –  Therefore, the NFL Waiver Wire Week 14 isn’t loaded with a lot of names to help your fantasy team, but there are some good ones. Good Luck this week

Quarterbacks Waiver Wire Week 14

JACK Blake Bortles ( vs IND)- Bortles was a “Sit Em’ for me Week 13, and man did he proved me wrong. With WR Allen Hurns OUT, and taking on the Titans in Tennessee, I thought he’d struggle. Instead…he had 322 passing yards and 5 TDs. He has a great schedule going forward- IND-ATL-N.O. and HOU- Bortles is available in 28% of Yahoo leagues

NYJ Ryan Fitzpatrick ( vs TENN )- In Week 13, no quarterback threw for more yards than Jets Ryan Fitzpatrick. Only owned in 14% of Yahoo leagues, Fitz is available for many fantasy owners who took it on the chin from other QBs such as Tannehill, Rivers and Cutler (who aren’t helping anyone) In Week 13, the Titans gave up 322 yards and 5 TDs to JACK Blake Bortles

DEN Brock Osweiler (vs OAK)-  As long as QB Osweiler keeps winning …QB P Manning can stay on the sidelines and heal some more. QB Osweiler had a tasty match up Week 13 at San Diego and has another nice one Week 14 vs the Raiders

Running Backs Waiver Wire Week 14

ARI David Johnson (vs MINN )- A Recommended “Waiver Wire pick up Week 13- LINK– Johnson delivered for fantasy football owners who took my advice by rushing for 120 total yards and 1 touchdown-Only owned in 52% of Yahoo leagues

SF Shaun Draughn ( at CHI)- Also A Recommended “Waiver Wire pick up Week 13- LINK– but still only owned in 10% of Yahoo leagues. His week 13 wasn’t stellar…13 rushes for 36 yards but he did have a TD run

DET Theo Riddick- PPR- ( at ST L)- Riddick has quietly been a steady fantasy option for owners this season ( in PPR leagues anyways) averaging 5 catches per game- Riddick also has 3 receiving touchdowns

( if you’re crazy enough to guess) NE James White/ Brandon Bolden (at HOU)-  No one likes to mess with defenses ( and fantasy football owners) more than HC Bill Belichick. Any given week, either one of these guys can be a fantasy star or fantasy dud- I gave up trying to guess the NE backfield a while ago

Deeper Leagues- ARI Kerwynn Williams ( vs MINN)- RB David Johnson is the #1 running back in Arizona ( with Chris Johnson and A Ellington OUT) but HC B Arians will rotate in backs and Williams is the guy. 6 carries for 59 and 1 TD Week 14

Deep League Gamble- GB John Crockett- RBs Eddie Lacy & Alonzo Harris missed the Packers’ team curfew Wednesday night….Lacy was benched and Harris was cut. Lacy is in Mike McCarthy’s “doghouse” and could be dealing with more than a one-week benching. In his place Week 13, Crockett looked fast, eager to play and rushed 5 times for 22 yards in Green Bay’s Week 13 win over the Lions

With HD2HD playoffs locked up for some, this is the time to think about insurance RB HANDCUFFs-

PITT Jordan Todman …backing up RB DeAngelo Williams

NYJ Bilal Powell….handcuffing RB Chris Ivory

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Week 14

MIA DeVante Parker ( vs NYG )- A Recommended “Waiver Wire pick up Week 13- LINK– With WR Rishard Matthews injured (fractured ribs) the Dolphins’ turned to first-round pick DeVante Parker as a starter Week 13- 63 receiving yards and 1 TD. He also has a great schedule going forward starting with the worst NFL defense vs the pass Week 14- the New York Giants

CAR Ted Ginn Jr- (vs ATL )- Amazingly, WR Ginn is only owned in 36% of Yahoo leagues, despite having 48 targets from QB Cam Newton in the past 6 games, resulting in 35 receptions, a bunch of yards and 3 TDs. His schedule for the rest of the year is tasty….ATL-NYG-ATL then TB

SEA Tyler Locket (at BALT)- Week 13 Waiver Wire included WR Doug Baldwin ( who delivered with 94 receiving yards and 2 TDs) but WR Tyler Lockett shouldn’t be ignored. 15 targets in the past 3 games, 176 receiving yards and 2 TD receptions

CINN  Marvin Jones (at PITT)- With TE Tyler Eifert shelved with an injured neck and no timetable yet for a return, fantasy football owners can revisit interest in WR Marvin Jones who will no doubt benefit from Eifert’s rehab- Jones had 5 receptions Week 13 for 55 yards and 1 TD

SD Malcolm Floyd ( at KC )- Injuries to WRs D Inman and Stevie Johnson Week 13 leaves Malcolm Floyd as the only healthy wide receiver in San Diego- UPDATE: Stevie Johnson has been declared OUT for Week 14

Other Wide Receiver considerations- BALT Chris Givens- NO Brandon Coleman

You should have already picked up SEA Doug Baldwin- PITT Markus Wheaton- Recommended “Waiver Wire pick up Week 13- LINK

Tight Ends Waiver Wire Week 14

GB Richard Rodgers ( vs DAL)- Even before his “Hail Mary” 61 yard TD reception which ended the game Week 13 vs Detroit Lame-os…TE Rodgers had 85 receiving yards on 7 receptions. QB Aaron Rodgers will continue to look for TE Rodgers, especially with WR Davante Adams dropping almost every pass thrown his way lately

NYG Will Tye (at MIA)- TE Larry Donnell (neck) hasn’t seen the field since Week 8, so TE Tye has filled in for him. If you saw the game Week 13, you saw that Tye has some pretty good hands, hauling in 3 receptions for 70 yards- He has 25 targets from QB Eli Manning in the past 4 games

TB Austin Seferian-Jenkin (vs N.O.)- In his game back from injury Week 13, Seferian-Jenkin was quickly targeted by QB J Winston 6 times. He has a delicious match up Week 14 vs the Saints- Only owned in 7% of Yahoo leagues

Deep leagues- SEA Luke Willson (at MIA)- The Seahawks are without TE Jimmy Graham (knee) OUT for the season, but that doesn’t mean they are without a good tight end. In 2014, Willson had 362 receiving yards and 3 TD receptions

Week 13 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football

Week 13 Sleepers 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Fantasy football owners have no more bye weeks to contend with for the rest of the season, but unfortunately many of them have injuries to key players that hurt them in Week 12. Hopefully the Week 13 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football options will help owners recover from roster hits if you had from players such as ARI RB Chris Johnson, SEA TE Jimmy Graham or CLEV QB J McCown to name a few. –  Good Luck this week

Quarterback Sleepers Week 13

OAK Derek Carr ( vs KC )-

The new and improved KC defense was anything but new and improved Week 12, when they let BUFF QB Tyron Taylor throw all over them for 291and 3 TDs. Carr will be comfortable playing in his own stadium

WASH Kirk Cousins (vs DAL )–

Capt. Kirk plays at home for the 3rd time in 4 weeks. In the 2 previous home games Weeks 10 & 12, Cousins threw for a combined 626 yards and 5 TD passes. Dallas is one of the better NFL teams vs the pass however

IND M Hasselbeck (at PITT)–

In Week 12, QB M Hasselbeck showed that he is getting even more comfortable as the Colts starting quarterback by throwing for 315 yards and 2 TDs. Hasselbeck also usually does hurt you with interceptions, he’s only thrown 2 picks in the 4 games he’s played in this year

Running Back Sleepers Week 13

CHI Jeremy Langford vs SF)-

In Week 12, when most fantasy football prognosticators thought RB Matt Forte was back and most likely getting his normal 20+ touches for the Bears, it turned out to be a close split between RBs Forte and Langford. For fantasy football owners of Langford, it was nice that he was given the goal line rush for the TD in the 2nd qtr. The Bears have reported that it will remain a close split of carries between the backs, and Week 12 showed it to be true. Nice match up Week 13

IND Dan Herron (vs PITT)-

It’s a lot easier to pass on the Steelers, than it is to run on them, so beat up RB Frank Gore should have a another bad week. The other back RB Herron might do well, with receptions and screen passes out of the back field

SF Shaun Draughn (at CHI )-

Especially in PPR leagues, RB S Draughn is the lead back in San Francisco and the Bears run defense is near the bottom is the NFL. He’ll has fantasy value just on volume of touches this week

CINN Gio Bernard (at CLEV)-

Gio has had some quiet games of late, but Cleveland won’t be hard to beat Week 13, with the loss of QB Josh McCown and starting QB Austin Davis. The Bengals will likely spend a lot time handing off to running backs to wind down the clock

Wide Receiver Sleepers Week 13

MIA DeVante Parker ( vs BALT)-

WR Rishard Matthews suffered “multiple fractured ribs” in the Dolphins’ Week 12 loss to the Jets,The Dolphins now figure to turn to first-round pick DeVante Parker as a starter down the stretch of their lost season

BALT Kamar Aiken (at MIA)–

The Miami Dolphins have the 27th worst defense in the NFL, and WR Aiken is the #1 wide receiver for the Ravens. New QB Matt Schaub seems to trust him, targeting him 10 times in Week 12, for 80 yards and 1 TD pass. Expect more of the same in week 13

PITT Markus Wheaton (vs IND)–

Even Pittsburgh’s coach Mike Tomlin hinted Markus Wheaton’s 201-yard breakout performance Week 12 was opponent specific and unlikely to recur. However, WR Martavis Bryant (hip) did not practice Wednesday, and the Steelers are being coy about what his “hip injury”. IF Bryant sits, Wheaton could have another breakout

SF Anquan Boldin (at IND)

SF QB Blaine Gabbert isn’t great, nor is the SF NFL team, but Gabbert does seem to like throwing to WR A Boldin. In Week 12 ( vs a very tough Arizona Cardinal team) Boldin caught 8-of-11 targets for 93 yards. He has a much easier contest Week 13 vs the Bears

ATL Roddy White (at TB)–PPR Sleeper

White has been a disappointment this year to say the least, but with WR Leonard Hankerson still out with the hamstring injury, White did secured 6-of-8 targets for 60 yards in the Falcons’ Week 12 loss to the Vikings

Tight End Sleepers Week 13

NE Scott Chandler (vs PHIL )-

If you read my “Sleepers” from Week 12-LINK–  TE S Chandler might already be on your roster. Chandler was a nice part of the offense Week 12 before Gronk’s injury. No one really knows how long Gronk will need to nurse his knee injury, but he has stated that he won’t return until he’s 100 percent healthy. Chandler will be a vital part of the NE offense for a few weeks

CHI Martellus Bennett ( vs SF)-

TE Bennett has been out of action for a while with injured ribs, even dropped in many fantasy football leagues, but is back healthy and ready for Week 13. Bennett is available in 15% of Yahoo leagues -UPDATE:  There’s an odd story coming out of Chicago about TE Bennett being “in an odd mental funk” and that his role in the offense could be in question

Defense Sleeper Week 13

TB (vs ATL)-

If you know what’s wrong with ATL QB Matt Ryan lately, please tell me, but something is. Maybe he’s just not confident with his other receivers and is forcing the ball to Julio too much. Whatever it is, he’s making a ton of mistakes- 5 interceptions in the past 2 games. Tampa Bay will want to keep the pressure on

Start Em Sit Em Week 13 NFL

Start Em Sit Em Week 13 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Like other fantasy football prognosticators, below are my Start Em Sit Em Week 13 NFL Fantasy Football players, minus the obvious. ( No one needs to read that I think fantasy owners should start Pittsburgh Steeler players at home vs the Vikings ) For the Record- I don’t claim to have anymore insight on the games than the fantasy league owners reading these, but I do enjoy sharing my “IMOs” on them, as well as reading yours-  Good Luck this week

Quarterbacks Start Em Week 13

DET Matt Stafford (vs GB)–  The Lions are on a 3 game winning streak and the Packers are looking bad, losing to a “not-so-good” Bears team week 12. The Packers may well end upwinning this game, but Stafford is finally full of confidence…he’s a Start Em

TB Jameis Winston (vs ATL) –The Falcons are losers of their last 4 games and only a fair defense vs the pass.

CHI Jay Cutler ( vs SF )- The 49ers are 29th vs the pass, and Cutler has WR A Jeffrey and RB Matt Forte back. He should have a great week

Sleeper Start Em Week 13- OAK Derek Carr ( vs KC)- The new and improved KC defense was anything but new and improved Week 12, when they let BUFF QB Tyron Taylor throw all over them for 291and 3 TDs. Carr will be comfortable playing in his own stadium

Start Em Week 13 No Brainers- NE Tom Brady vs PHIL…..PITT B Roethlisberger vs IND

Running Backs Start Em Week 13

BALT J “Buck” Allen (at MIA)- The Dolphins are currently the worst team in the NFL defending the run, and RB Buck Allen showed Monday Night Week 12 that he is fresh, and capable of handling the #1 running back position for the Ravens

CAR Jonathon Stewart ( at N.O. )– The firing of defensive coordinator Rob Ryan didn’t make the Saints defense any better, they still stink. RB Stewart hasn’t had a rushing touchdown in the 2 past games, but that should change Week 13

DEN C J Anderson (at SD)- Bronco fans are likely hoping that it snows in San Diego this weekend, because Anderson is a monster when it’s white and slippery ( 153 total yards and 2 TDs)- It looks like he might have gotten the starting gig back

Start Em Week 13 Sleeper- IND Dan Herron (at PITT )- It’s a lot easier to pass on the Steelers, than it is to run on them, so beat up RB Frank Gore should have a another bad week, while RB Herron might do well, with receptions and screen passes out of the back field

Start Em Week 13 Sleeper- PPR- SF Shaun Draughn (at CHI )- RB S Draughn is here because he is the lead back in San Francisco and the Bears run defense is near the bottom is the NFL. He’ll has fantasy value just on volume of touches this week

Start Em Sit Em Week 13 NFL No Brainers- PITT DeAngelo Williams ( vs IND)

Wide Receivers Start Em Week 13

NYJ Eric Decker/ Brandon Marshall ( vs NYG )- Regardless whether or not the Jets win this game, the wide receivers are almost guaranteed of having good games for fantasy football owners. The Giants are LAST in the NFL defending opposing wide receivers

IND Donte Moncrief ( at PITT)- Moncrief has 17 targets from Hasslebeck in past 2 games- easier to pass on PITT than run on them- only owned in 60% of Yahoo leagues

CAR Ted Ginn Jr (at N.O.)- It just makes sense to start any wide receiver against the hideously bad Saints defense

MIA Jarvis Landry/ DeVante Parker ( vs BALT)- The Ravens are far better defending the run than the are the pass. WR Rishard Matthews suffered “multiple fractured ribs” in the Dolphins’ Week 12 loss to the Jets, so even more targets for Landry and new starter DeVante Parker

Sleeper- SEA Doug Baldwin (vs MINN)- With TE Jimmy Graham going down (OUT for the season), alot more targets for the wide receivers in Seattle- He does play the Vikings however, who are 4th best vs receiving yards

Start Em Sit Em Week 13 No Brainers- DET Calvin Johnson vs GB…..TB Mike Evans vs ATL…..OAK A Cooper vs KC

Tight Ends Start Em Week 13

NE Scott Chandler (vs PHIL)- If you read Utter-Fantasy’s “Sleepers” Week 12, you could have already had TE Scott Chandler on your roster. With Gronk OUT likely a couple weeks, Chandler will be asked to do alot

KC Travis Kelce ( at OAK)- TE Kelce is usually a good fantasy option, but against the Raiders who 3rd worst vs the TE position, Kelce is a great fantasy option

JACK Julius Thomas ( at TENN)- A tougher match up Week 13 than his tasty match up Week 12 vs San Diego ( 116 yard and 1 TD) but WR Allen Hurns may not play ( concussion protocal) so a lot of those targets will go to Thomas this week

WASH Jordan Reed (vs DAL)- TE Reed, when he’s healthy, always gets a lot of targets from QB Kirk Cousins. He is healthy, and In Week 12, Reed had 9 targets, hauling in 8 of them for 98 yards

Start Em Sit Em Week 13 No Brainer- G Olsen (at NO)

Here’s a great link for rankings of NFL Teams vs the TE positionLINK

Defense Start Em Week 13

WASH (vs DAL)- I am not confident that new starting QB Matt Cassel can go into Washington and be “mistake-free”

BUFF (vs HOU)– I like Houston’s QB Brian Hoyer, but I like the Buffalo defense more. If I was Buffalo, I’d stop RB A Blue ( not too hard), double team WR Hopkins and make QB Hoyer beat me with whoever is left

NE (vs PHIL)The Pats are stinging from their loss vs the Broncos and NFL officials, so they will be in a mood to win this one- QB Sam Bradford is expected to start for Philly after being out from injury since Week 10

Start Em Sit Em Week 13 No Brainers- ARI Defense at SF…DEN Defense at SD

HERE’S A GREAT LINK TO ANALYZE DEFENSES- LINK

Quarterbacks Sit Em Week 13

MINN Teddy Bridgewater (vs SEA)- The easy part here is the Vikings are playing the Seahawks, but regardless of who Minnesota is playing, QB Bridgewater has only thrown 3 TD passes since Week 7. He is not a quarterback that will help you win in fantasy football Week 13

JACK B Bortles (at TENN )– The Titans seem to have QB Bortles number, giving him all kinds of pressure Week 11. In Week 13 they at Tennessee and QB Bortles may not have WR Allen hurns (concussion)

SD Philip Rivers ( vs DEN)- Week 11 proved that even QB Rivers can put up a real stinker now and then, and Week 13 is a match up for another one…..vs the #1 Denver defense

Sit Em Week 13 No Brainers- Sit Case Keenum ( vs ARI)…….CLEV Austin Davis (named the starter) vs CINN…..PHIL Sam Bradford vs NE

Running Backs Sit Em Week 13

N.O. Mark Ingram (vs CAR)– The Panthers are 3rd against the run in the NFL and the Saints do not look like they interested in winning any more games. QB Drew Brees is far more concerned about not getting hit, than running an offense

STL Todd Gurley (vs ARI )-  The Rams are losers of 4 straight and who knows who is going to be the starting QB. One week its Foles, then Case Keenum, then Foles. Whoever it is Week 13, the Cardinals won’t be afraid of him, and will stack the box against RB Gurley like all the teams have already been doing for weeks

SD Melvin Gordon (vs DEN)– A “preseason favorite” of mine is turning out to be a bust of the “Trent Richardson” variety. ZERO TDs in 2015…….I repeat….ZERO TDs in 2015

Sit Em Week 13 No Brainer- NYG R Jennings ( vs NYJ)….Any/All DET RBs who have the 32nd-ranked rushing attack ( vs GB)

Wide Receivers Sit Em Week 13

CLEV Travis Benjamin (vs CINN )- The Browns are starting QB Austin Davis because QB Josh McCown is OUT for the season and because QB J Manziel is an immature idiot. I wouldn’t start any Brown Week 13

SD Stevie Johnson/D Inman/ M Floyd (vs DEN)–  The Broncos are #1 against the pass. Since QB Rivers is in my Sit Em pile, his wide receivers should be as well

PHIL Jordan Matthews ( at NE )- Not a good match up at all for Matthews Week 13. As a matter if fact, the next 3 games of the season looks brutal for the Eagle’s players. NE Week 13….BUFF Week 1 and ARI Week 15

MINN St Diggs/ Mike Wallace ( vs SEA)- These wide receivers haven’t done much anyway, and it’s a good bet they won’t vs the Seahawks

Tight Ends Sit Em Week 13

DAL J Witten ( at WASH)- When QB Tony Romo is starting, TE Witten is a good fantasy football option. When QB Matt Cassel is starting, TE Witten is a bad fantasy football option

NO Ben Watson ( vs CAR )- My theme of no Saints players continues with a Sit Em for TE Watson. Hopefully you have better options than watson against a good Panther defense, and someone with a QB that wants to win ( Brees doesn’t care at all)

DEN Vernon Davis ( at SD)- The match up is great, but I am a “I’ll believe it when I see it” kind of fantasy football guy. In 3 full games with the Broncos, TE Davis is averaging only about 30 yards per game

Defense Sit Em Week 13

JACK Defense ( at TENN )- This will be a controlled, low scoring, grind it out game, with the team making the fewest mistakes as the winner

MINN Defense ( vs SEA )– The Seahawks are going to run the ball, play controlled football and QB Russell Wilson has only thrown 7 interceptions all season

CLEV Defense ( vs CINN )– The Bengals don’t have to do a lot to win this game. Cincinnati will get a lead early, and run RBs Jeremy Hill and Gio Bernard until time runs out

Good Luck this week

NFL Waiver Wire Week 13

NFL Waiver Wire Week 13 2015 By Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Fantasy football owners have no more bye weeks to contend with for the rest of the season, but unfortunately many of them have injuries to key players that hurt them in Week 12. Hopefully the NFL Waiver Wire Week 13 options will help owners recover from roster hits if you had from players such as SEA TE Jimmy Graham, IND RB Ahmad Bradshaw or JACK WR Allen Hurns to name a few –  Good Luck this week

Quarterbacks Waiver Wire Week 13

DEN Brock Osweiler (at SD)-  As long as QB Osweiler keeps winning ( albeit with a lot of help from NFL officials), QB P Manning can stay on the sidelines and heal some more. QB Osweiler has a tasty match up Week 13 at San Diego and is a nice NFL Waiver Wire Week 13 option

IND Matt Hasselbeck ( at PITT)- QB Andrew Luck isn’t due back until mid- December, and the Colts are winning without him anyways. Hasselbeck doesn’t put up big stats,( Week 12 ….11-of-17 for 191 yards and a touchdown) but he doesn’t kill you with interceptions either….only 2 in the past 4 games

DAL QB Matt Cassel ( at WASH )- QB Tony Romo may have come back too early, breaking his collar bone once again in the same place as earlier this season. Romo is OUT for the year and Cassel once again has the staring job

Running Backs Waiver Wire Week 13

ARI David Johnson (at STL )- Injuries to RB Chris Johnson and A Ellington gave David Johnson more playing time Week 12, where he rushed 8 times for 21 yards and had a touchdown. He also caught 2-of-4 targets for 8 yards against the 49ers. If Ellington and Chris Johnson are forced to sit Week 13, David Johnson will start

IND Dan Herron ( at PITT )- Another season ending injury to RB Ahmad Bradshaw puts RB Dan Herron into the Indy offense again. Herron reunites with the Colts, where he’s played before and he knows the offensive system. With RB Gore wearing down and averaging only 3.5 YPC in four straight games, Herron could be a very interesting add rest of season

NE Brandon Bolden (vs PHIL)-  It makes sense that with all the injuries to the Pat’s roster, that others are asked to step up and contribute. In Week 12 TE Scott Chandler had a bigger role, and RB Bolden Brandon Bolden had 4 carries for 11 yards and caught 4 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown

SF Shaun Draughn ( at CHI)- In Week 12 Draughn played 56-of-56 snaps in avery tough match up against the Cardinals. He ended the day with a respectable 20 touches for 86 total yards. If RB C Hyde (foot) doesn’t return to action, Draughn has a more favorable match up week 13

HANDCUFF PITT Jordan Todman ( Week 11 Bye)- Atlanta RB Devonta Freeman’s concussion injury Week 11 is a reminder to fantasy football owners of the importance of getting the fantasy football handcuff on important running backs to your fantasy roster

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Week 13

SEA Doug Baldwin (at MINN )-  A season ending injury to TE Jimmy Graham (torn right patellar tendon) gave more targets to WR Doug Baldwin who capitalized big time on them. 6/8 targets for 145 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Seahawk’s Week 12 win over the Steelers. Baldwin is Utter-Fantasy’s #1 WR NFL Waiver Wire Week 13 option

IND Donte Moncrief ( at PITT)- Moncrief 17 targets from Hasslebeck in 2 games- easier to pass on PITT than run on them

MIA DeVante Parker ( vs BALT)- WR Rishard Matthews suffered “multiple fractured ribs” in the Dolphins’ Week 12 loss to the Jets,The Dolphins now figure to turn to first-round pick DeVante Parker as a starter down the stretch of their lost season

HOU Cecil Shorts- (at BUFF )- What’s interesting is the different ways that Houston is trying to get Shorts the ball. In Week 12, Cecil Shorts caught 3/4 targets for 18 yards and a touchdown, then added three rushes for 20 yards. Tough match up Week 13 however

PITT Markus Wheaton ( vs IND)- Like the Steelers, it’s easier to pass on Seattle than it is to run on them, which Pittsburgh did Week 12. SEA QB R Wilson had a big day passing, as did QB Roethlisberger. Has WR Wheaton suddenly emerged as a viable fantasy option? Probably not anymore consistently, than he has been in previous weeks, but if the match up is right, he’s worth a roster spot. Wheaton is only owned in 5% of yahoo leagues

Deep league Waiver Wire Week 13 pick up- TENN Harry Douglas (vs JACK)- A Waiver Wire Recommendation Week 12–  and produced with with a fairly respectable week, having 29 receiving yards and 1 TD reception

Deep league Waiver Wire Week 13 pick up- JACK Bryan Walters- Depending how WR Allen Hurns (concussion) responds this week, Walters may be asked to start opposite Allen Robinson week 13. In week 12, Walters out-played back up disappointment Marqise Lee, by catching 2/3 targets for 35 yards in Jacksonville’s Week 11 win over the Titans

Tight Ends Waiver Wire Week 13

NE Scott Chandler ( vs PHIL )- A “Sleeper recommendation Week 12-  Chandler’s role was bigger due to the injuries to NE’s receiving corps. TE Gronk may have avoided a season ending injury to his knee, but Chandler was a nice part of the Pat’s offense before Gronk’s injury and Gronk may have to heal for a week

SEA Luke Willson (at MINN)- The Seahawks are without TE Jimmy Graham (knee) OUT for the season, but that doesn’t mean they are without a good tight end. In 2014, Willson had 362 receiving yards and 3 TD receptions

JACK Julius Thomas (at TENN )- TE Thomas ( only owned in 52% of fantasy football leagues) may have been dropped by fantasy owners leading up to Week 12 due to a lack of production. Thomas only had one week over 28 receiving yards prior to Week 12. With WR Allen Hurns injury (concussion), Thomas will likely be asked to do even more Week 13. In Week 12 he had 9 catches for 116 yards and one touchdown

Week 12 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football

Week 12 Sleepers 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Fantasy football owners have no more bye weeks to contend with for the rest of the season, but unfortunately many of them have injuries to key players that hurt them in Week 11. Hopefully the Week 12 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football options will help owners recover from roster hits if you had from players such as SE RB M Lynch, BALT RB J Forsett or BALT QB J Flacco to name a few. –  Good Luck this week and…..a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Quarterback Sleepers Week 12

TENN Markus Mariota ( vs OAK )-

The Titans face the Oakland Raiders who are the 3rd worst NFL team defending the pass. Also, QB Mariota expects to get WR Kendall Wright back

WASH Kirk Cousins (vs NYG )–

Capt. Kirk faces the NY Giants, who give up more passing yards than any other NFL team. WR DeSean Jackson is back and connected with Cousins immediately for 87 yards and 1 TD Week 11

TB Jameis Winston (at IND)–

In Week 11, rookie QB Jameis Winston threw for 5 TDs against an exposed Philly defense, so he has to be over-flowing with confidence going into week 12. The Colts are 4th worst vs the pass, so Winston should have another big week

Running Back Sleepers Week 12

PHIL Darren Sproles (at DET)-

A “Sleeper Recommendation Week 11-LINK- and produced with 59 total yards and 1 TD.  RB Ryan Matthews (concussion) will likely sit out Week 12, so Sproles role should increase significantly again

IND Ahmad Bradshaw (vs TB)-

An Utter-Fantasy NFL Waiver Wire Week 12 recommendation- LINK– new QB M Hasselbeck is very comfortable playing with both IND running backs Gore and Bradshaw. In Week 11, Ahmad Bradshaw rushed 9/32 yards and 4 receptions for 20 yards and two TDs

NE James White (at DEN)-

We know that the Broncos can cover wide outs and having the 7th best defense vs the run will give RB L Blount headaches, so sneaky swing out passes to White seems logically especially since it worked so well Week 11 vs Buffalo- (2 TDs)

CHI Jeremy Langford (at GB)-

Most fantasy football prognosticators have RB Matt Forte coming back strong and getting his normal 20+ touches in the Bears attempt to beat the Packers. I can’t see that happening. RB Langford is playing great, so why not ease Forte back in? The Seattle back field Week 11, when RB M Lynch was deactivated minutes before kickoff, should have taught us not to automatically expect anything

ATL Tevin Coleman ( vs MINN)-

There is a real possibility that RB Devonta Freeman (concussion) isn’t cleared to play Week 12. He didn’t practice Wednesday

KC Spencer Ware ( vs BUFF)-

Charcandrick West (hamstring) did not practicing Wednesday. Coach Andy Reid said there’s a chance West will play Sunday against the Bills, but he also has full confidence in Spencer Ware

Wide Receiver Sleepers Week 12

TB Vincent Jackson (at IND)

In Jackson’s 1st game back since Week 7, he looked very strong and rested and finished Week 11 with 56 yards and 1 TD. The Rookie QB has to be filled with confidence after throwing 5 TDs in week 11

CHI Marquess Wilson (vs GB)–

WR Eddie Royal has already been rules OUT for Week 12, and TE Martellus Bennett (ribs) has been ruled OUT as well. Wilson is a lock for 8-10 targets from QB Jay Cutler

HOU Nate Washington (vs NO)-

Washington has a nice matchup this week against a hapless Saints secondary, but must battle WR Cecil Shorts (back from injury) for targets

Tight End Sleepers Week 12

IND C Fleener ( at ATL)-

A “Sleeper Recommendation Week 11-LINK- and I’m doing it again. A new quarterback’s best friend is a tight end that he can look for when he’s pressured- When QB Matt Hasselbeck took over in Week 4, Fleener had 9 receptions for 83 yards and 1 TD. Week 11 Fleener had 5 targets, and it might be more Week 12 at home

NE Scott Chandler (at DEN )-

WR J Edleman is OUT, D Amendola is hurt, A Dobson is hurt. The Pats receiving corps is beat up and what receivers are left, the #1 Denver defense can cover. I like Chandler as a nice safety valve for QB Tom Brady, who will want to get rid of the ball in a hurry after the pounding he got from Buffalo Week 11

Defense Sleeper Week 12

MIA (at NYJ)-

The Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been throwing so many interceptions in the past 2 games, that there was talking of benching him

Start Em Sit Em Week 12 NFL

Start Em Sit Em Week 12 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Like other fantasy football prognosticators, below are my Start Em Sit Em Week 12 NFL Fantasy Football players, minus the obvious. ( No one needs to read that I think fantasy owners should start ATL WR Julio Jones at home vs the Vikings ) For the Record- I don’t claim to have anymore insight on the games than the fantasy league owners reading these, but I do enjoy sharing my “IMOs” on them, as well as reading yours-  Good Luck this week and…..a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Quarterbacks Start Em Week 12

DET Matt Stafford (vs PHIL)–  In Week 11, rookie QB Jameis Winston threw for 5 TDs against an exposed Philly defense (that looked more like a NO Saint’s defense)- The Bucs set franchise records with 283 rushing yards and their 521 yards of total offense were second in franchise history. QB Stafford should have very nice day Week 12 for fantasy football owners

HOU Brian Hoyer (vs NO) –Texans coach Bill O’Brien confirmed Monday that Brian Hoyer (concussion) will start in Week 12 against the Saints. New Orleans makes every quarterback look like he belongs in the HOF

SEA Russell Wilson ( vs PITT )- Pittsburgh is 5th best at defending the run, but 5th worst at defending the pass. Recommended Week 11-LINK- Wilson had his best game with 260 passing yards and 3 TDs

JACK B Bortles (vs SD )– After playing a Thursday Night Game in Week 11, the Jags are well rested with 10 days off and face a bad Charger team

Sleeper Start Em Sit Em Week 12- TENN Markus Mariota- The Titans face the Oakland Raiders who are the 3rd worst NFL team defending the pass. Also, QB Mariota expects to get WR Kendall Wright back

Sleeper Start Em Sit Em Week 12- WASH Kirk Cousins- Capt. Kirk faces the NY Giants, who give up more passing yards than any other NFL team

Start Em Sit Em Week 12 No Brainers- C Palmer at SF…..A Rodgers vs CHI

Running Backs Start Em Week 12

GB Eddie Lacy ( vs CHI)- Fantasy football owners of Lacy will be very happy to see the GB running back finally hitting Start Em Sit Em lists for Week 12. IIn Week 11, Lacy got back on track with 22 carries for 100 yards. Detroit is not a top NFL team defending the run, and Lacy will try to shine in Thanksgiving Prime Time

HOU Alfred Blue ( vs N.O. )– Blue proved in Week 11 ( 92 total yards and 1 TD) that when given enough opportunities, he can be viable fantasy Start Em Sit Em Week 12 NFL option for fantasy football owners. Blue faces the hideously bad Saints defense Week 12

BALT “Buck” Allen (at CLEV)- Allen shouldn’t even be considered a “sleeper” Week 12 facing THE WORST NFL Team defending the run….the Cleveland Browns. Despite having new QB Matt Schaub as the BALT starter, Allen should do well on the number of touches he gets, which should be on the 20+ side

Sleeper- PHIL Darren Sproles (at DET)- A “Sleeper Recommendation Week 11-LINK- and produced with 59 total yards and 1 TD.  RB Ryan Matthews (concussion) will likely sit out Week 12, so Sproles role should increase significantly again

Sleeper- IND Ahmad Bradshaw (vs TB)- An Utter-Fantasy NFL Waiver Wire Week 12 recommendation- LINK- new QB M Hasselbeck is very comfortable playing with both IND running backs Gore and Bradshaw. In Week 11, Ahmad Bradshaw rushed 9/32 yards and 4 receptions for 20 yards and two TDs

Start Em Sit Em Week 12 No Brainers- Chris Ivory vs MIA…..T Rawls vs PITT…….AP vs ATL

Wide Receivers Start Em Week 12

WASH DeSean Jackson ( vs NYG )- Finally healthy and getting plenty of targets from QB Capt. Kirk- Jackson had his best week of the 2015 season in Week 11, with 87 yards and 1 TD. He faces the the Giants who give up more receiving yards to opposing players than any other NFL team

ARI John Brown ( at SF )- Brown had a bit of a health scare in Week 10, and although he started, he had zero receptions. He came back stronger in Week 11 and had 52 total yards and 1 TD. With WR Michael Floyd having a multiple-week injury, Brown should see plenty of targets in a very winnable game

All GB WRs- R Cobb/ J Jones/D Adams (vs CHI)- Anyone of these wide receivers could have a huge day against a Chicago, in a game the Packers desperately want to win to keep on top of the NFC North division

CLEV Travis Benjamin ( vs BALT)– QB McCown will start Week 12 and has a pretty nice match up a Baltimore pass defense that has been the “proverbial sieve” for wide receivers

Sleeper- HOU Nate Washington (vs NO)- Washington has a nice matchup this week against a hapless Saints secondary, but must battle WR Cecil Shorts (back from injury) for targets

Sleeper- TB Vincent Jackson (at IND)– In Jackson’s 1st game back since Week 7, he looked very strong and rested and finished Week 11 with 56 yards and 1 TD

Tight Ends Start Em Week 12

PITT Heath Miller (at SEA)- The Seahawks are surprisingly the 4th worst NFL team defending the TE position – heres a nice helpful LINK

WASH Jordan Reed (vs NYG)- Although TE J Reed suffered a sprained MCL late in the Redskins’ Week 11 loss to the Panthers, he played through it and is expected to play Week 12. The Giants are one of the worst NFL team defending the TE position. IF Reed cannot go this week, WASH TE Derek Carrier is a nice fantasy football “Sleeper”

DAL J Witten ( at MIA)- Before QB Tony Romo was injured in Week 2, Witten had 17 targets/ 116 yards and 2 TDs. After QB Tony Romo was injured in Week 2……..329 yards and 0 TDs

Start Em Sit Em Week 12 No Brainer- G Olsen (at DAL)

Defense Start Em Week 12

CLEV (vs BALT)- BALT QB Joe Flacco (ACL) is OUT for the season so back up QB Matt Schaub takes over under center. Schaub has not thrown a pass in the NFL this season and will likely throw more than one costly INT

DET (vs PHIL)– The Lion’s are on a bit of a roll right now winning 2 games in a row. If QB Mark Sanchez starts as expected, he’s always good for at lat INTS a game

Sleeper MIA (at NYJ) The Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been throwing so many interceptions in the past 2 games, that there was talking of benching him

Start Em Sit Em Week 12 No Brainers- ARI Defense at SF

HERE’S A GREAT LINK TO ANALYZE DEFENSES- LINK

Quarterbacks Sit Em Week 12

BUFF Tyrod Taylor (at KC)- Early in the season, everyone was throwing on the Chiefs. Lately however, they are shutting down everyone. Additionally, QB T Taylor is injured but expected to play

OAK Derek Carr ( at TENN)- The Titans are the 3rd best NFL team defending the pass. In Week 11, they held JACK QB B Bortles to 246 yards and only 1 TD and not many teams have done that

CHI Jay Cutler (at GB)– The Packers always seem to have “Cutler’s number.” In Week 1 they held Cutler to 225 passing yards/ 1 TD/ 1 INT. Hopefully you have better options at quarterback in Week 12

Start Em Sit Em Week 12 No Brainers- Sit Case Keenum ( vs CINN)…….SF B Gabbert vs ARI……KC A Smith vs BUFF

Running Backs Sit Em Week 12

DEN R Hillman/ CJ Anderson (vs NE)– One of the best kept secrets in the so far this season is that the Pats have moved up to the 2nd best run defense in the NFL. HC Belichick will stop the run again and force new QB B Osweiler to beat the Pats

MIA Lamar Miller (at NYJ)-  First, I think RB Miller is very worn down. He’s carried the ball a lot over the past 3 years, often carrying the Miami offense. Miller hasn’t topped 44 rushing yards since Week 7, he has to share now with RB Jay Ajayi AND….The Jets are 3rd best NFL team defending the run

SD Melvin Gordon (at JACK)– A “preseason favorite” of mine is turning out to be a bust of the “Trent Richardson” variety.A little over 3 yards a carry and ZERO TDs in 2015. The Jaguars are 9th in the NFL vs the run

Start Em Sit Em Week 12 No Brainer- Sit Shaun Draughn ( vs ARI).

Wide Receivers Sit Em Week 2

BUFF Sammy Watkins (at KC)- A “Sit Em” recommendation last week -LINK– and a good one- Watkins had only 39 receiving yards- A Sit Em again this week vs a very much improved KC pass defense. Like the Pats in Week 11, the Chiefs will take Buffalo’s #1 play maker out of this game

CINN A J Green (vs STL)–  You may not like seeing Green here, and you may have to start him, but not only is this a bad match up for him ( STL is 8th best vs the pass) but other teams have shown how to shut down Green, who only has topped 100 receiving yards in a game once since Week 3 and hasn’t had a TD pass since Week 8

OAK Amari Cooper ( at TENN)- Although Cooper will always get lots of targets, good defenses this season ( CINN/ Week 1…..DEN/ Week 5….NY JETS/ Week 8…. MINN/ Week 10 and DET/ Week 11 have shut Cooper down!)   The Titans are 4th best vs the pass

Start Em Sit Em Week 12 No Brainers- All SF 49er receivers

Tight Ends Sit Em Week 12

KC T Kelce ( vs BUFF )- Kelce has only one TD reception since Week 1 and Buffalo will make sure that streak continues

SD Ladarius Green ( at JACK )- Green has been a huge disappointment for fantasy football owners, going back to the preseason hype and one decent game in Week 1. QB P Rivers doesn’t even look in his direction anymore

Defense Sit Em Week 12

STL Defense ( at CINN)- CINN QB Andy Dalton isn’t making many mistakes.  He only has 5 INTs this entire season. The Bengals run the ball and are playing smart

BUFF Defense ( at KC )– 2 tough defenses equates to low scoring and few opportunities for both sides. KC QB Alex Smith hasn’t thrown an INT since Week 3

PITT Defense ( at SEA )– The Seahawks at home aren’t going to give away anything to the Steelers in a game they must win to keep up with Arizona

Good Luck this week and…..a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

NFL Waiver Wire Week 12

NFL Waiver Wire Week 12 2015 By Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Fantasy football owners have no more bye weeks to contend with for the rest of the season, but unfortunately many of them have injuries to key players that hurt them in Week 11. Hopefully the NFL Waiver Wire Week 12 options will help owners recover from roster hits if you had from players such as SE RB M Lynch, BALT RB J Forsett or BALT QB J Flacco to name a few. –  Good Luck this week and…..a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Quarterbacks Waiver Wire Week 12

HOU Brian Hoyer ( vs NO)- Although back up QB T J Yates had a respectable Week 11 filling in for QB Hoyer (concussion), HC Bill O’Brien confirmed Hoyer will remain the starter when he is healthy. Hoyer should be OK for the Thanksgiving weekend to take on the Saints…..who can make every quarterback in the NFL look good

DEN Brock Osweiler (vs NE)-  In relief of an injured Peyton Manning, Osweiler
completed 20-of-27 passes for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 11. Osweiler was able to lead the Broncos to a win over the Chicago Bears, but faces an extremely tough match up week 12 vs the Pats

BALT QB Matt Schaub ( at CLEV)- In Week 11 QB Joe Flacco suffered a torn ACL and will be lost for the season, which pushes QB Schaub into the starting quarterback role in Baltimore. Schaub is an experienced NFL quarterback, but must play with many other key Raven players out of the line up

CLEV Josh McCown (vs BALT) – Manziel would be my last option for a NFL Waiver Wire Week 12 quarterback anyways, but he is slated for the bench for partying ( as usual) instead of studying- QB McCown will start Week 12 and has a pretty nice match up vs BALT

Running Backs Waiver Wire Week 12

SEA Thomas Rawls (vs PITT)- Fantasy football owners were side-swiped Week 11 when RB Lynch was labeled inactive prior to the 4:25 pm ET kickoff between the Seahawks and 49ers. Now reports have him heading to a specialist for a sports hernia- Rawls filled in Week 11 with 255 total yards and 2 scores

BALT Javorius Allen (at CLEV)-  RB Justin Forsett sustained a broken arm in the game Week 11, and is lost for the 2015 season. RB Allen took over at running back and had 27 touches for 112 yards and 1 TD

IND Ahmad Bradshaw ( vs TB)- It’s clear that new QB M Hasselbeck is very comfortable playing with both IND running backs Gore and Bradshaw. In Week 11, Ahmad Bradshaw rushed 9 times for 32 yards and 4 receptions for 20 yards and two TDs in the Colts’ win over the Falcons. He’s also found the endzone 3 times in past 2 weeks

KC Spencer Ware ( vs BUFF)- Charcandrick West (hamstring) did not practicing Wednesday. Coach Andy Reid said there’s a chance West will play Sunday against the Bills, but he also has full confidence in Spencer Ware

ATL Tevin Coleman ( vs MINN)- RB Devonta Freeman sustained a concussion Week 11 and was out of the game early. RB Coleman replaced Freeman with 17 carries for only 48 yards. RB Devonta Freeman will be in “concussion protocol” and his status for Week 12 is unknown- UPDATE: RB D Freeman did not practice Wednesday

PITT Jordan Todman ( Week 11 Bye)- Atlanta RB Devonta Freeman’s concussion injury Week 11 is a reminder to fantasy football owners of the importance of getting the fantasy football handcuff on important running backs to your fantasy roster

Deep League Option- Spencer Ware KC

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Week 12

TENN Kendall Wright (vs OAK)-  Wright (knee) has been out since Week 8 but is expected back for Week 12. Prior to his injury, Wright was averaging 7+ targets since Week 3 and had 3 TD receptions on the year- available in 56% of fantasy leagues

SD Stevie Johnson/ Dontrelle Inman (at JACK)- Recommended in Utter-Fantasy’s Waiver Wire Week 10– With K Allen OUT for the season, and Malcolm Floyd ( shoulder) injury Week 9, Johnson and Inman are the wide receiver options now in SD and available in 12% and 76% of leagues right now respectively

BALT Kamar Aiken (at CLEV)- QB Joe Flacco is gone for the season (ACL) so QB Matt Schaub takes over as the starting quarterback. WR Aiken is the clear #1 wide receiver in Baltimore, and if nothing else, should see about 10 targets a week ROS

CAR Ted Ginn Jr- the NFL Waiver Wire Week 12 is buzzing with recommendations to pick up WR Devin Funchess ( I do as well below) but the guy to own is Ted Ginn Jr. 8 targets Week 10- 49 total yards and 1 TD

CHI Marquess Wilson (at GB)- Wilson has been a regular in Utter-fantasy’s Waiver Wire pick up over the past couple weeks, and a Week 11 Sleeper-LINK but is still only owned in 1% of fantasy football leagues. Week 11 6’4″ Wilson had 7 targets from QB Jay Cutler for 102 yards

CAR Devin Funchess (at DAL)- The rookie wide receiver is finally becoming a part of the Panther offense, something most of us expected when he was selected in the 2nd round of the 2015 NFL Draft. In Week 11 he saw 8 targets from QB Cam Newton, hauling in 4 of them for 64 yards and 1 TD

Sleeper Wide Receiver- ARI  J J Nelson- 5th Round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft- with WRs Michael Floyd sidelined Week 11, and John Brown less than 100%, Nelson saw an expanded role….catching 4/6 targets for 142 yards and a TD- He’ll be a sleeper IF M Floyd sits

Deep league Waiver Wire Week 12 pick upNE Chris Harper (at DEN)- Injuries to J Edleman( OUT), D Amendola (Questionable), Aaron Dobson ( Questionable), has the Patriots receiving corps scrambling for bodies. WR Keshawn Martin (hamstring)…inactive for Monday night’s Week 11 game against the Bills may also be a consideration ROS

Deep league Waiver Wire Week 12 pick up- TENN Harry Douglas (vs OAK)- The Titan’s are running out of wide receiver options!  WR Kendall Wright is inured ( did not play week 10) and WR Justin Hunter suffered a fractured ankle Week 10 against the Panthers. WR Douglas was targeted 5 times in Week 9, and 5 times in Week 11- WR Kendall Wright return does hurt Douglas’ fantasy value

Tight Ends Waiver Wire Week 12

MINN Kyle Rudolph ( at ATL)- a name that probable should already be owned by fantasy football owners, but surprisingly available in 60% of fantasy leagues. A hit of miss player so far this season but perhaps his 106 yards and 1 TD in Week 11 will remind QB Teddy Bridgewater to look for him more often

BALT Crockett Gillmore (at CLEV)- Even though QB Joe Flacco is lost for the season, a back up quarterback’s best friend is almost always the tight ends that he can dumpoff to when in trouble. In Week 11 Gillmore racked up 101 yards

Week 11 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football

Week 11 Sleepers 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

There is only 4 NFL teams on a Bye Week 10, but fantasy owners especially in deep leagues with players from ATL, SD and IND, may be scrambling for one week replacements. Here are a few Week 11 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football options

Last Week of Byes- Week 11- CLEV-NO- NYG- PITT

Quarterback Sleepers Week 11

SEA Russell Wilson ( vs SF )-

Another team playing at home vs one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL. Wilson hasn’t done much for fantasy football owners this season….perhaps he makes up for it in Week 11

JACK B Bortles (vs TENN )–

Although the Titan’s defense is one of the better teams vs the pass, Bortles has proven to be match up proof by passing for at least 2 TDs in every game since Week 4

Deep league Sleeper-Teddy Bridgewater (vs GB)–

DET QB M Stafford had a pretty good game in Week 10 at Green Bay because the Packers are not playing well. Green Bay has to be worried about RB A Peterson after his 203 rushing yards and 1 TD performance Week 10. IF GB shifts most of their attention to stopping AP, Bridgewater will have good opportunities

Running Back Sleepers Week 11

Sleeper- Darren Sproles (vs TB)-

The Eagles have mixed in RB Murray and RB Ryan Matthews all season. If RB Ryan Matthews (still in concussion protocol) sits out Week 11, Sproles role should increase significantly

TENN Dexter McClusterer ( at JACK)-

McCluster scored on the Titan’s only TD scoring drive in Week 10, with a 25 yard dash to the endzone. With the receiving corps in Tennessee banged up, McCluster is a duel threat Week 11 as a runner and receiver. The Jaguars have the 30th ranked defense

Wide Receiver Sleepers Week 11

NE Brandon LaFell ( vs BUFF)-

WR Danny Amendola was the top Week 11 Waiver Wire pick up, but fantasy football owners should not forget about Lafell, who will share in the targets that injured WR Edleman would have gotten

ATL Leonard Hankerson (vs IND)-

Before going out with an injury Week 6, Hankerson was a favorite target for QB Matt Ryan. In the first 4 games of the season, Hankerson had 17 receptions for 241 yards and2 TDs

DET Golden Tate (vs OAK)-

This match up vs the bad pass defense of Oakland is perfect for QB Stafford and WR Golden Tate to build on the success they had in Week 11 beating Green Bay

Deep PPR League Sleeper-CHI Marquess Wilson (vs DEN)–

WR Alshon Jeffery was “limited” in practice on Wednesday and can expect another questionable tag this week. I serious doubt that Wilson gets a TD reception playing the Broncos Week 11, but he should be targeted a ton and helpful to fantasy football owners in PPR leagues

Tight End Sleepers Week 11

IND C Fleener ( at ATL)-

A new quarterback’s best friend is a tight end that he can look for when he’s pressured- When QB M Hasselbeck took over in Week 4, Fleener had 9 receptions for 83 yards and 1 TD

ATL J Tamme (vs IND)-

43 targets/ 30 receptions and 1 TD from QB Matt Ryan since Week 5- The Colts are the 9th worst team at defending the tight end position. One thing that does hurt TE Tamme’s chances of a nice Week 11 Sleeper is the return of WR Leonard Hankerson

DET Eric Ebron (vs OAK)-

The Raiders have had trouble covering TEs all season, and have given up the most TDs to opposing TES…..10

Start Em Sit Em Week 11 NFL

Start Em Sit Em Week 11 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Like other fantasy prognosticators, below are my Start Em Sit Em Week 11 NFL Fantasy Football players, minus the obvious. ( No one needs to read that I think fantasy owners should start Atlanta Falcon players at home vs the Colts and their subpar defense- ) For the Record- I don’t claim to have anymore insight on the games than the fantasy league owners reading these, but I do enjoy sharing my “IMOs” on them, as well as reading yours-  Good Luck this week!

Bye Week 11- CLEV- NO- NYG- PITT

Quarterbacks Start Em Week 11

ATL Matt Ryan (vs IND) – The Colts rank near the bottom for passing defense and giving up receiving yards. The Falcons are rested from coming off their bye week and are at home in a very nice match up

DET Matt Stafford (vs OAK)–  The Lions should have some confidence after having beaten Green Bay Week 10, in Green Bay, for the first time since 1991. The Raiders are 30th vs the pass so Stafford should go off

SEA Russell Wilson ( vs SF )- Another team playing at home vs one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL. Wilson hasn’t done much for fantasy football owners this season….perhaps he makes up for it in Week 11

Deep league Option: JACK B Bortles (vs TENN )– Although the Titan’s defense is one of the better teams vs the pass, Bortles has proven to be match up proof by passing for at least 2 TDs in every game since Week 4

Start Em Sit Em Week 11 No Brainers- T Brady vs BUFF…..P Rivers vs KC

Running Backs Start Em Week 11

PHIL DeMarco Murray ( vs TB)- RB Ryan Mathews (concussion) was not spotted on the practice field Tuesday, and he might not be cleared to play this week. If that is the case, Murray’s carries and goal line opportunities should go way up

CAR Jonathon Stewart ( vs WASH )– Washington is far better defending the pass, than they are defending the run. This is a great week for the Panthers to give RB Stewart 20+ carries

DAL Darren McFadden (vs MIA)- QB Tony Romo is due back this week, and he will likely be a bit rusty, so handing off to RB McFadden a ton, makes a ton of sense especially against a bad Miami run defense

NYJ Chris Ivory (at HOU)- The Jets face another team that is is far better defending the pass, than they are defending the run. QB R Fitzptrick had surgery on his hand but coach Todd Bowles is optimistic he’ll start against the Texans. Even if he starts, the Jets probably won’t ask him to pass a lot

Sleeper- Darren Sproles (vs TB)- The Eagles have mixed in RB Murray and RB Ryan Matthews all season. If RB Ryan Matthews (concussion) sits out Week 11, Sproles role should increase significantly

Start Em Sit Em Week 11 No Brainers- Charcandrick West at SD…..M Lynch vs SF…….AP vs GB

Wide Receivers Start Em Week 11

SD Steve Johnson ( vs KC )- The Chiefs pass defense looked good Week 10 but that is because they were playing against an injured Peyton Manning. The Chiefs pass defense won’t look good vs QB P Rivers

NE Danny Amendola ( vs BUFF)- The Pats lost WR J Edleman ( broken foot) for at least the rest of the regular season, but WR Amendola is very quite capable of handling the top spot

GB Davante Adams (at MINN)- Adams was targeted a whopping 21 times in Week 10 by QB Aaron Rodgers. This week the Packers play the #1 team in their division….the Vikings. It’s a critical game for the Packers to win, so expect 30-40 passes by QB Rodgers in this one

TENN Harry Douglas– Injuries to WRs K Wight and J Hunter has thrusted WR Douglas into the #1 WR spot in TENN. The Titans face the Jaquar’s #23 worst pass defense

Sleeper- ATL Leonard Hankerson (vs IND)- Before going out with an injury Week 6, Hankerson was a favorite target for QB Matt Ryan. In the first 4 games of the season, Hankerson had 17 receptions for 241 yards and 2 TDs

Sleeper- DET Golden Tate (vs OAK)-This match up vs the bad pass defense of Oakland is perfect for QB Stafford and WR Golden Tate to build on the success they had in Week 11 beating Green Bay

Tight Ends Start Em Week 11

WASH Jordan Reed (vs CAR)- 24 targets from Q K Cousins in the past 3 games along with 5 TDs. 39 yard sand 2 TDs Week 10 vs NO

ATL J Tamme (vs IND)- 43 targets/ 30 receptions and 1 TD from QB Matt Ryan since Week 5- The Colts are the 9th worst team at defending the tight end position

DAL J Witten ( at MIA)- Before QB Tony Romo was injured in Week 2, Witten had 17 targets/ 116 yards and 2 TDs. After QB Tony Romo was injured in Week 2……..329 yards and 0 TDs

Sleeper- IND C Fleener- A new quarterback’s best friend is a tight end that he can look for when he’s pressured- When QB M Hasselbeck took over in Week 4, Fleener had 9 receptions for 83 yards and 1 TD

Sleeper- DET Eric Ebron (vs OAK)- The Raiders have had trouble covering TEs all season, and have given up the most TDs to opposing TES…..10

Start Em Sit Em Week 11 No Brainer- G Olsen (vs WASH)

What teams are good/bad defending opposing TEs? Here’s a great link w/ informative stats- LINK

Defense Start Em Week 11

ARI (vs CINN )- The Houston Texans completely shut down the Bengal offense in Week 10, holding them to only 2 field goals, I expect the Cardinals to do the same

MINN (vs GB)– If a bad Lion’s defense and keep the Packers in check in Lambeau, a better Viking’s defense ought to be able to in Minnesota

Sleeper BALT (vs STL) The Rams HC J Fisher is not happy with QB Nick Foles, so he announced thatQB Case Keenum was the new starter. The Ravens won’t make it easy on him

HERE’S A GREAT LINK TO ANALYZE DEFENSES- LINK

Quarterbacks Sit Em Week 11

BUFF Tyrod Taylor (at NE )- HC Bill Belichick and the Pats are great at shutting down the star players on opposing teams. Since Buffalo hasn’t many star players, this shouldn’t be close

TB J Winston ( at PHIL)- This is going to be a tough for the rookie quarterback, going to Philadelphia and playing against the 10th best defense in the NFL

TENN M Mariota (at JACK)– The Jaguars do not have a great defense, but the Titans have lost WRs K Wright and WR J Hunter. Mariota’s just doesn’t have a lot of passing options

Start Em Sit Em Week 11 No Brainers- Sit Case Keenum ( vs BALT)….HOU B Hoyer/TJ Yates vs NYJ….SF B Gabbert at SEA

Running Backs Sit Em Week 11

HOU Alfred Blue (at NYJ)– RB Blue is barely averaging 3 yards a carry this season, and has only 1 TD run. It doesn’t get easier in Week 11 vs the Jets

WASH M Jones/ A Morris (at CAR)-  These guys looked good Week 10 vs the Saints, but the Panthers defense doesn’t stink the #32 ranked Saint’s defense does ( i.e. DEF coordinator Rob Ryan fired)

JACJ TJ Yeldon( vs TENN)–  The Titan’s run defense isn’t impressive, but RB Yeldon impresses me even less

CINN Jeremy Hill ( at ARI)- Hill hasn’t had a rushing TD since Week 4, and faces the 4th best NFL team defending the run in the Arizona Cardinals

Start Em Sit Em Week 11 No Brainer- Sit Shaun Draughn ( at SEA).

Wide Receivers Sit Em Week 11

BALT Kamar Aiken (vs STL)–  Aiken had a nice match up in Week 10 at home vs the Jaguars and only had 73 yards on 14 targets. ST L will make it even less in Week 11

ALL SF WRs (at SEA)- QB Blaine Gabbert is starting, in Seattle, against the Seahawks who are #2 vs the pass

WASH P Garcon/ DeSean Jackson ( vs CAR)- This will likely be a defensive battle and a very low scoring game

BUFF Sammy Watkins (at NE )- The Pats will take Buffalo’s #1 play maker out of this game

Tight Ends Sit Em Week 11

CINN T Eifert ( at ARI)- Not the best week to start the star tight end. Houston shut him down Week 10, and Arizona is the 4th best NFL team defending the TE position

DEN Owen Daniels ( at CHI )- 1st…..I don’t even know if new QB Brock Osweiler has any chemistry with TE Daniels and 2nd….the Bears are 3rd best at stopping opposing tight ends

MIA Jordan Cameron ( vs DAL)- Only 21 receptions this entire season. ( Think he wishes that he was back in CLEV?) …The Cowboys are 8th best best at defending the TE position

Defense Sit Em Week 11

MIA Defense ( vs DAL)- QB Tony Romo should energize this Cowboy offense and the Dolphins will struggle to slow them down

BUFF Defense ( at NE )– The Patriots and QB Tom Brady, despite lossing some key offensive players, are playing at too high a level for Buffalo right now

IND Defense ( at ATL )– The Falcon’s are fresh off a bye week, and fired up playing at home vs the Colts

NFL Waiver Wire Week 11

NFL Waiver Wire Week 11 2015 By Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Only 1 more week of Byes to contend with in Week 11. With 4 teams off, some of your Waiver Wire Week 11 fill ins for fantasy football may be players dropped last week, particularly with the QBs that were off and injured before the bye.

Bye Teams Week 10:  CLEV- NO- NYG- PITT

Quarterbacks Waiver Wire Week 11

DAL Tony Romo ( at MIA)- According to owner Jerry Jones, “no set of circumstances” would prevent Tony Romo from playing Week 11 against the Dolphins. Romo is a must add now for fantasy football and is available in 45% of Yahoo leagues

IND Matt Hasselbeck ( at ATL)- Andrew Luck has been diagnosed with a lacerated kidney, and will be sidelined 2-6 weeks. (The Colts had a Week 10 Bye) Hasselbeck played solidly as a starter Weeks 4 & 5, and proved that he’s worthy of a Waiver Wire Week 11 pick up

DEN Brock Osweiler (at CHI)-  In relief of an ineffective Peyton Manning, Brock Osweiler completed 14-of-24 passes for 146 yards, one touchdown and an interception in Denver’s 29-13, Week 10 loss to the Chiefs. DEN QB Peyton Manning has a torn plantar fascia in his right foot and could require surgery. Updates later this week

PHIL Mark Sanchez (vs TB) – PHIL QB Sam Bradford suffered a grade II AC joint sprain in his non-throwing shoulder. Bradford also suffered a concussion putting QB Mark Sanchez likely under center for Week 11

Running Backs Waiver Wire Week 11

NE James White (vs BUFF)- RB Dion Lewis OUT for the Season (ACL) so someone has to fill in. Week 10 White played in 28 snaps vs RB B Bolden’s 10 snaps. White should be the primary third-down back moving forward and a decent Waiver Wire Week 11 pick up

MIA Jay Ajayi (vs DAL)-  Ajayi rushed 6 times for 48 yards in Miami’s Week 10 win over the Eagles. The 5th round 2015 Draft pick was out-touched 22-6 by Lamar Miller, but actually out-gained Miller 48-43 on the ground. Only owned in 1% fantasy football Yahoo leagues

BUFF Karlos Williams (at NE)- Back from concussion protocol, Williams only had 8 touches Week 10 vs the Jets, but should see more ROS, depending on the match up. Tough one Week 11 at New England

ARI Andre Ellington (vs CINN)- Ellington ended Week 10 with pretty fantasy numbers thanks to a “game-icing” 48 yard TD run with only 4 minutes left in the 4th qtr eek 10- He is more of a stash and handoff for RB Chris Johnson

PITT Jordan Todman ( Week 11 Bye)- RB DeAngelo Williams Williams (foot) isnt 100% but should be ready for Sunday’s game against the Browns. Steeler running backs always have a good game, so getting Williams fantasy football handcuff not for just this week but for ROS is a good idea

Deeper League Options- SF Shaun Draughn (at SEA)– The 49ers are apparently rolling with RB Draughn (16 carries Week 9) and RB C Hyde’s injury is serious enough that his season is in jeopardy. SF had a Week 10 Bye

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Week 11

NE Danny Amendola (vs BUFF)- Utter-Fantasy’s top Waiver Wire Week 11 pick up due to the season ending injury to WR J Edleman (broken foot). WR Amendola is only owned in 13% of Yahoo leagues

SD Stevie Johnson (vs KC)- Recommended in Utter-Fantasy’s Waiver Wire Week 10– With K Allen OUT for the season, and Malcolm Floyd ( shoulder) injury Week 9, Johnson is the #1 WR in SD and available in 27% of league right now. San Diego had a Week 10 Bye

BALT Kamar Aiken (vs STL)- Recommended in Utter-Fantasy’s Waiver Wire Week 10– WR Steve Smith’s season ending injury Week 8 puts WR Aiken into the #1 WR spot in BALT. Week 10 WR Kamar Aiken had 14 targets from QB Joe Flacco, hauling 7 for 73 yards. Still only owned in 6% yahoo leagues

NE Brandon LaFell- LaFell caught 2-of-6 targets for 66 yards in the Patriots’ Week 10 win over the Giants. Wr J Edleman’s season ending injury will give Lafell more opportunities

TENN Harry Douglas (at JACK)- The Titan’s are running out of wide receiver options!  WR Kendall Wright is inured ( did not play week 10) and WR Justin Hunter suffered a fractured ankle Week 10 against the Panthers. WR Douglas was targeted 5 times Week 9, and 3 times Week 10

SD Dontrelle Inman ( vs KC)- With WR K Allen OUT for the season, and WR Malcolm Floyd’s(torn labrum) season in doubt, Inman makes for an interesting pick up for the rest of season in the Charger’s high scoring offense

BALT Chris Givens (vs STL)- The Ravens’ has a new deep threat in WR Givens, who saw 7 targets Week 10, 2nd-most on the team. He finished Week 10 with 4 catches/ 37 yards and a touchdown

Deep league Waiver Wire Week 11 pick up- CAR D Funchess ( vs WASH)- Has this rookie finally decided to show up for the 2015 NFL season? 3-of-4 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in Carolina’s Week 9 but only 2 catches for 41 yards Week 10. Funchess is a Hit or Miss player

Tight Ends Waiver Wire Week 11

WASH Jordan Reed (at CAR)– Recommended in Utter-Fantasy’s Waiver Wire Week 10- QB K Cousins has always looked for his TEs, and Reed has paid off huge for Washington and for fantasy owners over the past 3 games- 24 targets/ 119 yards and 5 TD receptions

ATL Jacob Tamme (vs IND)- 22 targets and 1 TD reception past 2 games. Although WR Leonard Hankerson (hamstring) is due back Week 11, QB M Ryan has shown confidence in Tamme and ATL has needed a Te target since TE Tony G retired

BALT Crockett Gillmore (vs STL)- QB Joe Flacco has always liked throwing to tight ends, especially in the red zone. which he proved Week 10 by hitting both TEs Gillmore and Maxx Williams for TD strikes

Week 10 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football

Week 10 Sleepers 2015 by Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

There is only 4 NFL teams on a Bye Week 10, but fantasy owners especially in deep leagues with players from ATL, SD and IND, may be scrambling for one week replacements. Here are a few Week 10 Sleepers NFL Fantasy Football options

Bye Week 10- ATL- IND- SD- SF

Quarterback Sleepers Week 10

WASH Kirk Cousins ( vs N.O. )-

This is match up Capt. Kirk has been waiting for. If you can’t put up nice stats at home vs the leagues WORST passing DEF, then you don’t belong in the NFL. I hope the Academy recognizes Rob Ryan in February for the best performance of acting like a DEF Coordinator

PITT Landry Jones (vs CLEV )–

If you are missing ATL QB M Ryan, SD Rivers  or IND A Luck, you could do worst than L Jones. He’s only thrown 2 picks in the 3 games that he’s played in, he has the best WR in the game and is playing CLEV

Running Back Sleepers Week 10

WASH Matt Jones (vs N.O.)-

Jones had 11 carries Week 9 vs RB A Morris’ 4 carries. Jones did fumble in the 3rd qtr Week 9, but WASH can ill-afford to punish the more talented RB for it, because the NFC East Division is anyone’s to win

MIA Jay Ajayi (at PHIL)-

Interim HC Dan Campbell said rookie RB Jay Ajayi has “earned more carries” after his impressive Week 9 debut against the Bills, 5 rushes for 41 yards

OAK Roy Helu (vs MINN)-

This is only in the event that RB Latavius Murray misses Week 10 due to “concussion protocol”. Murray did not practice Wednesday and his status for Week 10 is questionable

Wide Receiver Sleepers Week 10

BALT Kamar Aiken (vs JACK)-

WR Steve Smith’s season ending injury Week 8 puts WR Aiken into the #1 WR spot in BALT. Off Week 9 on a Bye Week. Don’t forget about him for fantasy football, this #1 WR in BALT is only owned in 4% of Yahoo Leagues

HOU Nate Washington (at CINN)-

QB B Hoyer is going to have throw a ton to keep up with the high scoring CINN offense. In the 2 games Washington played before the Week 9 HOU Bye, he had 201 yards a 3 TDs. Even w/ WR Cecil Shorts returning soon, Washington is sure-handed and QB B Hoyer likes throwing to him

DAL Cole Beasley (vs TB)–

TE Jason Witten was QB Romo’s safety valve, and WR Beasley is QB Cassel’s. 9 catches/ 112 yards and 2 TDs Week 9

CAR D Funchess ( at TENN)-

Has this rookie finally decided to show up for the 2015 NFL season? 3-of-4 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in Carolina’s Week 9 win over the Packers is a nice sign that he may have but not a guarantee ( he’s had 6 other games where he has done nothing)

Deeper Leagues- CHI Marquess Wilson (at STL)–

Wilson got the start Week 9 as the No. 2 receiver in place of an injured Eddie Royal (knee) and will again Week 10 but faces a tough STL Defense Week 10

Deeper Leagues- JACK Bryan Walters (at

BALT)– It could be close to game time before we know if WR A Hurns (foot) is able to play Week 10. IF he can’t,  wide receiver sleeper Bryan Walters secured five of seven targets for 54 yards and 1 TD in Week 9

Tight End Sleepers Week 10

GB Richard Rodgers ( vs DET)-

9 targets/ 19 yards and 2 TDs Week 9

DET Eric Ebron (at GB)-

Week 7 Ebron was targeted 5 times for 89 yards and 1 TD reception. The Packers are near the bottom at defending opposing TEs
