SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE QUICK HITS
NYG WR Decker is expected to have an MRI this week to determine the severity of the injury. Decker did not practice on Wednesday and wasn't spotted at the field, an indication the injury could be serious.
NYG RB Rashad Jennings (thumb) is unlikely to play Week 4 against the Vikings. NYG RB Orleans Darkwa should get the start against Minnesota with RB Bobby Rainey getting 3rd down work
NFL Network reports that it may be a "long-shot" DAL WR Dez Bryant (knee) to play in Week 4. DAL WR Cole Beasley should see a ton of targets with Bryant sidelined, and DAL WR Brice Butler is an interesting sleeper
Seahawks signed RB C.J. Spiller to a one-year contract.
Do not waste a roster spot on Spiller in almost any format
Back From Suspensions-
PITT RB Le Bell Week 4
NE QB T Brady Week 5
CLEV WR Josh Gordon Week 5
GB RB Eddie Lacy- Slow start with zero TDs. On a bye, fantasy football owners will be sick of starting/ holding him.
Buy low! Great schedule coming up!
KC WR Jeremy Maclin- Pittsburgh Week 4, followed by a Week 5 Bye. Scoop him up because after that starting in Week 6, OAK-NO-IND-JACK....!!!!)
OAK Latavius Murray- The touchdowns are there, but the yardage IS NOT! ( 28 total yards in Week 3.) Oakland's tough schedule and poor defense may never allow the Raiders to get a big lead and lean on Murray to carry the ball 20+ times in a game. ( averaging only 10 carries a game)
SEA HC Pete Carroll said RB Thomas Rawls (fibula) will miss multiple weeks. RB Christine Michael is officially the starter
PHIL QB C Wentz broke Tom Brady’s rookie record: Most passes without an INT to start an NFL career (83). Wentzylvania made a nice selection.
CHI RB Jeremy Langford suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter. He was carted to the locker room for further evaluation, and was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game. RB J Howard a must own now
SEA QB Russell Wilson came into Week 3 with a banged up right ankle, and he suffered an additional sprained left knee. We'll know more soon, but he'll likely play again Week 4
PITT WR Eli Rogers had two catches for 32 yards on Sunday before the team ruled him out for the remainder of the game because of a toe injury
GB TE Jared Cook injured his right ankle in the 2nd qtr of Week 3. The team ruled him out for the remainder of the game. TE R Rodgers caught a TD Pass in this game
MINN RB Matt Asiata ( at CAR) has been announced as the Vikings' Week 3 starter at running back. Both Asiata/ McKinnon will split carries w/ Asiata at the goal line. Tough match up
JACK RB Chris Ivory (illness) is active for Week 3 against the Ravens. Don't expect a lot from him Week 3
The OAK Defense is currently ranked LAST in the NFL....
#32 against the pass.......#28 against the run
TENN TE Delanie Walker (hamstring, questionable) will warm up early to see if he can play against the Raiders in Week 3
Sleeper- ATL J Tamme ( at NO)- 16 targets over the past 2 weeks. In what "should" be a shoot out, high scoring game...Tamme could serve fantasy football owners very nicely.
NYG RB Shane Vereen is expected to draw the start with Rashad Jennings (thumb) sidelined for Week 3 against the Redskins.
Sleeper WR MIA Kenny Stills ( vs CLEV)- The Browns won’t be able to put up much of a fight in Week 3, so the Dolphins can pour it on until they get tired! WR J Landry is a PPR machine, but Stills has been who QB Tannehill has looked for in the endzone. Only owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues.
Sleeper MIA JB ay Ajayi ( vs CLEV)- I have not been big on Ajayi anytime in 2016, but we know RB Arian Foster (groin) has been ruled out for Week 3 versus Cleveland, so Ajayi should get lots of opportunities Week 3 at home vs Cleveland. This is his time to shine. A starting running back only owned in 38% of Yahoo leagues.
Sleeper SD TE Hunter Henry ( at IND) –will start in Week 3. TE A Gates (doubtful, hamstring) sidelined-WR K Allen out.
Sleeper: LA Rams Defense– Rams should try to capitalize on gun-shy QB J Winston’s horrific 4 INTs in Week 2, and he is without RB Doug Martin.
HOU QB Brock Osweiler completed 24/41 passes for 196 yards, 0 TDs 1 INT in Houston's 27-0, Week 3 road loss to the Patriots. Despite the horrendous night, Osweiler is still learning with a brand new team and will get better as the season goes on. ( new DEN QB T Siemian has been less scrutinized w/ only 1 TD- 3 INTS and averaging only 200 yds a game over 2 games)
GB HC Mike McCarthy and the rest of the Packers' coaching staff said they want to get GB RB Eddie Lacy more carries moving forward. We've heard this before, but hopefully they will!
TB TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins was arrested and charged with DUI Friday morning. TE Brate is better anyways and Brate doesn't prefer sitting the sidelines w/ a variety of injuries like ASJ always has
Do the Pats finally have a running back we can trust (and will we be able to trust him when QB Brady gets back?) NE RB LeGarrette Blount rushed 24 times for 105 yards and two TDs in Thursday game Week 3
CLEV QB Josh McCown apparently suffered a broken left collarbone in Week 2. ( an injury that is likely to have him out two months. Tony Romo missed nine weeks with a similar injury last season)
GB TE Jared Cook- An interesting start option Week 3, facing the Detroit Lions who are currently the worst in the NFL vs the TE position.
SD TE Antonio Gates (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday. Probably not a good idea to start Gates Week 3
Chiefs HC Andy Reid said "another week is going to help" RB Jamaal Charles' (knee) shot at playing Week 3 is unlikely
Never ends with this idiot.....The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports suspended WR Josh Gordon has a warrant our for his arrest after he failed to respond to subpoenas in a paternity case

TB RB Charles Sims and RB Jacquizz Rodgers are expect to "split the duties" in the Bucs' backfield with Doug Martin (hamstring) out
The Vikings will likely play without RB Adrian Peterson (knee) in Week 3 against the Panthers. It's a tough match up for any Viking running back

MINN HC Mike Zimmer said Adrian Peterson's knee injury Week 2 might force AP to miss Week 3
DET RB Ameer Abdullah's injured foot came back negative, but Abdullah likely will miss some time. RBs Theo Riddick and rookie Dwayne Washington should carry the load
ATL WR Julio Jones (leg) is "expected to be fine" despite missing the final drive of Atlanta's Week 2 win over Oakland
the Chiefs likely won't have RB Jamaal Charles (knee) for Week 2. JC is expected to make his season debut against the Jets in Week 3
Utter-Fantasy WR Sleeper again-
PITT WR Eli Rogers should have an "expanded role" vs CINN in Week 2.
Rogers is coming off a nice Week 1 vs Washington
(6 catches, 59 yards- 1 TD)
DEN QB Trevor Siemian- completed 18/26 passes for 178 yards, 1 touchdown in Week 1, but faces a really beat up Colts defense..without 3 starting DBs in Week 2.
If you had MINN QB Teddy Bridgewater or RG3 ( or have Cutler)…Siemian might not be a bad replacement Week 2.
Start ATL M Sanu ( at OAK)- The Raiders will put up lots of points in this one, so QB M Ryan will have to throw it 30-40 times. Sanu had an impressive TD reception in Week 1
PHIL TE Z Ertz- It’s never good news when the team announces that Zach Ertz (ribs) could miss an “extended period”
TB WR Vincent Jackson- He was barely an option a year ago ( #65 Wr for 2015…only 3 TDs). He hasn’t gotten younger, he’s gotten even older. Tampa Bay at Arizona Week 2
IND WR TY Hilton- Faced Detroit Week 1, and faces Denver in Week 2, but then…..San Diego, Jacksonville, Chicago, Houston and Tennessee. ( WR Moncrief is the threat to steal TD receptions)
NO WR Michael Thomas- The heralded rookie will take a back seat to WRs Cooks and Snead ( and eventually TE Fleener) all year
CLEV WR Corey Coleman- Bad situation to begin with, QB Robert Griffin now out, 2 receptions in Week 1, WR Josh Gordon due back- not looking good
IND CB Patrick Robinson (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 2 against the Broncos
SD Danny Woodhead (vs JACK) – Fantasy football owners of Woodhead should be licking their chops at this match up.
CLEV RB Duke Johnson- Too many fantasy football owners drafted RB Johnson “before’ RB Isaiah Crowell. Duke is more suited as a 3rd down receiving back, and that’s not what most fantasy football owners drafted him for
BUFF WR Sammy Watkins- He says his foot is “fine after all” …….don’t believe it.
NYJ Brandon Marshall- Only 3/8 targets for 32 yards and 0 TDs in the Jets’ Week 1 loss to Cincinnati. If this scared any fantasy football owner into wanting to trade him “away”….jump on it!
NYG Eli Manning (vs N.O.) – QB start of the week. Manning has lots of weapons, and plays at home vs one of the worst defenses ( still) in the NFL
SF RB Carlos Hyde rushed 23 times for 88 yards and 2 TDS in the 49ers' 28-0, Week 1 win over the Rams on Monday night. Tougher schedule next week traveling to Carolina.
NO CB Delvin Breaux (broken leg) will miss about six weeks after undergoing surgery Monday morning. The Saints very bad defense...just got worst
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said QB Russell Wilson's ankle injury is "nothing very serious." This is probably not entirely true, but also doubtful Russell misses Week 2
BUFF WR Sammy Watkins (foot) "could be shut down for several weeks" because of "severe discomfort" in his surgically-repaired foot. UPDATE: Sammy Watkins said he got his foot "checked out," and that it's "fine."....(we'll see)

PITT WR Markus Wheaton (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Redskins. WR Eli Rogers is a PPR sleeper, having jumped into the starting line up
NFL Network reports N.O. WR Michael Thomas (ankle) will play Week 1 against the Raiders. Playing very little time with QB D Brees in the preseason, and still not 100%, Thomas is a Sit Em candidate for Week 1
It looks like we might finally get to see this guy play in a regular season game! CHI WR Kevin White (hamstring, questionable) reportedly will be active for Week 1 against the Texans
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports KC RB Jamaal Charles (knee, doubtful) is out for Week 1 against the Chargers

The NFL and its referees have some explaining to do after Cam Newton’s head was used as a piñata by the Broncos’ ferocious pass rush in the league’s opener on Thursday night. The 2 questions surrounding the Panthers quarterback: Why were there not more penalties called for blatant head shots? And why was he allowed to stay in the game?
Something you likely already know but....the Ravens going with running back by committee in quest to improve ground game. Forsett, Allen, West and Dixon should all get touches

CINN TE Tyler Eifert (back) is doubtful for Week 13 against the Browns
GB RB Eddie Lacy rushed only 5 times for 4 yards in Green Bay's Week 13 win over the Lions.
Coach Mike McCarthy made it clear early on that Lacy was in the doghouse, but we don't know why yet- perhaps he showed a lack of competitiveness in practice
ATL RB Devonta Freeman (concussion) practiced in "full" this week and will resume his role as lead back for the Falcons. RB Tevin Coleman will get a handful of carries spelling Freeman, but doubtful it he gets anything close to half

UPDATE: ARI RB Chris Johnson - expected to miss six-to-eight weeks with a fractured tibia
Week 13 Waiver Wire: NE Scott Chandler A “Sleeper recommendation Week 12- Chandler’s role was bigger due to the injuries to NE’s receiving corps. ARI WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) practiced again on Friday and is expected to start Week 12 at SF

Sit MIA Lamar Miller (at NYJ)- RB Miller is very worn down. He's carried the ball a lot over the past 3 years, often carrying the Miami offense. Miller hasn't topped 44 rushing yards since Week 7, he has to share now with RB Jay Ajayi AND....The Jets are 3rd best NFL team defending the run

Reports out of Foxboro have NE WR Danny Amendola (knee) missing only one game but this is New England and Belichick....who never gives out information. It could easily be longer
SEA RB Marshawn Lynch is OUT for 4-5 weeks and is shooting for a return in Late December. For most fantasy football owners, fantasy league playoffs are over by the time he expects to return, so unless you are in Dynasty League....Lynch should be dropped. ( So much for being “on the positive side of questionable.” Pete Carroll)
CHI RB Forte is expected to be active on Thanksgiving evening in the Thanksgiving day at Green Bay, but keep expectations low. He will be eased into the line up and RB J Langford could have the lion's share for Week 12
GB Eddie Lacy had his best production in a long while Week 11, but HC McCarthy says he'll remain committed to featuring both Lacy and James Starks. Lacy seems quite motivated of late and should out-perfom Starks
NE WR Danny Amendola is getting an MRI today and the hope obviously is that the injury is not serious

Who's going to catch the ball in Chicago???
WR Alshon Jeffery (groin, shoulder) did not practice Thursday or Friday, and will likely miss Week11. If he does, Marquess Wilson would be the No. 1 receiver. Eddie Royal is still OUT and Shea McClellin (knee) /Pernell McPhee (knee) are both questionable
ARI WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) did not practice Friday and he hasn't practiced since tweaking his hamstring late in Sunday's win against the Seahawks
CAR WR Philly Brown is doubtful after injuring his shoulder in Thursday’s practice. Devin Funchess will start and has been a dependable option for Cam Newton of late
The 49ers plan to start RB Shaun Draughn in Week 11 at Seattle. Week 9, RB Draughn had 20 touches for almost 100 total yards against Atlanta. He won't have that much success at Seattle
SD WR Malcom Floyd (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 11 against the Chiefs. Dontrelle Inman will take over as San Diego's No. 2 wideout behind Stevie Johnson
Sleeper- PHIL RB Darren Sproles (vs TB)-
The Eagles have mixed in RB Murray and RB Ryan Matthews all season. If RB Ryan Matthews out Week 11) Sproles will have a significant role
Start Em- SEA QB Russell Wilson ( vs SF )- Another team playing at home vs one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL. Wilson hasn’t done much for fantasy football owners this season….perhaps he makes up for it in Week 11
Sit Em- BUFF WR Sammy Watkins (at NE )- HC Belichick and the Pats will take Buffalo’s #1 play maker out of this game...it's what they do
Sleeper- RB TENN Dexter McClusterer ( at JACK) McCluster scored on the Titan’s only TD scoring drive in Week 10, with a 25 yard dash to the endzone. With the receiving corps in Tennessee banged up, McCluster is a duel threat Week 11 as a runner and receiver. The Jaguars have the 30th ranked defense
Sleeper-TE IND C Fleener ( at ATL)-A new quarterback’s best friend is a tight end that he can look for when he’s pressured- When QB M Hasselbeck took over in Week 4, Fleener had 9 receptions for 83 yards and 1 TD
Sleeper- RB Darren Sproles (vs TB)-
The Eagles have mixed in RB Murray and RB Ryan Matthews all season. If RB Ryan Matthews (still in concussion protocol) sits out Week 11, Sproles role should increase significantly

( WR R Cobb- 10 times..WR J Jones- 2 times )
NFL Teams the Best at defending the TE position in 2015

NE WR Julian Edelman will have surgery to repair the broken bone in his foot Monday.
If DEN WR Emmanuel Sanders does sit out Week 10, WRs
Andre Caldwell and Jordan Norwood will have roles in the Denver offense this week. Both however would be very risky to start for fantasy owners, even with the tasty match up vs KC
DEN WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is being listed as a game-time decision, for the afternoon game vs KC. Fantasy owners shouldn't risk starting Sanders in the event that he does sit
SEA RB Marshawn Lynch is very questionable Sunday night vs the Cardinals. Even if he does play, expect a split between Lynch and RB Thomas Rawls
Most fully expect ARI WR John Brown to play Week 10, although the match up (at SEA) is not a favorable one for any of the Arizona wide outs
CHI RB Jeremy Langford will be the workhorse for the Bears Week 10, following his 142 yards and 1 TD performance Week 9. RB M Forte (MCL) remains sidelined

( hopefully not too many INTs)
Sit DAL J Witten ( vs PHIL)-

Sit GB Davante Adams (at CAR)-
Recommended Sit last week- see if Rodgers and Adams are clicking yet before we risk our fantasy week on him. Hopefully you waited- only 1 catch for 8 yards.
Sit JACK RB TJ Yeldon (at NYJ)-
Facing the #1 run defense
Start BUFF Charles Clay ( vs MIA)-
Week 3 vs MIA, Clay had 82 yards and 1 TD. Can he do it again?

A loss in the loss. MIA WR DeVante Parker (foot) was carted off the field Thursday night. Parker only played in 4 snaps. It's worth noting that the rookie WR underwent foot surgery less than 5 months ago
Start Em-HOU Nate Washington (vs TENN)- This guy isn’t a one week wonder ( Week 7- 127 yards and 2 TDs) Granted, Week 7 was especially good as Miami double teamed WR D Hopkins all day, but Washington has 8 or more targets in every game (4) he’s played this year

The Seahawks add some depth to their backfield by signing RB Bryce Brown

DAL D McFadden - Despite a nice week 7, remember, this is the same guy that finished 2014 with 155 carries for 534 yards (a 3.4-yard average) and only 2 TDs.

( Hopefully HC J Caldwell is next)
Reports out of San Diego suggest that
TE Antonio Gates (sprained MCL) could miss multiple games
Prior to the start of Week 7 it was reported that NE WR Brandon LaFell would play "at least" half of the Patriots' offensive snaps. He had 8 targets from QB Brady, successfully hauling in only 2 of them (for 25 yards) The Pats WR corps is too deep to get excited about anyone except Gronk & Edleman

The 1st game Sunday Week 7 is
BUFF vs JACK in London-

Sit ‘Em IND TEs Allen & Fleener ( vs N.O.)- In only one game this season, have the INDY TEs been a factor, and that was when QB Hasselbeck was starting
Sleeper DEF JACK ( vs BUFF in UK)- Buffalo will be playing without a ton of their starters ( QB T Taylor, WRs S Watkins and P Harvin are all OUT Week 7)
Start Em- PITT M Bryant ( at KC )- Bryant is a special talent ( similar to HOU’s D Hopkins) and teams are throwing all over KC this year
Start Em- OAK Lat Murray ( at SD)- The Chargers record is 2-4 because their offense is great, their defense stinks ( 30th vs the run)- Murray should near 20 carries and a nice stat line for Week 7
Week 7 WR Waiver Wire- HOU J Strong- WR Cecil Shorts has been ruled out for Week 7 so Strong should see a fair amount of the remaining targets that Hopkins doesn't get
W/ injuries to BUFF WRs P Harvin & S Watkins
TE Ch Clay is a solid play Week 7 vs JACK in London (JACK- given 5th most yds to TEs in '15)
4 WRs that have a "possibility" of Week 7 & 8 returns

NYG V Cruz
DAL Christine Michael who has been practicing with the Cowboy's starters... is Utter-Fantasy's top Waiver Wire pick up Week 7

NYG Odell Beckham Jr is officially active for Monday night's Week 6 game against the Eagles
JACK WR Allen Robinson suffered a leg contusion Week 6 but hopefully Robinson escaped with only a minor injury. He was spotted using a crutch in the locker room however- his status will be updated later this week

Following Packers WR Ty Montgomery exited Week 6 against the Chargers with an ankle injury, Jeff Janis filled in with 2 receptions for 79 yards. The packers head into their bye next week
Week 6 vs SD, RB J Starks carried the ball 10 times for 112 yards and 1 TD, while RB E Lacy only had 4 carries for 3 yards
with GB HC McCarthy announcing
"We're a one-two punch team"
T.J. Yeldon (groin) is inactive for the game against the Texans- RB Toby Gerhart should get the lion's share of carries Week 6- HOU is 20th vs the run
CHI WRs- A Jeffery & E Royal both questionable but expected to play-
if either is a late scratch, WR M Wilson is a sleeper again Week 6
WASH RB Matt Jones isn't expected to play Week 6, so RB A Morris finally have the rock to himself, albeit against a tough defense NYJ
BUFF RB LeSean McCoy is "probable" Week 6 and should see plenty of action w/ RB Karlos Williams still sidelined (concussion)
BALT RB Justin Forsett (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Week 6 against the 49ers
Acknowledging Belichick's liberties w/ injury reports Dion Lewis (abdomen) being questionable should lead to a very productive RB L Blount Week 6

ATL WR Roddy White only has 8 receptions on the season!
Waiver Wire Week 6-TE NYG Larry Donnell- The Giant’s TE had 6 receptions for 35 yards and a TD Week 5 and injuries to the Giant’s receiving corps will make Donnell even more valuable
Waiver Wire Week 6-KC Knile Davis/ Ch West- A lot of chatter for West as the lead guy in KC, but he only has 12 carries total as an NFL player. When given he opportunity in the past, Knile Davis has produced well, so he is Utter-Fantasy’s first choice. Regardless, it will be a more RBBC approach for KC going forward
Waiver Wire Week 6- DAL Matt Cassel- Only in very deep leagues should you consider Cassel, but the DAL/Weeden love affair is over
Seattle Seahawks- 2015

Injuries to WRs Steve Smith (broken bones in his back) and B Perriman (knee) forced BALT to trade w/ ST L for WR C Givens. Givens is a legit deep threat and should start immediately. Also like WR K Aiken Week 4- 5 catches for 77 yards and 1 TD
Injuries to BUFF RBs McCoy and Karlos Williams prompted the team to sign former IND RB Dan Herron
QB D Brees seems to have connected with WR W Snead and Week 4 showed it ( 6/89 yards- on 6 targets) vs WR B Cooks who is suppose to be the #1 WR for the Saints (4/25 yards Week 4)
BUFF Charles Clay- BUFF QB T Taylor has increased his looks for Clay every game….going from 4 to 6 to 7 to 13 targets in Week 4, and Clay already has 2 TDs

Sit SF Torrey Smith ( vs GB)- One of the best teams ( GB) vs one of the worst teams ( SF) and worst QBs ( Kaepernick)….UGH
Start HOU DeAndre Hopkins ( at ATL)- This has the makings for a high scoring event, and Hopkins is easily the Texan’s best weapon
CINN Andy Dalton (vs KC) – Teams are throwing all over the Chiefs this year. Week 1 it was Hoyer & Mallett. Week 2 it was Peyton Manning (who looked atrocious Week 1) and Week 3 it was Aaron Rodgers ( 5 TDs)
Sit STL Nick Foles (at ARI) –QB Foles’ has a poor start to the season and the ARI DEF Week 4 won’t make it any easier for the ST L QB- 2 TD passes TOTAL for 2015
Sit MINN Mike Wallace (at DEN ) – Fantasy owners might be tempted to start WR Wallace because it looks like WR Charles Johnson is OUT Week 4 and therefore more opportunities for Wallace. Wallace will disappoint
Start OAK Amari Cooper ( at CHI)- The Bear’s defense is dead last in the NFL. This one might end up looking similar to Cooper’s game 9/20/2014 vs the Florida gators ( 201 yards and 3 TDs)
Running Back-Start ‘Em...BUFF Karlos Williams ( vs NYG)- The Waiver Wire darling of Week 4 and for good reason. RB L McCoy can’t seem to get passed his injuries and RB K Williams is making a case as to why he should be the starter regardless

Falcons now view Roddy White and Leonard Hankerson as their "2 and 2A" wide receivers. Hankerson has been an Utter-Fantasy sleeper since the preseason

According to ESPN -GB RB Eddie Lacy is expected to play Monday against the Chiefs. So is Davante Adams (ankle)
Citing multiple sources, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Marshawn Lynch (calf) "is playing" Sunday versus the Bears
NO QB Luke MCown will start for Brees Week 4
( McCown's last NFL completion was in 2011 )
WASH RB Matt Jones would have had a decent game fro fantasy owners Thursday Night if not for a costly fumble in the endzone in the 4th qtr
MIA RB Lamar Miller- Week 1 & 2 great match ups & nothing
Wk 3 is a bad one so he should struggle
( unless he's a Seinfeld Bizzaro Miller )

2) CLEV G Barnidge playing OAK ( 2 TDs Week 1 Eifert- 2 TDs Week 2 Gillmore)
Bleacher Report's SEA Jimmy Graham is "pissed off" & "hates" his role w/ the Seahawks
( As predictable as a Trent Richardson 3 yard run )
2 away games is a B_____ 5 NFL teams were forced to start the season w/ 2 away games (SEA-DET-BALT-MIA-TENN) and went a combined 2-8
Did You Know That...

RB Lamar Miller- ( average leader 2014)
Week 1 - 13 carries.... Week 2- 10 carries
Keyshawn Johnson says …Give Lamar the damn ball
Waiver Wire Week 3 ATL Devonta Freeman- RB Tevin Coleman (broken rib) is likely out for a couple week, so RB D Freeman is now the starter
With the IND defense in trouble BEFORE the season started, I never understood the 1st Rd draft pick of WR Dorsett- Indy is regretting it

"I told you that quarterbacks don't fly"
NYJ HC Todd Bowles comment caught on sidelines
after CLEV QB McCowns aerial attempt to score a TD
Nelson Agholor ( vs Dallas)- In Week 1- PHIL S Bradford targeted WR J Matthews 13 times- WR R Cooper 4 times- WR M Austin 3 times-
WR J Huff 3 times and Wr N Agholor only 2 times- Agholor's early success in preseason came when QB Sanchez was under center-
For whatever reason.,Bradford/Agholor haven't clicked yet- sit him until they do
J Manziel (vs TENN) – I've seen Manziel ranked as high as #22 ( Yahoo staff) ahead of Foles-Fitzpatrick-Alex Smith and I'll let you know when I stop laughing
Chris Ivory (at IND) – A great recommendation last week and a good one this week- No RBBC for the Jets which is fantastic for fantasy owners and the Colts currently have the #31 defense
Nick Foles (at WASH ) – Foles was the #6 QB for Week 1, having better stats than A Rodgers, Brees and Roethlisberger- WASH won't be able to the ST L offense down
Shouldn't the new SD placekicker Josh LAMBO
be kicking for the Green Bay Packers....with that name?????
DEN RB C.J. Anderson (toe, ankle) is listed questionable for Week 2 against the Chiefs on Thursday night. DEN RB R Hillman is a MUST ADD in all fantasy leagues

He played in all 3-WR sets w/ Brandin Cooks and M Colston
IND D Allen- 3 catches for only 17 yards ( but he did have a TD, but not until the 4th qtr) The Colts didn’t use RB Gore enough, and the Colts didn’t use TE Allen enough and they lost- They will fix this
CAR Cam Newton- 18/31 for 175 yards and 1 TD- 1 INT- Week One- I don’t think he’ll recover from losing WR Kelvin Benjamin
DEN QB Peyton Manning's longest pass completion Week 1 was 18 yards
TB Austin Seferain-Jenkins- Before you start thinking that ASJ is the next Jimmy Graham- know that 84 of his 110 yards (and 1 TD) came in the 4th qtr when TENN had the game won
DEN R Hillman- RB C.J. Anderson may have suffered a sprained toe in the Broncos’ Week 1 win over the Ravens and is being evaluated. Hillman should be owned regardless
ARI Chris Johnson- HC Arians said Chris Johnson would be Arizona’s “lead dog” if Andre Ellington (PCL) is forced to miss any time
ST L Benny Cunningham- Not a long term solution to any roster- but while L Bell is out, or if you had Ellington- 122 total yards Week 1

NFL kickers squeeze, dent, compress & otherwise mangling footballs before every kick off, thereby changing the integrity of the football- every team in every game
When the NFL first began it's investigation of SD TE Antonio Gates for PEDs....was it called Gatesgate?

SD RB Danny Woodhead's fantasy stock just went up-
TE Ladarius Green is being evaluated for a possible concussion. Green practiced Wednesday and may have suffered a head injury at the very end of the session-
Green was listed as a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, so he possibly suffered a head injury at the very end of the session.
Alshon Jeffery (calf) at practice Wednesday. His 1st on-field action since August 12- Chicago Bears have said little- but Jeffery is on track to play Week 1

Jones, 31, spent 2014 primarily operating as the Raiders' slot receiver and will likely take over as the Packers' No. 3 receive- Ty Montgomery and Jeff Janis may need more time. Jones should be added in 12- and 14-team fantasy leagues

MINN RB Peterson-Some have AP #1 overall- He's a super human athlete but no preseason practice at all and nothing since Week 1 of '14 . He's also been injured before
Duke Johnson suffered a concussion in the Browns' 3rd preseason game Saturday night. The rookie was seeing his 1st action of the preseason due to a pulled hamstring. The CLEV backfield is an uncertain mess, as usual, just avoid drafting anyone from CLEV altogether

In Preseason Week 3 vs Detroit- rookie T J Yeldon finished the Jaguars' 22-17 loss to the Lions with 8 rushes for just 10 yards and that lone touchdown. ( replay showed he was short) He also caught one ball which he stretched 12 yards into a first down. The numbers at face value don't impress and he is not a great fantasy option

MIA offense has so many weapons ( 14 players had a reception for Miami in Preseason Week 2) that most won't ever get a chance to be fantasy stars- except for RB L Miller- WR J Landry and possibly TE J Cameron
ESPN reporting the Packers will reach out to free agent WR Reggie Wayne ( if Luck couldn't get production out of him- Rodgers won't either )
Preseason Wk 2- NYG QB Eli Manning started w/ RB R Jennings & WRs Odell Beckham-Preston Parker- over-rated WR Rueban Randle did not play
DEN QB P Manning started 4 series- 8/14 for 52 yards Very accurate, but despite the off-season there lacks a "zip" to his passes- With Denver's new emphasis on the running game w/ HC Kubiak- Manning may struggle in 2014 to be a top 10 QB

Because of the rash of injuries to their RBs... BUFF had to sign 2 RBs just to play the Preseason Week 2 game vs CLEV ( RBs R Seale & B Hill )
MINN There should be concern for the Vikings O-Line as RT Phil Loadholt suffered torn Achilles. Loadholt, 29, hadn’t missed a start in more than 5 years before a torn pectoral muscle sidelined him for the last five games in 2014. T.J. Clemmings, a rookie fourth-round pick out of Pittsburgh, took over at right tackle after Loadholt’s injury
ARI QB C Palmer looked great- connecting with WR John Brown and RB A Ellington twice ( one of which was a quick slant that went for 57 yards setting up a TD run also by Ellington. Only one series by Palmer- replaced by QB Drew Stanton
KC TE T Kelce had two swing out receptions- both short KC's conservative offense hasn't changed and Kelce won't be high on our rankings until it does

10 Players I won't be drafting-
Although RB Chris Johnson will turn 30 just before Week 3, the newly signed Cardinals back should have a shot to see some field time early in the year with rookie David Johnson still not practicing in full and Andre Ellington battling his own injuries
Vs the Ram Preseason Week 1, OAK RB L Murray started and ran well- He looked explosive on a 17-yard run in the first series and another long run on a quick cut back
TB offense will take a lot of time to produce with Winston, so fantasy owners beware- even a star like WR M Evans won't have a good season. I'm steering clear of all TB players
Vs the 49ers Preseason Week 1, HOU RB Alfred Blue was the starting running back and 9/59 yards. He looked good- Blue was eventually replaced with rookie RB Hilliard then RB Grimes
Vs the Saints Preseason Week 1, BALT rookie TE Maxx Williams had 2 catches for 36 yards. Maxx was the first TE selected in this NFL Draft
In preseason game vs NYG, CINN WR M Sanu started opposite WR A J Green- Sanu ( 1/3 - a TD reception)
-CINN WR M Jones one catch- by back up QB
NYG QB Eli Manning started and stayed in for 4 series in first preseason game, because the Giants couldn't generate any offense- same thing happened last year
SEA TE Jimmy Graham caught 12 pass from QB Wilson to the 10 yard line- then taken out- NOT used in goal line package- not yet anyways
WASH QB K Cousins came in after RG3 and was the best QB on the field, for both teams Washington or Cleveland ( 12/14 for 154 ) Preseason Week 1
ATL QB M Ryan wasted no time getting the ball to WR Julio Jones in Preseason Week 1 vs the Titans- 4 quick passes for 61 yards and 13 TD pass ( most YAC)
MIA RB L Miller- Preseason Week 1 vs Chicago Bears- Picked up where he left off last season as league average rushing leader ( 3/32)
NYJ RB C Ivory started Preseason Week 1 and had 6 carries for 25 yards early- HC T Bowles seems committed to the run and Ivory
NE RB J Gray (7/74) started Preseason Week 1 in place of #1 RB Blount and ripped off a 55 yard TD run early in the 2nd qtr- RB J White was also mixed in and only managed 12 yards on 8 carries- he did however have 4 receptions for 52 yards
W/ Hamstring injuries to both legs, DAL RB D McFadden can barely practice since signing a 2-year, $3 million contract.....J Jones can eat this predictable mistake
CHI WR Kevin White to undergo leg surgery, could miss season
DET Rookie RB Ameer Abdullah rushed for 67 yards on seven carries in the Lions' preseason opener Thursday night. DET RB Joique Bell is still recovering from offseason knee and Achilles' issues. RB Abdullah started Thursday and broke off a 45-yard run. (While Abdullahs fantasy stock rises, Bell's fantasy stock continues to tumble)
WASH TE N Paul out for season with ankle fracture. ( more TE trouble in WASH...TE J Reed - hamstring injury. TE Logan Paulsen dealing with toe injury )
#1 Rookie TE M Williams caught 2 passes for 36 yards in Thursday's preseason opener vs N.O. ( D Pitta -hip- hasn't been cleared to practice)

Pittsburgh Steelers have signed K Garrett Hartley to replace injured K Shaun Suisham ( Suisham will undergo ACL surgery this week. Out for the season)
QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was going to beat out QB Geno Smith anyways
Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said Tuesday that Johnson (hamstring) won't play in games if he misses training camp
New Orleans RB C J Spiller will be drafted too high in many leagues and is a bust candidate by Utter-Fantasy
The Cardinals have offered free agent RB Chris Johnson a one-year contract. The acquisition isn't huge but it does hurt RBs Ellington's and rookie David Johnson's fantasy value, which has already been dropping due to injuries
Utter-Fantasy already considers New England RB L Blount of big sleeper for 2015, and the Boston Herald recently reported that Blount has been "far and away the best running back" at Patriots camp
N.O. WR Brandon Cooks- 2014 fastest 40 combine- 4.33
Thru 10 games last season , 53 rec…7 TDs and 550 yds.
A broken thumb in Wk 10 ended season. ...."He says he's even faster!"
Washington's New offensive line coach Bill Callahan thinks his bruising style Morris is a good fit for his run game. (Last season, Callahan was the Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator and offensive line coach and turned Dallas into the league’s best unit.)

Pittsburgh Steelers- WR Martavis Bryant- Underwent a "minor" procedure to fix infection in elbow
Texans are trying out vet Pierre Thomas & Rotoworld is reporting maybe in BenJarvus Green-Ellis. (Foster to miss at least the first 8 games)- Foster's injury showcases how valuable a stable of RBs is. Foster owners (who've already drafted) are in trouble- De-valued RBs- not anymore
With all the needs of ST L , it's still confusing why the Rams used their 1st Rd 10th overall pick on RB T Gurley. He was hurt and still is- Really Fisher-???
NFL.com's reports Arian Foster (groin surgery) will "almost certainly" begin the year on injured reserve/designated to return. Foster's injury appears "major,"and might miss at least the first eight weeks of the season. Keep you r eye on the trio of Alfred Blue, Jonathan Grimes and Chris Polk
PITT WRs Markus Wheaton vs Martavis Byrant
In 2014- Targeted...Wheaton 86 - 2 TDs- Bryant...48- 8 TDs

ESPN reporting Titans to employ RBBC
( Fine...as long as they're smart about it- 23 carries RB Cobb- 2 carries RB Stankey- 2 passes McCluster)
PHIL HC Crazy Kelly certainly doesn’t mind shipping guys out- Steelers acquired CB Brandon Boykin in a trade with the Eagles in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2016 draft or a fourth-rounder based on Boykin’s 2015 playing time.
Preseason NFL Football only 7 Days Away ...Read how preseason can help you win fantasy championships-
NY Jets have lost a weapon- Second-round WR Devin Smith suffered broken ribs in the first practice of Jets camp and may miss all of the preseason.
Looks like Detroit's 2nd NFL Draft pick in the 2nd Round, 5'9" 205 RB Ameer Abdullah out of Nebraska, is going to be more valuable than anticipated. ESPN reports that there seems to be more concern with Joique Bell's health this year than in 2014
After a summer of waffling, Owner Jerry Jones has informed commissioner Roger Goodell that Goodell will be upholding Brady's four-game suspension.
Although the NFL has reduced Le'Veon Bell's suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy down to missing his first two games, two lost games is still alot lose for a first round pick.
N.O. QB Drew Brees was the only quarterback to throw a TD pass in all 16 games last season
ARI HC Bruce Arians has hired Dr. Jen Welter as a training camp inside linebackers coach.
Welter is the first ever female coach in the NFL
In the top tier by himself,
TE Rob Gronkowski has 54 TDs in 54 career starts

Only BALT J Forsett had a higher yds-per-carry avg than
MIA RB Lamar Miller- ( Forsett- 5.39 L Miller- 5.09 )
In 152 rushing attempts in 2014, TENN RB B Sankey never had a run longer than 22 yds, he scored only 2 TDs total-longest was 9 yards. No thanks!
2014 YAC Leaders (Yds After Catch)
1) Lev Bell- 811
2) M Forte- 749
3) DET G Tate- 695
4) Dem Thomas- 645
5) Ant Brown- 601
6) R Cobb- 584
Browns HC Pettine declined to name Josh McCown the team's starter. Same in-decisiveness he did all last season, w/ all the CLEV RBs- He's a terrible HC and there isn't a Brown worth drafting fantasy-wise
Did You Know- DAL WR Terrance Williams started out the 2014 season with 6 Romo TD receptions in the 1st 7 games? An Utter-Fantasy WR sleeper
In 2014, TE Cameron Jordan had the longest reception for a TE....81 yds TE Coby Fleener- 2nd longest- 73 yds. TE Delanie Walker 3rd- 68 yds
In 2014, only one team ran the ball more inside the 10 yard line than the Miami Dolphins did- ( Miami- 45 times....NE- 52 times)

('10- 5 TDs...'11- 5 TDs...'12- 5 TDs...'13- 6 TDs...'14- 6 TDs...)
Did You Know- After the 2012, 2013 & 2014 seasons, only DEN WR Dem Thomas & Dez Bryant consistantly ranked in the top 5 of NFL WRs ( '15 will be their 4th in top 5 )
In the final 5 games of the 2014 season, DEN QB Peyton Manning only threw a total of 5 TD passes. ( In Weeks 14 & 17, he did not throw one )
Utter-Fantasy's Drafting "Rule-of-Thumb"…..
..When trying to decide between 2- WRS, TEs or RBs, go with the player who has the better QB.
( example- We like WR R White over V Jackson- better QB)
Utter-Fantasy Loves DEN RB CJ Anderson in 2015. Denver must win w/ QB P Manning this year. Key: Keep him fresh! More running- less passing attempts. ( Peyton Manning's passing attempts 1st 5 games average in 2014- 38 per game. and he wore down- Last 5 games- 31 per game )
CJ Anderson is our 9th ranked RB for 2015
1st Preseason NFL Game is ONLY 4 Weeks Away! Sunday August 9th- 2015 HOF GAME -Pittsburgh vs. Minnesota
Utter-Fantasy- Helping Fantasy Teams Win
- "Give a mouse some cheese, feed him for a day,
teach a mouse to make cheese, feed him forever!"
4 things I'd love to see in the NFL this year…...
1) CLEV, NYJ and TENN have one QB play all 16 games
2) REF Pete Morelli do a LIons home game
3) A 70 yard FG
4) O Beckham catch a TD pass w/ only 2 fingers
MINN WR Jarius Wright had the longest TD reception in 2014... ( 87 yds)
Chicago TE Martellus Bennett had the most receptions for a TE in 2014 with 90. ( TEs Jimmy Graham 85- Greg Olsen 84- Gronk 82- A Gates 69)
High scoring NFL teams means high scoring fantasy points. Most Points-Per-Game in 2014 ...DEN 30.4 ...PHIL 29.6 ...NE 29.3 ...DAL 29.2 ...IND 28.6 and the Least Points-Per-Game 2014 JACK 15.6... OAK-15.8 ...TENN 15.9... TB 17.3... NYJ 17.7
JACK TE Julius Thomas' success in Denver will have him selected far too earlier. Note- Jacksoville was dead last in points per game in '14
In 2014, Miami QB Ryan Tannehill had 27 TD passes. His longest was only 32 yards! Only two went for 20+ yards and 14 were under 10 yards
Only one QB threw at least one TD pass in every game he played in (16) last season....Drew Brees
Did You Know- that TE Antonio Gates had as many TD receptions in 2014 (12) as Gronk did in New England? (Ladarius Green- nice sleeper early- due to Gates' 4 game suspension)
The Dallas Cowboys have an estimated value of $2.3 billion, they are the most valuable team in the NFL, they are the 5th most valuable sports team in the WORLD, they generate $560 million in revenue which is the most of any NFL team, they haven’t paid a dime in taxes since the 1960’s because they were considered a “non-profit organization”, and they don't want to pay Dez Bryant, Romo's only weapon!
Washington's New offensive line coach Bill Callahan thinks his bruising style Morris is a good fit for his run game. (Last season, Callahan was the Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator and offensive line coach and turned Dallas into the league’s best unit.)
26 days away! 2015 PRESEASON HOF GAME (Aug. 9) Pittsburgh vs. Minnesota
Nice Tid-Bit from RotoWorld- Jason Witten hasn't missed a start since 2006.
The NFL's window for franchise-tagged players to sign long-term extensions closes Wednesday.
Utter-Fantasy's Top Draft Fantasy Draft selections: QB- Andrew Luck, RB- Jamaal Charles, WR- Odell Beckham Jr., TE- Gronk, and DEF- Seattle
Did You Know– The Jaguars purposely wear their white jerseys at home forcing opponents to wear their dark ones, which is extremely hot and uncomfortable in the Jacksonville heat? ( see more interesting "Did You Knows" in every team profile report)
RB Ameer Abdullah – Detroit Lions..I HATE, HATE, HATE this selection by Detroit, and hate where Abdullah landed. Strictly fantasy wise, this stinks. RB Abdullah’s addition not only sinks his own fantasy value, but RB Joique Bell’s as well. There is no longer a #1 RB in Detroit, and a bigger RBBC situation than we had in 2014.
Did You know – In his shortened 2014 NFL season, WR Odell Beckham Jr broke 24 New York Giants franchise records... and 34 NFL Records ? ( see NY Giants Team Profile for entire list)
Commissioner Roger "puppet" Goodell told CNBC on July 9th that a ruling on Tom Brady's appeal of his four-game suspension is "coming very soon."
2015 PRESEASON WEEK-BY-WEEK SCHEDULE NFL/HALL OF FAME GAME (Aug. 9) Pittsburgh vs. Minnesota (NBC)….that's only 30 days from now!
FREE AGENCY - Although he wants to extend his career (with a contender) RB Steven Jackson has yet to make a visit in free agency. His 2014 stats were 707 yards and 6 TDs on 190 carries.
NEW ENGLAND - The Pats keep searching for that TE opposite Gronk, and hoping it's former Washington TE Fred Davis (1 yr deal). Davis is a special talent but struggles staying healthy. NE now has 5 Tight Ends on their roster.
FANTASY FOOTBALL QUIZ - DAL RB Demarco Murray had 61 receptions during the 2014 season. How many of those went for TDs? Answer: ZERO. Murray and Jeremy Hill were the only two of the top 10 fantasy RBs not to grab a TD pass.
NEW ENGLAND - Tom Brady...if you want #Deflategate to go away, ask Jerry Jones how he got away with @BribingPeteMorelligate and simply follow his advice.
DALLAS - Free agent RB Chris Johnson is letting it be known that he wants to play for the Cowboys. (He actually just wants to be employed.) The Cowboys did not address running back in the draft, so they should be adding to their depth chart. Sources within the Cowboy's organization feel RB Joseph Randle can be a 1400 yard rusher, so Utter-Fantasy would draft him as the starter. RB Darren McFadden hasn't had anything positive to offer in years.
ARIZONA - At the age of 31, Cardinals TE John Carlson is retiring after seven years in the NFL. Most of the TE free agents have been signed for 2015, perhaps the Cards will take a look a TE Jermain Gresham who is recovering from March back surgery. With the 256 selection (last) the Cardinals did select 'Mr. Irrelevant' , TE Gerald Christian.
TAMPA BAY - QB Jameis Winston's rookie contract with the Bucs includes a clause that he can't play baseball.
OAKLAND - WR James Jones fantasy stock took a hit alright, with the selection of WR Amari Cooper. Jones has been released .
NFL DRAFT - With the 256th (i.e. last) selection, the Cardinals select TE Gerald Christian as 'Mr. Irrelevant'.
NY JETS - RB Zac Stacy request to be traded has been granted. The Jets acquired Stacy from the Rams in exchange for the No. 224 overall pick in the NFL draft.
NFL Draft - The Jacksonville Jaguars should have drafted QB Marcus Mariota with their #3 selection, since according to Roger "idiot" Goodell, Tennessee drafted, "Marcus Mariotto".
NFL Draft - The Colts gave up far too many points last season, making their most pressing need a starting safety to pair with veteran Mike Adams. (So they drafted 5'10" WR Philip Dorsett....???)
NFL Draft - HC Lovie Smith has never drafted any quarterback, in any year, before the 4th round! (That streak ended when Smith (and the Glazer family) selected QB Jameis Winston #1.
NFL Draft - the Chiefs look to shore up a hole in their pass defense with perhaps the most athletic corner in this year's draft (but in doing so, ignore the wide receiver position, as usual).
NFL Draft - Many (including Utter-Fantasy) considered USC DT Leonard Williams the top prospect in this year's draft. The Jets got him at #6.
NFL Draft - The immediate need of St. Louis, we thought, was help on their O-Line, after releasing Scott Wells and Jake Long (C & LT). The RB Todd Gurley pick was a shocker!
San Diego - Reports that the Chargers are committed to "keeping QB Rivers" should add..."for one year", because that's how long Rivers intends to stay on the West coast team. San Diego should get all they can for him now before the draft.
NFL Draft - The 2013 was a pretty good draft year for RBs! Gio Bernard, LeVeon Bell, Montee Ball, E Lacy, Knile Davis, Den Robinson, Z Stacy, Latavius Murray, Andre Ellington, and Theo Riddick.
NFL - According to a recent Bloomberg report, The NFL’s central office will become a taxable entity, ending its tax-exempt status. Commissioner Roger Goodell informed team owners and members of Congress of the decision in letters dated Tuesday, saying he was "eliminating a distraction.” (Naturally, this "Commissioner" didn't say he was "righting a wrong".)
NFL DRAFT - Missouri edge rusher Shane Ray was arrested Monday morning for possession of marijuana in Cooper County, Mo. Now, he may find himself falling in the Draft until day two.

MIA - WR Greg Jennings signs a 2 year deal as a Miami Dolphin.
PHIL - the Eagles now have 3 of the 5 worst QBs over the last 5 years. Total QBR: T "THE Worst" Tebow - 34, Geno Smith - 36, C Henne - 37, M Sanchez - 40, and S Bradford - 41.
NFL - According to a study by Football Perspective, Richard Sherman was the least targeted cornerback in the NFL...(& according to everyone that watches football).

NFL Draft - the NFL Network is reporting that Arizona State WR Jaelen Strong has a fractured bone in his wrist that will likely require surgery. This could potentially drop Strong out of the 1st & 2nd rounds.
NFL - No hung jury...Ex-NFL player Aaron Hernandez convicted of 1st-degree murder. He is 25 years old and will get life in prison without the possibility of parole.
NFL- Utter-Fantasy has updated all 32 NFL team profiles.
OAK - WR Michael Crabtree appears set to sign on with the Raiders. At least he won't have to travel far to his new team. Crabtree had a disappointing 2014 season with 68 receptions, 698 yards and 4 TDs. (That's about what his ceiling will be in 2015.)
NFL - WR Hakeem Nicks is in searching for another team. But in a pass friendly offense like Indianapolis last season, with Andrew Luck as his QB, Nicks only managed 44 receptions for 503 yards. We hope he retires while his troubled knees still work.
NYG - WR Victor Cruz's rehab is going slowly and the Giants could save $6 million against the cap by cutting him. To make matters worst for Cruz's future in New York, the Giants have the 9th overall pick in the upcoming draft and could easily replace Cruz with a WR such as DeVanta Parker, who we believe will be available.
PITT - RB LeVeon Bell has been smacked with a 3 game suspension for the start of the 2015 season for his drug possession. The former #1 fantasy draft pick this fall, now could fall anywhere in the first round.
PITT - SS Troy Polamalu has announced his retirement from the NFL. Look for the Steelers to use their #22 pick in Round One of the upcoming NFL Draft on a safety. (We predict they land Alabama SS Landon Collins.)
N.O. - The Saints have re-signed WR Joe Morgan.
SF - 49ers take a chance and sign National Rugby League star Jarryd Hayne. The 27-year-old, who was named the NRL's Player of the Year in 2014, reported that there was $100,000 guaranteed with San Francisco.
MINN - Vikings sign Babatunde Aiyegbusi 6-foot-9 & 351 pounds - an un-drafted free-agent tackle who played in the Polish American Football League.
CAR - Panthers sign former GB WR Jarrett Boykin, but Carolina still needs more receiver help. (WR Jerricho Cotchery's contract is currently keeping him on their roster.)
NFL - The world only has two kinds of people in it. The people who play fantasy football...and the people who should!
NFL - Did you know that rookie WR Breshad Perriman (ranked #6 WR in April's NFL Draft) is the son of former Lions WR Brett Perriman ('91-'96) .
OAK - RB Latavius Murray is told that he must battle Trent Richardson for the starting job. (We doubt he's worried.)
N.O. - 3 years ago this week (March 2012) DC Gregg Williams was suspended from the NFL as a result of the Saints bounty scandal.
MINN - RB A Peterson will not be released by the VIkings giving him two choices - traded to another team for a high draft pick or playing for MINN in 2015.
BUFF - WR Percy Harvin has signed with Buffalo, which will make it his 4th team since 2012 (MINN-SEA-NYJ-BUFF) He was drafted by the Vikings in 2009.
OAK - New Raider RB Trent Richardson's 2-yr deal is worth $3.9 MIL...w/ $4.1 MIL available thru incentives...which means the deal will be worth only $3.9 MIL.
GB- WR Randall Cobb is smart too! The wide receiver was reportedly seeking $11 million per season, but settled for $10M annually to stay in Green Bay, keeping a system he thrives in and Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback.
STL - STL signs DT Nick Fairley to a 1-yr deal. HC Fisher is moving quickly on some very smart moves. Can't wait to see what he does in the draft.
N.O. - The Saints signed RB C.J. Spiller to a four-year contract. Last season, RBs Pierre Thomas and Travaris Cadet didn't really hurt Ingram's fantasy value, so new No. 2 Spiller likely won't either.
MIA - Dolphins signed TE Jordan Cameron, formerly of the Browns, to a two-year contract worth $15 million. TE Charles Clay is shopping his services, with Buffalo showing the most interest.
DAL- RB Darren McFadden signs with the Cowboys, a two-year deal. McFadden is a plodder, and had a little over 500 yards last season on 155 carries. So far the starting RB in Dallas is Joseph Randle. In January, ESPN reported that there are people within the Cowboys organization who believe RB Randle can be a 1,400-yard rusher.
SEA - New Orleans Saints, having the worst cap space in the NFL (thanks to Drew Brees) sent their best offensive weapon TE Jimmy Graham to Seattle for C Max Unger and Seattle's 31st selection in April's NFL Draft. TE Graham will obviously help Seattle but his fantasy stock takes a pretty good hit (much like former Bronco TE Julius Thomas going to Jacksonville ).
IND - Frank Gore signs with the Colts to a three-year, $12 million contract. Although it would have been nice to see RB Gore retire a 49er, he is now on a team that most definitely will go to the playoffs and Gore hopes is Superbowl bound .
NYJ - Former Pats CB Darrelle Revis reunites with a Jets on a five-year, $70 million contract with $39 million guaranteed. He is now the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history.
KC - Chiefs agreed to terms with former Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin on a five-year, $55 million contract with $22.5 million guaranteed.
ST.L - Only time will tell what Philly HC Chip Kelly has up his sleeve, but most agree St Louis came away huge in the Foles for Bradford trade.
N.O. - TE Jimmy Graham has been traded to the Seattle Seahawks.
N.O. - After letting RB Pierre Thomas go, the Saints knew they couldn't afford to let free agent RB Mark Ingram leave, which was likely the plan all along. Saints re-signed Ingram to a four-year, $16 million contract. Ingram doesn't have a lot of wear on his tires, so he's a strong top 15 RB candidate in 2015.
GB - WR Randall Cobb stays put! Packers re-signed WR Cobb to a four-year, $40 million contract. QB Aaron Rodgers has to be thrilled that one his most reliable weapons isn't going anywhere...DET, MINN & CHI...not so much.
NY - Jets acquired WR Brandon Marshall from the Bears in exchange for undisclosed compensation.
BUFF - The Bills and new head coach Rex Ryan not done. They acquired QB Matt Cassel and an undisclosed draft pick from the Vikings in exchange for two undisclosed draft picks.
PHIL - The football world is still stunned that the Eagles traded RB LeSean McCoy to Buffalo for LB Kiko Alonso. The move reunites Alonso with his college coach Chip "control-freak" Kelly.
CLEV - The Browns have signed QB Josh McCown. McCown will be Cleveland's 29th QB since 1993 (one of the 29 was Josh's brother Luke-2004). BTW, Indy Colts have had 3 QBs in that same time span.
NYJ - The New York Jets have 39 MIL in cap space, 3rd most in the NFL. Maybe they can't find a QB, but they can afford one.
NFL DRAFT - BALT Ozzie Newsome - "No player will be drafted by us, that has ANY reports of domestic violence in their past".
NFL DRAFT - Mel Kiper - Garrett Grayson is the 3rd best QB coming out of college, and is the "Derek Carr" of the 2015 NFL Draft.
MIA - (Not liking their own draft picks.) The Miami Dolphins have not signed any of their 1st round draft picks to a 2nd contract since 2004.
NE - NE may have trouble re-signing S Devin McCourty & Darrell Revis. NE is 12 MIL over salary cap, which is the 3rd worst in the NFL.
BALT - Will the Ravens be able to restructure a deal to keep Pro Bowl defensive tackle Haloti ? Some industry experts say "Ngata".
NFL Combine - He's a biggin'...Penn State TE Jesse James is 6'7" - ran a 40 time of 4.83, and broad jumped 10'1". James could be drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round.
ATL - The Falcons didn't have a quality TE step in after TE Tony Gonzalez retired, so look for Atlanta to go after free agents Jordan Cameron or Julius Thomas. The top draft prospect at TE is 6'5" Maxx Williams, who the Falcons could with the 8th overall selection.
NFL - At the NFL Combine, both Florida State's Jameis Winston and Oregon's Marcus Mariota measured in at 6'3 3/4".
KC - In keeping with their "wide receiver-less" offense, the Chiefs have released WR AJ Jenkins & Donnie Avery.
NFL - Buffalo is showing interest in QB Josh McCown. This would be his 9th team if they sign him. FYI - He'll have to play into his 60s, to play for every team in the NFL.
DEN - QB Manning met with Elway and the DEN brass and it appears he wants to play 2015. WR Demaryius Thomas is a free agent, as is TE Julius Thomas. TE Thomas is probably on another team in 2015.
ATL - The Steven Jackson Saga should be coming to an end soon in Atlanta. He's 32 in July, and hasn't lived up to expectations since signing on with the Falcons in 2013.
PITT - What did RB LeVeon Bell have in common with WRs B Marshall, Pierre Garcon & Jordan Matthews? All targeted 105 times in the passing game. Each ended up with 720+ receiving yards.
KC - It's your own damn vault (ala Will Ferrell). KC Chiefs have drafted no WRs since 2012...passing on TY Hilton that year & passing on Torrey Smith & Randall Cobb in 2011.
DET - The Detroit Lions have drafted a WR every year since 2007. Only Calvin Johnson and Corey Fuller are still on their roster. The WRs that DET has passed on would make Lion fans cry!
TENN - With RB Shonn Greene's latest run in with the law, he will surely be cut. TENN will be left with only the unavailing RB Sankey, Dexter McCluster and Antonio Andrews. The Titans have only drafted one running back since 2011.
CLEV - TE Jordan Cameron says he wants out of Cleveland (and who can blame him). A great landing spot would be Altanta, who hasn't had a fill in for TE Tony Gonzalez since he retired in 2013.
Football withdrawals? Here's a great link to upcoming NFL events Feb2 - July 22: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/schedules/keydates
SUPER BOWL - Interesting stat from Rotoworld - 0 INTs occurred from the 1-yard line this past NFL season until Wilson was picked by Malcolm Butler in the big game.
SUPER BOWL- Turn an irritating BORING story into a FUN drinking game...Any time the word "deflate" is said during the Super Bowl, everyone takes a shot! No driving!
SUPER BOWL - More than 325 million gallons of beer will be guzzled during this year's Super Bowl, and as Forbes notes, that's more than a gallon of beer for each person in the United States. God bless America!
JACK - Jaguars owner Shad Khan stated he's, "very optimistic" about the 2015 return of suspended WR Justin Blackmon. (He's also said to be optimistic about Sarah Palin winning the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics.)
SEA - ESPN's Ed Werder reports Richard Sherman has torn ligaments in his elbow. (His left arm was stuck to his side like a broken wing during the conference championship with GB.) QB Aaron Rodgers didn't challenge Sherman after the injury, but QB Tom Brady likely will.
NE- RB L Blount denies orchestrating his November release from the Steelers. (If ESPN starts up w/ "BlountGate", we'll never tune them in again.)
NFL - The top 5 Running Backs available as free agents are 1. DeMarco Murray 2. Mark Ingram 3. Justin Forsett 4. Shane Vereen and 5. Ryan Mathews.
NFL - The top 5 Wide Receivers available as free agents are 1. Dez Bryant 2. Demaryius Thomas 3. Randall Cobb 4. Jeremy Maclin and 5. Torrey Smith.
PHIL - All kinds of chatter that the Eagles may want to trade QB Nick Foles. This is all the 3rd rounder has done: Pass completions = 62%, TD/INT ratio 46/17, QB rating 94.2. HC Chip Kelly is a smart guy, so we doubt Foles is going anywhere.
Fantasy Fun - Alexis Carrington wasn't as hated in the "Dynasty" world as much as WR Josh Gordon is right now! (Young people won't get this.) :)
NFL Draft - "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." - Jameis Winston Churchill
NFL - Belichick (allegedly) deflates some footballs and the FBI is called. Jerry Jones (allegedly) bribes crooked refs and the story disappears on Google by day 2.
BALT - So the Ravens lose OC Kubiak to Denver, and replace him with ex- Chicago HC M Trestman. We doubt very much that QB Joe Flacco is jumping up & down with joy over the hire.
PHIL - It's crazy to think the Eagles would try to move up in the NFL draft to select Oregon QB Marcus Mariota. College QBs are the biggest gamble in the draft, and it's more realistic to think Mariota will be there at 20 if HC Kelly really wants him. (Foles is better regardless.)
IND - Would've been interesting if IND HC Chuck Pagano had grabbed RB Blount in November instead of NE. Blount sat unsigned for a while after being cut by PITT. HC Belichick signed Blount to a league minimum contract, while HC Pagano stuck w/ bust Trent Richardson.
LAS VEGAS - The early money in Las Vegas is on the Patriots to win Super Bowl XLIX. The Patriots opened up as a 2.5-point underdog at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. However, that number was bet down to a pick'em less than an hour after the opening line went live.
NE - Do you think RB L Blount minds getting kicked off of the Steelers roster?
NE - Belichick is being investigated for under-inflated footballs brought in during the Week 3 playoff game. (The slightly under-inflated footballs are believed to allow QB Brady a better grip.)
BUFF - With the Rex Ryan hire, QB E J Manuel's future there isn't rosy. Never successful as a starting QB, Manuel will end up a back up QB on some team's roster.
CHI - ex-DEN HC John Fox left Chicago without a contract, but it's reported that it is his job if he wants it.
SF - the 49ers have promoted their defensive line coach, Jim Tomsula, to the head coaching position.
OAK - the Raiders have hired ex-Denver defensive coordinator, Jack Del Rio, as their head coach.
NYJ- The Jets have hired ex-Arizona defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles, as their head coach.
CHI - ex-DEN HC John Fox is interviewing in Chicago Wednesday and would be an excellent hire to help QB Jay Cutler.
DEN - Broncos seeking permission to interview Gary Kubiak. He makes a ton of sense having played & assistant coached there (and the way he runs an offense fits perfectly).
IND - RB Trent Richardson could make $3.1 million dollars next year playing the role of the bust.
SPLITSVILLE COLORADO - HC John Fox is leaving his position as Head Caoch with the Broncos. Reports have a deteriorated relationship with Fox and John Elway. After 4 years, Fox's record is 46-18.
BALT - RB J Forsett led the league with 5.4 yards per carry, scored eight touchdowns and ranked fifth in the league in rushing with 1,266 yards.
DEN - QB Peyton is the man, but he looked spent in the Week 2 of the playoff games, and one has to wonder if he has it in him to go thru training camp, another NFL season, and any playoffs.
BUFF - HC Rex Ryan goes from the NYJ to BUFF...Geno Smith to EJ Manuel...C Ivory to F Jackson...E Decker to S Watkins. Rex may as well change the team name to the Buffalo Jets, because he has all the same problems.
BUFF - Rex Ryan lands in Buffalo as their Head Coach.
PLAYOFFS- Lucky for Dallas, Week 2 of the playoffs vs the Packers in Green bay is supposed to be the warmest day over the next 5 days... a balmy 22 degrees.
CLEV - What a mess of an organization! OC Kyle Shanahan leaves the Browns after only one year, reported because "Johnny Greenhorn" was forced into the starting line up by the front office, late in the season (and with the team still in playoff contention).
Does Pete "on-the-take" Morelli referee's price go up now that we are in the 2nd week into the playoffs?
KC - ESPN reported that Kansas City could cut WR Dwayne Bowe if the two sides can't agree on a reduced contract. Have the Chiefs, who didn't throw even one TD pass to a WR in 2014, decided that they don't even need a WR on the field?
NFL - Names are swirling and interviews are taking place, but no one has yet landed, one of the 5 head coaching positions currently available in the NFL.
IND - Despite two fumbles, one recovered, The Colts are sticking with RB Herron and even commented that, "Benching him following the fumbles was not in the best interest of the RB or team."
CINN - The Bengals will be without WR A J green and TE J Gresham vs the Colts. It was going to be very tough for Cincinnati WITH those guys.
Falcons and 49ers have requested permission to interview Patriots OC Josh McDaniels for their head-coaching vacancies. (Apparently, failing miserably once as a head coach doesn't hurt his resume.)
CLEV - HC Mike Pettine would like to get 16 RBs on the Brown's roster so that he can name a new & different starter EVERY week in 2015.
SF - HC Jim Harbaugh has agreed to be the head coach at the UNIV of MICHIGAN.
BUFF- As expected the QB "Band-Aid" Kyle Orton has announced how retirement. Buffalo will need to decide if QB E J Manuel is their QB for 2015.
5 Teams that will need a Head Coach: SF, ATL, NYJ, CHI, OAK (Sean Payton had better turn N.O. around soon, or he'll be on the list next year.)
KC - QB Alex Smith has been ruled OUT for Week 17 vs the Chargers.
CLEV - WR Josh Gordon is OUT for Week 17 for violating team rules. (Josh Gordon is still Josh Gordon.)
CLEV - QB Conner "Who?" Shaw will be the starting QB for the Browns Week 17. How fun is this game going to be for the Baltimore Defense ???
N.O. - RB Pierre Thomas has been place on IR.
ATL - RB Steven Jackson is listed as questionable in a must win vs Carolina.
NE - Trying to guess what HC Belichick will do is impossible, but in a "meaningless game" starters will likely play only into the 2nd quarter, and very little of that.
NYG - RB R Jennings is listed as "probable" whereas RB Andre Williams is listed as "questionable". Williams has had the majority of snaps since Week 13.
KC- A WR in KC actually getting passes. The Chiefs still in playoffs hunt. WR Albert Wilson - 87 yards in Week 16 & 209 yards over his past 3 games.
CAR vs ATL - One of the more intriguing games being played Week 17 has been moved from 1:00 EST to 4:25 EST. The winner of the CAR vs ATL showdown makes the playoffs.
CLEV - If QB B Hoyer cannot start for the Browns Week 17, an un-drafted rookie named Connor Shaw will likely be under center. (Which should be a field day for the Baltimore defense playing in Baltimore Sunday.)
ATL - The Falcons have brought up an RB from the practice squad, which suggests RB St Jackson will not play Week 17. RB D Freeman would be move into the start.
IND - The Colts, who totaled 1 rushing yard in 10 attempts by 3 different running backs, will get the NFL's worst run defense Week 17.
NYJ - WR Percy Harvin won't end his 2014 on an upside, he is not expected to play in the final regular season game Week 17 (ribs).
ATL - RB ST Jackson left Sunday's game with a quad injury. He's expected to be fine for Week 17, although RB Freeman made his case Week 16 to start.
GB - RB Eddie Lacy left Sunday's game with a leg injury, but it isn't considered serious and should be OK for the big match up vs DET Week 17.
CLEV - Haden is OUT Week 16, which is a huge boost to WR K Benjamin and QB Newton.
SATURDAY GAMES - WEEK 16 - The SD Chargers and the PHIL Eagles are both in must win games. Start players on both teams.
ATL - The Falcons play New Orleans at 1:00 EST Week 16, and WR Julio Jones' status likely won't be known until kickoff. WR Harry Douglas is a top 25 WR regardless.
CHI - Head coach Trestman is making sure Chicago knows what he thinks of being fired after the season by benching QB Cutler and starting QB Clausen. Cutler is a disaster, but is still the best shot at ending the season with a win or two.
SF - The 49ers are eliminated so trotting out injured RBs Gore & Hyde makes no sense. RB Alfonso Smith is my guess as the starter.
SD - WR K Allen is OUT for the rest of the season w/ a broken collarbone. WR Eddie Royal steps into a larger and familiar role, with WR Seyl Ajirotutu also getting snaps.
TENN - Week 15, RB Sh Greene had 16 carries for 50 yards (to RB Sankey's 3 carries) Not a stellar performance by Greene, but TENN cannot be happy w/ Sankey in 2014. Greene may get the start for the remaining 2 games.
SF - The 49ers could play spoilers to the Chargers on Saturday DEC 20th in San Francisco. The 49ers have been eliminated from the playoffs and Chargers need a win.
PHIL - The Eagles play Saturday DEC 20th at WASH and it is a must win for Philadelphia. A loss (and a DAL win) would mean elimination from the playoffs.
BUFF - RB CJ Spiller was activated from IR and there is some speculation that he may be available Week 16. Spiller wasn't effective when he was healthy Weeks 1-7, never topping 69 yards in any game, with zero TDs. He is not worth chasing in any league format.
JACK - RBs WEEK 15 - RB T Gerhart lead the Jags w/ 13 carries for 54 yards (RB S Johnson 6/ 19 yards, RB J Todman 3 / 54 yards) JAGS vs TENN Week 16...TENN worst run Defense in the NFL.
DAL - "If anyone can come back & play, it's DeMarco Murray". NOT...NOT going to happen. Pick up RB Randle now!
DAL - According to ESPN, DeMarco Murray is having surgery on his hand (broken bone) and could be OUT Week 16.
PHIL - QB N Foles is already OUT for Week 16, and bringing him back for one game in Week 17 makes zero sense. He's done for 2014.
NYG - RB R Jennings once again re-injured his ankle and his status for Week 16 is very much in the air. RB A Williams has shined at times, and will likely be the man in New York for the final two games.
AT L- Julio's OUT. Fire up WR H Douglas!
SD - Although RB R Mathews is listed as "questionable", he was unable to practice all week, and would be liability for SD (and fantasy owners) if he suited up. His replacement, D Brown is a sleeper Week 15.
CHI - WR Marquess Wilson moves up to the #2 WR in Chicago, with WR B Marshall OUT for the season.
NYJ - WR P Harvin has gone from "likely out for the season" to 'likely playing Week 15" vs the Titans. If he does, he has a very favorable match up.
JACK - WR Marqise Lee has 16 targets over the past 2 games, the most of any Jag WR. 11 receptions for 142 yards and 1 TD.
JACK - If RB T Gerhart gets the bulk of the work for the rest of the season, his match up Week 15 isn't very appealing, BUT his Week 16 is...at home vs TENN, who has the worst run defense in the NFL.
ARI - Out of no where HC Arians had RB K Williams carry 19 times Wk 14. Wouldn't be a surprise if only 4 days later it's Grice or Taylor. ST L is tough regardless.
ARI - Sit WR M Floyd Week 15. This should be a defensive battle with ST L, and a low scoring affair.
CHI - With WR B Marshall on IR, TE M Bennett is a must start for the rest of the season.
FANTASY TIP - Both QBs Roethlisberger and M Ryan are top players Week 15. The football will be flying in this one because neither defense can stop the pass.
DET - At Home vs Minn - The Vikings are better against the pass, than the run. This shouldn't be close, so RB Joique Bell should get plenty of carries.
STL - Over the past 5 games, the St L Rams defense has held their opponents to only 240 rushing yards, which averages out to just 48 yards a game.
CAR - QB Cam Newton was thankfully not seriously hurt in his car accident, but the injuries to his back will likely keep him out for the rest of the season. Derek Anderson will take over as starting QB.
CAR - Panthers say they haven't committed to RB J Stewart as their starter. Nice try Rivera, but TB won't be game planning for anyone else.
CHI - WR Brandon Marshall was placed on IR. WR Marguess Wilson will bump to the #2 WR for the Bears.
NYJ - WR Percy Harvin's ankle injury will cost him the rest of the season. He'll be sent to IR, but he ended strong, posting 124 yards and a TD vs his old team (Minn) in week 14.
FANTASY UPDATE - Even if A Peterson is reinstated back into the NFL, with only 3 games left, no team is likely to take on the PR nightmare that will go with this guy. RB Rice was reinstated over a week ago, and he is still unemployed.
ARI - Word out of Arizona is that the Cardinals are considering shutting down Andre Ellington (hip) for the remainder of the season.
ARI - Interviews with HC Bruce Arians gives you an idea why players love to play for him & why they're winning. Really cool guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVfbBXa77Q0
WASH - QB Colt McCoy has 2 1/2 games under his belt for the 2015 season. In those games, he's thrown for 819 yards and has 4 TDs (1 rushing ).
DEN - Do NOT plan on TE Julius Thomas suiting up Sunday for the clash with Buffalo. He's not healthy and Denver can beat Buffalo without him.
WASH - HC Gruden says WR DeSean Jackson is "a long shot to play" in Week 14.
KC - We know QB Alex Smith doesn’t throw any TD passes to WRs (not one in 2014). But, TE Fasano has 3 in the past 4 games. The Chiefs are at ARI Week 14.
CAR - In Deeper Leagues...Take a look at CAR WR Philly Brown (at NO ) – Quietly taken over the #3 WR position for the Panthers and has 2 TDs in as many weeks.
ARI - RB A Ellington has been ruled OUT for Sundays' match up vs KC. We suspect RBs Grice and Taylor will shoulder the biggest load in a RRBC approach.
MIA - Really interesting WR Sleeper Week 14 - J Landry at home vs the Baltimore Ravens who are 2nd to last vs the pass.
NYG - Really interesting RB Sleeper Week 14 - NYG Andre Williams is likely starting (w/ RB Jennings injured) at Tenn - who are dead last vs the run.
CHI - WR Brandon Marshall took a wicked Dallas defender knee to the back on Thursday and was taken to a hospital in an ambulance. His status for the rest of the season is very much in doubt.
TB - Most team owners will have to start him, but WR Vincent Jackson hasn't scored a TD since Week 4, and has only 2 scores in 2014.
CINN - Barely getting the job done - In the past 7 games, QB A Dalton has only 7 TD passes, & is averaging under 200 yards passing over that span.
DAL - WR Terrance Williams hasn't caught a TD pass since Week 7 and hasn't topped 69 receiving yards since Week 6.
CLEV - RB I Crowell is battling a hip injury and is in jeopardy of missing Week 14. Fumble prone RB West would get the start if Crowell sits.
ATL - Although WR Roddy White is practicing, his status for Monday's match up with GB is still up in the air. Fantasy team owners should consider rostering WR H Douglas for insurance (116 yards Week 13 ).
What team's run defense is the worst in the NFL? ESPN lists Tennessee dead last. (They play NYG Week 14.)
GB- The Green Bay Packers have scored at least one TD in 1st qtr of every single game this season...except in Week 2.
ARI- As suspected (see Utter-Fantasy's Waiver Wire Pick Ups) RB Ellington's hip injury is worst then ARI let on. RRBC approach but RB Grice should get the start.
CLEV - Oh goody...we don't have to talk about Manziel for at least another week. CLEV HC Pettine has named QB Hoyer the starter again Week 14.
ARI - RB A Ellington will not practice Wednesday and owners should not plan on starting him Week 14. RB Grice is expected to start if Ellington sits.
-ENN- QB Mettenberger is nursing an injured shoulder. (Maybe if the NY Giants get a lead this week, they can actually keep it.)
DET - RB Reggie Wuss - Same o' same o'..."I'm ready to play" he says. 50-50 chance he doesn't.
ATL - WR Roddy White expected to play after sitting out with an ankle injury Week 13.
HOU- As expected, RB Arian Foster is active Week 13.
MINN- RB Matt Asiata is expected to get the start for the Vikings with RB McKinnon sitting out.
Nice WR Sleeper Week 13 - MIA Jarvis Landry @ NYJ- QB Tannehill's go-2-guy past 3 weeks. Jets are just OK vs the pass - 50 yds & 2 TDs Week 12.
Nice RB Sleeper Week 13 - IND Robert Herron vs Wash - A recommended pick up Week 12. Totaled 96 yds vs Richardson's 42. TR got the TD, however.
OAK - RB Latavius Murray did not pass the league's concussion protocol, so fantasy owners will need to wait another week.
NFL - RB Ray Rice won his appeal and has been re-instated into the NFL. Now let's see if any team wants the PR nightmare of signing him.
MINN - RB McKinnon is OUT Week 13, leaving fantasy owners to pick from either Asiata, Barnyard or Ben Tate, if they want a Minn RB.
CAR - If you lost HOU QB R Mallett or don't like the QB match ups, CAR QB Cam Newton may have been dropped on bye & has great remaining schedule. Consider adding him to your roster.
DET - WR Calvin Johnson has only one TD since Week 1and has only topped 100+ twice in 2014.
BALT - J Forsett shredded the Saints run defense for182 yards and 2 TDs. Can't wait to see what RB LeVeon Bell does vs N.O. Week 13 at home!
NYJ - Future ex-Head Coach Rex Ryan can't decide who will be the starting QB for the Jets Week 13. In related news...it doesn't matter.
DEN - The Broncos sign new kicker Connor Barth.
HOU - RB A Foster is in-active Week 12. RB A Blue will start.
DET - Reggie B is of course in-active once again Week 12.
IND - Today on ESPN, Adam Schefter told Sunday NFL Countdownthat Dan "Boom" Herron is a guy to watch "today and moving forward" in the Colts' backfield.
TB - The Bucs are listing RB C Sims as questionable and there is news of RB D Martin returning. The TB RB situation is one to avoid!
DEN - TE Julius Thomas attended, but wasn't able to practice Friday. WR E Sanders practiced but hasn't been cleared to play. Sanders has a better shot to play than Thomas does in Week 12.
CLEV - Ignore the early week optimism, it appears Jordan Cameron (concussion) is sidelined once again and now signs point toward Cameron missing his fourth-straight game.
OAK - Utter-Fantasy's RB Sleeper Latavius Murray totaled 127 yards vs KC Thursday Night and ran for 2 TDs…one was a fantastic 90 yard TD dash in the 2nd qtr that had KC defenders chasing the speedy back in futility.
NE - "Reunited and it feels so good!"…RB Le Blount signed back with the Patriots on Thursday.
MINN - RB Ben Tate was claimed by the Vikings and should see action right away with RB M Asiata out on concussion protocol.
DEN - Not on the Utter-Fantasy Waiver Wire Pick Ups Week 12: DEN WR C Latimer (1 catch, 9 yds in 2014). The Broncos are currently 7-3 (vs 9-1 in 2013) Tough match up against Miami so this is not the week Peyton works in the rookie.
IND - RB A Bradshaw OUT with a broken ankle and TE D Allen also injured (seen in a walking boot). TE C Fleener is an exceptional waiver wire pick up for Week 12.
DEN - RB CJ Anderson officially named the starter.
FANTASY FOOTBALL - 3 Bold Predictions by contributing writer Phil E. Stake: 1) The Rams surprise Denver and actually make them work to win the game. 2) Andy Dalton bounces back in a big way and rips N.O. for 5 TD passes. AJ Green catches none of them. 3) New England gets their ass handed to them in Indy, losing by 20.
DET - As one would expect, RB Reggie B is sitting out with more "owies".
SD - RB Ryan Matthews will make his return Week 11. Don't expect a big load of work.
HOU - RB A Foster is looking like no-go week 11. Fantasy owners need to pick up RB Blue for insurance.
SEA - RB M Lynch is questionable…but he'll play.
CINN - RB Gio Bernard is OUT.
NO - RB M Ingram Will carry the rock by himself again Week 11. RB K Robinson and P Thomas ruled OUT again.
NYG - RB R Jennings due to suit up, but will split carries with A Williams for at least this week.
BUFF - No Fred Jackson Thursday night. It will be the Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown show.
MINN - Check your leagues Free Agents and see if WR G jennings or C Patterson were dropped for their Week 10 Bye. The Vikings play Chicago, and you saw what the Packers did to them.
DEN - Reports now out asserting that RB Hillman likely out 2-3 weeks.
ARI - In Real Estate…it's Location, Location, Location. In Football….it's Chemistry, Chemistry ,Chemistry. In 2014 QB D Stanton has thrown 3 TDs…all 3 to WR John Brown.
OK…Chicago stinks....BUT….5 of the next 6 games are at home AND 4 of those are against bad defenses. Selling Forte, BM, or Jeff? I'm buying!
JACK - WR A Robinson is out for the season.
CHI - WR B Marshall's ankle injury isn't considered serious. 5 of the Bears next 6 games are home games.
BUFF - RB F Jackson will play today vs KC after putting in 3 practices.
PHIL - Eagles activated left guard Evan Mathis from IR. Big boost to the offense and LeSean McCoy' fantasy value.
PITTm- The Steelers are without Troy Polamalu, Ryan Shazier, Ike Taylor, Sh Thomas or Ross Ventrone…giving the Jets offense a chance at least this week.
OAK - Stuck for a TE to fill in Week 10? Consider TE Mychal Rivera. Over the past 2 weeks 15/121/2 TDs. Makes sense Oak will throw a lot vs Denver.
TB - The Bucs apparently have benched QB Glennon for McCown for the Week 10 match up vs Atlanta. Week 3 McCown threw for 58 yards and one INT. Nice move Coach Lovie.
DAL - Owner Jerry Jones says QB T Romo will play Week 10 in London. Based on how Weeden performed, we hope he's right.
FANTASY News - QB P Manning says, "He stunk!" - (438 yards - 2TDs - 2 INTs) I wonder what description QB P Rivers would use? (138 yards - 0 TDs - 3 INTs)
PITT - Utter-Fantasy's #1 Sleeper RB J Hill posted 163 total yards and 2 TDs on Sunday. (One run was a 60 yard TD…who knew he was this fast?)
PITT - Utter-Fantasy's Sleeper, WR M Bryant, made savvy owners happy again. Dynasty owners need to pick him up now!
DEN - WR W Welker's latest injury and lack of production (even when healthy) is reason to drop him from team rosters.
HOU - RB A Foster's reaction following his injury suggests that it may be severe enough that he will miss games following his Week 10 Bye. If you have room on your bench, RB A Blue would be an interesting add.
FANTASY ADVICE - With 6 more teams on Byes Week 10, QB M Sanchez is a good pick up (QB Foles out 4-6 weeks). Sanchez plays Monday Night at home vs CAR.
TB - RB B Rainey is the back in TB to start. RB Martin and Sims may not even suit up.
DAL - QB T Romo is OUT Week 9. QB B Weeden is starting and should use TE J Witten & RB D Murray more. Downgrade WR Bryant & Williams Fantasy Football value.
CINN - RB Gio Bernard is very likely sitting out Week 9. Pick up RB J Hlll, who could see 20 carries.
WASH - RB Alfred Morris (at Minn) - I don’t like QB RG3 starting, I don't like the match up. and I don't like green eggs and ham…so there you go.
DAL - QB Romo did not practice Wed and will be a game time decision. Unless it's made official otherwise, Romo will play.
WASH - QB RG3 has been named the starter in WASH. He's rusty and wasn't very good when he was healthy, but with 6 teams on a bye week, at least he has a good match up at Minnesota.
CINN - Our WR rankings aren't showing WR A J Green, but he did practiced today. Green will be a top 10 WR in the rankings when we know for sure that he's suiting up Week 9 vs Jacksonville.
CAR - RB De Williams is supposed to suit up Thursday vs the Saints. It is not a good match up and he will be RBBC with Jonathan Stewart. Avoid both!
NYJ - Since they are both inter-changeably bad, let's just announce that the starting QB for the New York Jets in Week 9 is Geno Vick.
PITT - Big Ben Throws 6 TDs (and 522 yards). Is this how GOOD he can be, or was Indy exposed as being this BAD?
FANTASY FOOTBALL - BYES Week 9: ATL, BUFF, CHI, DET, GB, TENN
TB - RB Doug Martin - Ankle injury - Look for RB B Rainey and RB Charlie Sims to take over RB duties.
MINN - WR C Patterson - Ended the game with injury to his left foot. Not considered serious but his performances have been bad with a HEALTHY left foot. This won't help!
CINN - RB Gio Bernard - Missed 4th qtr with hip injury. Gio isn't big enough to continue this pounding all year. Expect RB Jeremy Hill to have a bigger role in 2nd half of the season.
-When we are not sleeping or eating fantasy football, we're drinking it!
TB - With WR V Jackson questionable, WR L Murphy is an intriguing Waiver Wire Pickup for Week 8.
N.O. - RB K Robinson has been ruled out, making RB T Cadet a must add.
IND - WR R Wayne officially OUT Sunday at Pittsburgh. WRs H Nicks and D Moncrief will be the benefactors. Consider adding or starting them.
FANTASY FOOTBALL NEWS - TELEVISED SUNDAY 9:30 AM EST - The DET Lions vs ATL Falcons game is a televised game from London. YOur fantasy team rosters need to be in EARLY!
Congrats to Emmanuel Sanders and all fantasy team owners that scored him last night, when he had 120 yards and 3 TDs.
SD - No team so far in 2014 has kicked more than 2 FGs against Denver. Teams just can't keep up with the Bronco offense by kicking FGs, therefore, sit K Nick Novak Week 8.
Tampa Bay - One of the few WR sleepers that still might be available on waivers is TB Louis Murphy (vs Minn) – 100 yards Week 4 and TDs in both Week 5 & 6. (Bye week 7.) QB Glennon has targeted him almost 9 times a game.
PITT - WR M Wheaton has absolutely no chemistry with QB Roethlisberger. Out of the impressive 2014 rookie class of WRs, he can be considered a bust...so far.
PITT - WR Martavis Bryant. If Pittsburgh is behind in this game, look for Big Ben to throw some deep shots to Bryant. TD pass to him Week 7.
HOU - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick could have his best game of the season this week as their opponent, the Tenn Titans, roll out rookie QB Mettenberger as their starting QB. Bad news for any fantasy team owners with Titans, great news for any fantasy team owners with Texans.
N.O. - Sleeper recommendation for RB T Cadet, with RB P Thomas (the passing back) expected to miss 2-3 weeks. RB K Robinson didn’t practice Wed. RB M Ingram being eased back into the start. All this leads to opportunities for Cadet.
DET - Forget about RB Reggie B and consider RB Theo Riddick as a fantasy football sleeper this week vs Atlanta in London. QB Stafford likes Riddick in the passing game.
N.O. - TE Jimmy Graham, despite playing on 30 snaps, had zero catches Week 7. The Saints are in the spotlight playing Sunday Night vs Green Bay Week 8.
MIA - WR Mike Wallace has a TD reception in every single game this year, except one.
IND - WR Reggie Wayne looks to miss 1-2 weeks. WR H Nicks starts opposite WR TY Hilton.
ATL - If this team doesn't get a balanced offense and send RB St Jackson to the bench, they will stink all year.
ST L - Pete Carroll out-coached by Jeff Fisher. Two trick plays help give Rams the upset victory.
JACK - RB Den Robinson runs crazy for Jacksonville. 127 yards and 1 TD. Jags get there 1st win of the 2014 season!
BUFF - RB Bryce Brown is LeSean McCoy Jr,and is the back to pick up in Buffalo.
BUFF - RB C J Spllier is OUT for the season and RB F Jackson is OUT for a month. RB Bryce Brown and RB Dixon will take over. They're good waiver wire pickups.
DET - I forgot that New Orleans is RB Reggie Bush's former team. I like him even more Week 7.
N.O. - TE Jimmy Graham will play today but in a limited fashion. Most of his action will be in the red zone as a big target for QB Brees. He won't end up with a lot of yards.
CAR - WR Kelvin Benjamin (concussion) has been cleared to play Week 7 against the Packers. He plays at Green bay which is ranked #15 defensively.
CAR - RB J Stewart is finally healthy and made the starter Week 7 vs Green Bay (who are last in the NFL vs the run) RB Stewart hasn't surpassed 60 yards in a game since 2012, however, it's a good match up and he'll probably get around 15 carries. May be worth adding to your fantasy football roster.
Fantasy Football is my mistress. (My wife doesn't mind because she knows that I love a mistress who in Week 6, clearly doesn't love me back.)
SEA - Coach Pete Carroll finally found a taker for Percy "Terrell Owens" Harvin. Freed up lots of SEA money. Although they don't throw much, WR J Kearse has the best chemistry w/ QB Wilson and should benefit a little more.
JACK - Coach Gus Bradley said Friday they'll continue to use a three-way committee in the backfield. You're 0-6. How's that working so far Bradley?
DEN - WR E Sanders is the only WR in the top 40 that doesn't have a TD reception so far this season.
WASH - TE Jordan Reed - Clear #1 TE in WASH again. QB Cousins targeted him 11 times Week 6 for 92 receiving yards.
GB - WR Davante Adams had 8 targets and 77yards Week 6. QB Aaron Rodgers is trusting him more & more. His fantasy value is rising.
DET - If the Lions were on a losing streak, Calvin Johnson would find a way to get on the field, but the win Week 6 gave them the confidence to play without him. Megatron won't play Week 7 either.
NE - The Patriots fear that Stevan Ridley tore his ACL in Sunday's Week 6 win at Buffalo. RB Brandon Bolden is good add, but with Belichick, no RB in New England is a sure thing.
