NFL Waiver Wire Week 13

NFL Waiver Wire Week 13

NFL Waiver Wire Week 13 2015 By Utter-Fantasy Writer & Illustrator Doug Bowles

Fantasy football owners have no more bye weeks to contend with for the rest of the season, but unfortunately many of them have injuries to key players that hurt them in Week 12. Hopefully the NFL Waiver Wire Week 13 options will help owners recover from roster hits if you had from players such as SEA TE Jimmy Graham, IND RB Ahmad Bradshaw or JACK WR Allen Hurns to name a few –  Good Luck this week

Quarterbacks Waiver Wire Week 13

DEN Brock Osweiler (at SD)-  As long as QB Osweiler keeps winning ( albeit with a lot of help from NFL officials), QB P Manning can stay on the sidelines and heal some more. QB Osweiler has a tasty match up Week 13 at San Diego and is a nice NFL Waiver Wire Week 13 option

IND Matt Hasselbeck ( at PITT)- QB Andrew Luck isn’t due back until mid- December, and the Colts are winning without him anyways. Hasselbeck doesn’t put up big stats,( Week 12 ….11-of-17 for 191 yards and a touchdown) but he doesn’t kill you with interceptions either….only 2 in the past 4 games

DAL QB Matt Cassel ( at WASH )- QB Tony Romo may have come back too early, breaking his collar bone once again in the same place as earlier this season. Romo is OUT for the year and Cassel once again has the staring job

Running Backs Waiver Wire Week 13

ARI David Johnson (at STL )- Injuries to RB Chris Johnson and A Ellington gave David Johnson more playing time Week 12, where he rushed 8 times for 21 yards and had a touchdown. He also caught 2-of-4 targets for 8 yards against the 49ers. If Ellington and Chris Johnson are forced to sit Week 13, David Johnson will start

IND Dan Herron ( at PITT )- Another season ending injury to RB Ahmad Bradshaw puts RB Dan Herron into the Indy offense again. Herron reunites with the Colts, where he’s played before and he knows the offensive system. With RB Gore wearing down and averaging only 3.5 YPC in four straight games, Herron could be a very interesting add rest of season

NE Brandon Bolden (vs PHIL)-  It makes sense that with all the injuries to the Pat’s roster, that others are asked to step up and contribute. In Week 12 TE Scott Chandler had a bigger role, and RB Bolden Brandon Bolden had 4 carries for 11 yards and caught 4 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown

SF Shaun Draughn ( at CHI)- In Week 12 Draughn played 56-of-56 snaps in avery tough match up against the Cardinals. He ended the day with a respectable 20 touches for 86 total yards. If RB C Hyde (foot) doesn’t return to action, Draughn has a more favorable match up week 13

HANDCUFF PITT Jordan Todman ( Week 11 Bye)- Atlanta RB Devonta Freeman’s concussion injury Week 11 is a reminder to fantasy football owners of the importance of getting the fantasy football handcuff on important running backs to your fantasy roster

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Week 13

SEA Doug Baldwin (at MINN )-  A season ending injury to TE Jimmy Graham (torn right patellar tendon) gave more targets to WR Doug Baldwin who capitalized big time on them. 6/8 targets for 145 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Seahawk’s Week 12 win over the Steelers. Baldwin is Utter-Fantasy’s #1 WR NFL Waiver Wire Week 13 option

IND Donte Moncrief ( at PITT)- Moncrief 17 targets from Hasslebeck in 2 games- easier to pass on PITT than run on them

MIA DeVante Parker ( vs BALT)- WR Rishard Matthews suffered “multiple fractured ribs” in the Dolphins’ Week 12 loss to the Jets,The Dolphins now figure to turn to first-round pick DeVante Parker as a starter down the stretch of their lost season

HOU Cecil Shorts- (at BUFF )- What’s interesting is the different ways that Houston is trying to get Shorts the ball. In Week 12, Cecil Shorts caught 3/4 targets for 18 yards and a touchdown, then added three rushes for 20 yards. Tough match up Week 13 however

PITT Markus Wheaton ( vs IND)- Like the Steelers, it’s easier to pass on Seattle than it is to run on them, which Pittsburgh did Week 12. SEA QB R Wilson had a big day passing, as did QB Roethlisberger. Has WR Wheaton suddenly emerged as a viable fantasy option? Probably not anymore consistently, than he has been in previous weeks, but if the match up is right, he’s worth a roster spot. Wheaton is only owned in 5% of yahoo leagues

Deep league Waiver Wire Week 13 pick up- TENN Harry Douglas (vs JACK)- A Waiver Wire Recommendation Week 12–  and produced with with a fairly respectable week, having 29 receiving yards and 1 TD reception

Deep league Waiver Wire Week 13 pick up- JACK Bryan Walters- Depending how WR Allen Hurns (concussion) responds this week, Walters may be asked to start opposite Allen Robinson week 13. In week 12, Walters out-played back up disappointment Marqise Lee, by catching 2/3 targets for 35 yards in Jacksonville’s Week 11 win over the Titans

Tight Ends Waiver Wire Week 13

NE Scott Chandler ( vs PHIL )- A “Sleeper recommendation Week 12-  Chandler’s role was bigger due to the injuries to NE’s receiving corps. TE Gronk may have avoided a season ending injury to his knee, but Chandler was a nice part of the Pat’s offense before Gronk’s injury and Gronk may have to heal for a week

SEA Luke Willson (at MINN)- The Seahawks are without TE Jimmy Graham (knee) OUT for the season, but that doesn’t mean they are without a good tight end. In 2014, Willson had 362 receiving yards and 3 TD receptions

JACK Julius Thomas (at TENN )- TE Thomas ( only owned in 52% of fantasy football leagues) may have been dropped by fantasy owners leading up to Week 12 due to a lack of production. Thomas only had one week over 28 receiving yards prior to Week 12. With WR Allen Hurns injury (concussion), Thomas will likely be asked to do even more Week 13. In Week 12 he had 9 catches for 116 yards and one touchdown
